This hotel is all about the view. Perched atop a cliff with a good clear view of the Med whilst sat on the terrace and the best bit is due to location (yes a little out of the way, 25-30 euro's in a taxi from Forio or St Angelo, verbal prices quoted and paid as meter price one day was 42 euros) the peace and quiet is amazing. There are other properties up on the next hill and occasional dogs barking, but most of the time it's very quiet. Walking to this property from Panza bus stop is not what we tried (the road is twisty and at times no more than a track but very hilly) especially in the current temperatures. Vito or Johnny are more than willing to drop you off to Panza, Poseidon or the main bus stop at various times throughout the day and also collect from there up to a certain time, very helpful and very very appreciated. The staff are very helpful and I can't give them enough credit for all they do to help you enjoy the stay. The hotel is starting to appear dated in some areas but nothing we found affected our stay. I found the bed a little firm, however all hotels seem to have differing ideas on what type of mattress used so no biggy there. There was no fridge in our room which was missed and I would hope they install them as an upgrade especially with the heat they seem to be getting more regularly, really missed being able to have a cold refreshing drink in the middle of the night. The breakfasts are a simple affair and I enjoyed the pastries and coffee. At the moment the greenery has grown to block the view from the breakfast area, which is a shame as it is a good selling point when eating breakfast to look out to a lovely blue sea. The pool although not very large is certainly adequate to cool off in should you have a lazy day at the hotel. However, having done this for two days we realised that it can be a very long day if you have not already stocked up with some food or drink to keep you going throughout the day. This hotel at time of our stay only did breakfasts and a paid aperitif around 18:30hrs if you asked on the terrace. We had a few of those and they were very well priced (beer, prosecco, crisps, dough twists olives and cut meats and cheese). Vito conjured up a bottle of wine, beers or prosecco whenever asked, much appreciated on a hot day. The hotel can arrange deliveries of meals from takeaway places to. We had a pizza delivery one night and it was very good. I was jealous of the wifes fritatina (apologies if spelt wrong), looked very good and must have tasted good as she didn't share. Big question is did it live up to expectations? I would have to say yes it did. Vito, Johnny and the rest of the staff are very customer friendly and have a lot of island knowledge to help you decide where to go or where to eat. We had some cracking meals based on their recommendations and the Portebello in Ischia Porto is also owned by the hotel owner and gives a good discount, helped by serving very nice food with a good marina view. Ci siamo trovati benissimo; i punti forti della struttura sono la colazione, principalmente dolce ma anche salata, con tante torte diverse e che variavano giorno per giorno, poi la piscina, non particolarmente grande ma con acqua sempre piacevolmente calda e una bella cascata cervicale, e infine la posizione, praticamente nel mezzo ma vicinissima sia a Forio con la spiaggia di Chiaia e il centro (che consiglio di visitare soprattutto di Giovedì) che a Lacco Ameno con la spiaggia di San Montano. Inoltre di fronte alla struttura c è un minimarket e vicinissimo si trova un supermercato e la fermata autobus. Le camere sono semplici, abbastanza pulite e il bagno molto grande con cabina doccia, il personale dell hotel è stato gentilissimo e disponibile durante tutto il soggiorno, c'è il wifi ma prende bene principalmente negli spazi comuni come piscina, giardino e sala. Da segnalare solamente la strada esterna all hotel che purtroppo non ha marciapiede quindi bisogna stare molto attenti specialmente di notte.

Die Zimmerart ist sehr unterschiedlich, von der Seite des Pools, zum Weinberg, zum Meerblick, in jedem Winkel des Hotels können Sie den Frieden und Entspannung genießen, die ein Sommertag erfordert. Der einzige Punkt auf die Pflege des Grüns, einige Gebiete sind willkommen ”brulle” , vielleicht ist eine Merkmale der Insel. Auch in anderen Gebäuden habe ich die gleiche ”Philosophie”, warten Sie nicht auf die Gärten in Italien Mit der Zeit wird auch geschätzt Das Personal ist sehr nett, mit seinem Direktor in primis, immer anwesend und bereit, seine Kunden zu schütteln. Wenn ich das sage, werde ich sicher zurückkommen.

Die Economy Zimmer (150 m oberhalb der Straße) sind nicht zu empfehlen, Aufpreis für Zimmer im Haupthaus 15 € pro Person und Tag. Die Anlage und die Zimmer sind sauber und dem Landesstil entsprechend eingerichtet und gepflegt. Sauna ist nur für 4 Personen, alt und in die Jahre gekommen. Thermalpools sind schön und sauber, draußen auch abends tolle Stimmung und alles schön beleuchtet. Personal freundlich, aber Service beim Abendessen ist sehr chaotisch - man muß teilweise sehr lange warten bis man bedient wird und was zum Trinken und/oder Essen bekommt. Mit Kindern unvorstellbar.

Ho trascorso in questa struttura l’intera scorsa settimana e mi sono trovata benissimo, tornando davvero rigenerata a casa! L’Hotel Grazia alla Scannella sovrasta l’omonima baia: sospeso fra l’azzurro del cielo e il verde del mare, gode di una posizione tranquilla, che regala una vista di impareggiabile bellezza, specie al tramonto (per il raggiungimento della vicina spiaggia di Citara, l’hotel mette comunque a disposizione degli ospiti una navetta gratuita, che effettua più corse durante la giornata). La struttura è stata rinnovata da poco, tutti gli ambienti sono estremamente puliti, le camere arredate con gusto; la mia aveva un grazioso balconcino ad angolo, che da un lato affacciava sulla piscina esterna e dall’altro offriva l’incantevole vista della baia. Apprezzabile il parco termale ed il centro benessere; bellissima la piscina esterna con terrazza-solarium; molto ricco e vario il buffet della colazione; ottima, tanto nella preparazione quanto nella presentazione degli alimenti, la cucina; personale cortese e sempre disponibile. Molto piacevole la serata ischitana, offerta la sera del sabato, con menù tipico e musica dal vivo: un plauso alla bravura del maître, improvvisatosi attore/cantante, ma anche al trio musicale di chitarre e mandolino, bravi davvero! Ho apprezzato molto le lezioni di acqua gym, offerte dalla Direzione il giovedì e il sabato, non ho potuto partecipare a quelle di yoga, invece, perché non avevo un abbigliamento adatto con me, sarà per una prossima volta! 100% Weiterempfehlung, super Lage, toller Service, einwandfrei. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Hatte eine tolle Woche auf Ischia (Forio). Die Lage ist perfekt. Das Hotel liegt zwar nicht direkt am Strand, jedoch sind verschiede Strände in ca. 10 Minutigen Spaziergang zu erreichen. Auch den Hafen oder die Stadtmitte ist fußläufige sehr gut zu erreichen. Eine Bushaltestelle ist ca. 300 Meter vom Hotel entfernt . Mit dem Bus kann man direkt nach Ischia Porto oder zum Citara Strand fahren. Mit dem Bus zu fahren war ein schönes und interessantes Erlebnis :-). In der Nähe des Hotels befindet sich eine Enoteca. Ca. 150 Meter vom Hotel entfernt. Ein toller gemütlicher Laden, sehr zu empfehlen (L'AGRODOLCE ENOTECA E PRODOTTI TIPICI). Ich hatte ein Zimmer im Nebengebäude, sehr ruhig und gut ausgestattet. Insgesamt eine einfache Einrichtung aber völlig ausreicheSonst einfach Auto mieten und die Insel bereisen. Der Service war/ist exzellent, wahnsinnig gut. Das Personal (Anja, Emanuele und der Rest) sehr freundlich egal ob beim Frühstück, an der Bar oder beim Abendessen. Immer sehr aufmerksam und achten darauf, dass sich die Gäste wohl fühlen. Vielen Dank dafür. Macht weiter so. Einfach lecker, die Gerichte immer frisch zubereitet. Man kann Wünsche äußern und diese werden auch erfüllt. Der Küchenchef (Gennaro) macht sein Job einfach perfekt.
