Uniche note positive la gentilezza dello staff alla reception e le bottiglie d'acqua omaggio nel frigo bar. Per il resto assolutamente sconsigliato, la nostra stanza era un piano terra soppalcato umido e claustrofobico, in 4 ci si muoveva a stento, aria condizionata appena percettibile e cattivo odore. Il bagno,piccolissimo, bisognava fare manovra per entrare, con la porta che si apriva sbattendo sul wc e si restava praticamente incastrati. Colazione pessima, scelta misera fra briochine imbustate con qualità da discount, la ragazza addetta alla colazione con l'aria sfuggente e annoiata. Non comprendo le recensioni positive ed entusiaste, purtroppo ci hanno guidato male nella scelta di questo hotel, che di ”luxury ” non ha niente, oltretutto non ha parcheggio e non ha nessuna posizione vantaggiosa rispetto alla città e all'aeroporto,anzi è posizionato fuori mano e in una zona squallida. 170 euro per una notte si potevano spendere molto meglio.

Lots of great things to say about the service and assistance..location was also convenient to buses,dining and sites...Basic room, small,no tea/coffee or waste bin outside of bathroom. No toiletries but a complimentary bottle of water day one ..no room for a chair ..just bed and desk.. very compact..Breakfast was included but stayed the same every day and options were limited. If your ok with basic then it would suit but you may be disappointed if your looking for a kettle...finally think twice if you book a city view room, it overlooks a highly trafficked street,lots of noise and a view of alleys.we picked ocean view and while the balcony was tiny the view was superb

There is street parking…area felt very safe…but also a 3 minute walk there is parking..multi story …8 euros per 24 hours Katerina who runs the suites was very professional and very lovely. 10 min walk to the high street, 5 mins from restaurants and coffee shops. Close to the museum.

Für drei Nächte waren wir Mitte Oktober 2021 im Dom Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern und hell eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer ist schön gestaltet und verfügte bei uns auch über ein Fenster zum Hinterhof. Die Zimmer zum Hinterhof sind ruhig gelegen. Nur die startenden Flugzeuge hört man etwas durch die guten und schallisolierten Fenster. Das ist aber sicherlich bei allen Hotels im Stadtzentrum von Heraklion der Fall. Die Lage vom Hotel ist sehr gut um von dort aus die Stadt zu erkunden. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut und schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Alle Mitarbeiter im Hotel waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insbesondere bei Costa (Bar- und Frühstücksservice) möchten wir uns nochmal bedanken, für die guten Tipps und den empfohlenen Segelbootausflug. Das Frühstück war im Zimmerpreis inklusive, mit einer großen Auswahl an guten Produkten und köstlichen Kreationen. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr hell gestaltet und bietet eine gute und ruhige Atmosphäre für einen Start in den Tag. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Hotel Dom sehr empfehlen. Preisleistung, Service, Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, Zimmerausstattung, Qualität der Speisen und der Getränke an Bar, alles sehr gut.

Wir sind abends in Heraklion gelandet und für eine Nacht geblieben, bevor wir weitergereist sind. Wir hatten den Flughafentransfer dazugebucht, was hervorragend funktioniert hat. Die Zimmer sind funktional, schlicht aber geschmackvoll und sehr modern. Sehr sauber! Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend. Ab nächstem Jahr soll auch ein Café angeschlossen werden. Bis dahin kann man sich tolles Frühstück in einer Bäckerei (drei Minuten Fußweg) holen und auf dem Balkon genießen. Tolles Hotel, würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.

Schon vor der Ankunft wurden wir mit allen Informationen für unsere Anreise ausgestattet. Bei unserer Ankunft war der Empfang besetzt und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Unser zimmer war noch nicht ganz fertig, da wir etwas früher ankamen als geplant. Uns wurde für die Wartezeit ein Getränk angeboten und es gab eine schöne Sitzgelegenheit. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und für eine Nacht mehr als ausreichend. Es gab einen leckeren handgemachten Begrüßungssnack, eine schöne Flasche Wein und andere Snacks. Wasser und eine kleine Kaffeemaschine waren inklusive. Wir sind leider schon sehr früh morgens aufgebrochen zum Hafen. Jedoch haben wir unsere kurze Übernachtung hier sehr genossen. Sollten wir wieder einmal ein paar Nächte in Heraklion verbringen wollen, wird das sicher eine Anlaufstelle für uns sein.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Nicht groß aber auch nicht zu klein. Bett sehr gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet reicht. Man kann es nicht mit einem großen Hotel vergleichen aber es ist o.k. Die Lage ist super für alles in der Stadt. Wie bei einem Stadthotel normal sind die Straßen nicht immer still. Aber es geht nur wenig Verkehr durch die Straße. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und macht den Aufenthalt angenehm. Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren so froh, dass wir diese Wohnungen für unseren 3-Nacht-Übernachtung in Heraklion gewählt haben. Wir waren 3 Familien und wir haben das ein Schlafzimmer, eine Schlafzimmer Suite und 2 Schlafzimmer gewählt. Die Wohnungen waren sehr modern und perfekt eingerichtet. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte sehr gut und das Personal war sehr glücklich und hilfreich. Sie waren zur Verfügung, um uns so viele Flaschen Wasser wie wir gefragt und hilfreich Informationen über alles zu geben. Die Lage war großartig, buchstäblich aus der Lobby und in den Hauptplatz von Heraklion. Restaurants, Geschäfte und Sehenswürdigkeiten direkt an den Treppen! Parkplatz für unsere Autos war ein paar Blöcke in einer Parkgarage (8 Euro pro Tag) mit Ein- und Ausreise Privilegien. Eine schnelle 5-minütige Fahrt zum Fährterminal. Ich würde es sehr empfehlen, hier zu bleiben und wir werden sicherlich wieder bei Rückkehr in Heraklion bleiben.

L’appartement est très bien situé au centre d’Héraklion. Il est à 20 minutes d’auto à partir de l’aéroport. Sur la même rue, il y a un parking souterrain payant (12 euros) que nous avons utilisé à 5 occasions sans aucun problème. Il y a aussi une épicerie, des boulangeries, des restaurants et une multitude de commerces tout autour. Géographiquement, l’emplacement est idéal. Nous avons résidé à l’appartement 1 du 4e étage. Une chambre fermée, une salle de bains, un grand salon - cuisine. Le balcon est toutefois le point fort de cet appartement. Il est grand, et on y relaxe bien en fin de journée. Le matin, on vous laisse à déjeuner pour deux: céréales, lait, œufs, confitures, pain, etc. Cependant , l’appartement aurait besoin d’un peu plus d’équipement: micro-ondes, ciseaux, grille-pain, planche à repasser, commodes, cintres (il n’y en avait que 6)… Pour ce qui est de la salle de bains, elle est très petite et elle manque cruellement de tablettes pour s’organiser. Hormis cela, nous pouvons affirmer que l’appartement est parfait pour un court séjour de 2-3 nuits. Quand vous y restez pour plus d’une semaine, vous vous rendez compte, à ce moment, du manque d’équipement. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et font de leur mieux pour répondre à nos besoins.

I couldn’t fault it, it is absolutely amazing more than I expected. The interior design is amazing and professionally done, bathroom design gave me ideas for our new home. It’s near shops but having a car is a must, Crete is one large and beautiful island. The restaurant outside is amazing and we also found a great cafe down the road which had great food.

Nachdem wir in einem außergewöhnlich heißen Tag über Kreta gereist sind, haben wir die oft verrückten Straßen von Heraklion Navigationswege gefunden, um dieses Geschmack eines Ortes zu finden. brillantes Personal, Wohnung und Ausstattung!! Wir fanden die Wohnung sehr modern mit allen Mod-Cons und mehr! Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr lokal informiert und großzügig mit ihrer Zeit und Hilfe. Wir konnten das nicht sehr empfehlen. Als Familie von vier ist es oft schwer, diese Art von Reisen gut zu machen und wir brauchten eine Nacht in Komfort vor einem frühen Fähre nach Santorini. Ich wünschte, wir hätten hier eine Nacht geplant, um in Luxus etwas mehr zu kühlen. Der Pool ist hilarisch klein, aber gut Spaß und nicht zu vermeiden, auch wenn es andere genießen es’s bijou Status. Es gibt auch einen anständigen Gym mit Laufband und verschiedenen Gewichtsaufnahme-Geräte! Jetzt buchen!

Das Lato Hotel steht direkt am Hafen und ist vom Style modern eingerichtet auf wenn das Hotel schon etwas älter sein müsste (zu sehen am Aufzug der aber tadellos seinen Dienst verrichtet). Da das Hotel mitten in Heraklion liegt, ist die Parksituation schwierig, das Hotel hat aber eigene Parkplätze am Hafen (P1). Die Zimmer sind gross, modern eingerichtet und sauber. Da Heraklion regen Flugverkehr hat und das Hotel auch in der Ausflug-Schneise liegt hatte ich bedenken ob man hier zur Ruhe kommen kann. Ja kann man! Wir haben davon nichts mitbekommen und konnten sehr gut schlafen! Im 4. Stock gibt es übrigens noch ein Restaurant mit einer offenen Dachterasse wo man noch bis 23:00 Uhr etwas leckeres - auch vegetarisches - zu essen bestellen kann. Die Mitarbeiter sind im ganzen Hotel sehr freundlich. Wir hatten ein kleines Missverständnis bzgl des oä. Parkplatzes das aber mit der Hotelleitung sehr gut gelöst wurde. Nach den Motto: Wir kümmern uns darum, geniessen Sie Ihren Aufenthalt. Grosses Lob dafür! Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und bot auch einige Leckereien die ich nicht erwartet hätte. Der grosse Frühstücksraum ist angenehm eingerichtet und hat ein schönes Ambiente. Bedingt durch Corona ist das Dampfbad leider geschlossen gewesen deswegen kann ich zum SPA Bereich des Lato leider wenig sagen.

Sehr nette, gepflegte und neue Unterkunft in perfekter Lage in Heraklion. Vom Flughafen in rund 10 Minuten mit dem Taxi erreichbar, in einer ruhigen, kleinen Seitengasse in einer ruhigen Wohngegend gelegen und nur wenige Schritte zum Hafen und ins Zentrum. Im Bad gab es zwar kaum Ablagefläche bzw. Aufhängemöglichkeiten für die Handtücher - aber für zwei Nächte war das nicht so schlimm. Sehr netter Gastgeber mit tollen Lokaltipps zum Essengehen - vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Empfehlen wir gerne weiter!

For many years I have traveled 100 or more days a year. In SEP-OCT 2022, I traveled for a month in Greece staying at 12 hotels (and on an overnight Ferry). In this context and related to price, Heraklion Old Port Apartments was above average. PROS: Cost was very reasonable. The room with living room was clean, very spacious and with a well provided kitchen and fridge (supermarket food was extremely inexpensive in Crete). There were extra towels so no need for service. The young woman at the desk was very helpful and cordial. CONS: Close to the old port but about 700 meters to center of town and more to the National Museum or the main bus station (to Knossos or to the beaches). Still all can be reach by walking. The add say the room had great views which did not materialize. Heraklion has a lively main street around the fountain of the lions and a Great museum on the Minoan civilization which was spectacular. The museum in Heraklion was great but Knossos (reach by city bus) was very disappointing since I care for historical archaeology and not for the distorted recreation of the site by an over-imaginative British amateur. The beaches near Heraklion (which can be reach by inexpensive regular city buses) are adequate but not spectacular. In late September the beaches were not crowded at all, but still with warm water to swim. Heraklion was of interest in itself and where I rented the car to visit the rest of Crete (Xania with a picturesque Venetian port, spectacular Elefonsina Beach great for snorkeling, great ruins of Faestos, and many other atttractions). I spent 6 nights in Crete and could have enjoyed another week at least. Next trip I will stay longer in Crete. Parting remarks: Greece is wonderful, except for the touristic islands which were crowded even in October and I may skip them altogether next time. The Peloponesse resulted better than expected. Athens was safe anytime anywhere I moved, even after midnight. Travel light because not all hotels have elevators and in ancient towns you will climb many stairs and walk over cobblestones. Missing church number 59 was OK, sitting in a café watching people go by and doing nothing was inspiring even for hyper me. I had a wonderful trip.

Ich hatte die Freude, in Intra Muros zu bleiben. Zuerst kam ich gerade dorthin, um sich zu bauen, einige neue Freunde treffen und aus dort heraus venturen. Meine erste Nacht dort endete ich mit den erstaunlichsten Menschen, während ich reiste und ohne Notwendigkeit zu sagen, ich endete meinen Aufenthalt mit ihnen, weil die Vibe dort so gut war, dass ich nicht wollte gehen. Ich muss dem Eigentümer der Einrichtung danken, der während des Tages da war, und allen erstaunlichen Freiwilligen, die meinen Aufenthalt erstaunlich machen. Ich hätte nicht um eine bessere Zeit gebeten. Am ersten Tag da war ich eingeladen, einen Sonnenuntergang durch David zu machen, der mich dazu führte, jeden zu erfahren, wer dort war, der in einem wunderbaren griechischen mexikanischen Fusionsrestaurant endete. Nach dem Abendessen, das wir endlich endeten, um die Stadt zu gehen. David ist ein Freiwilliger, der auf der Innenmuros bleibt und ein paar Wanderungen und Touren rund um die Gegend und um. Wenn jemand irgendeine Nahrungsmitteloption oder Beratung auf den lokalen Essen und Trinken Orte braucht, ist er Ihr Mann. Mein erinnerelichstes Moment, im Hostel zu bleiben, war die Wanderung, die wir bis zum Aquadukt gemacht haben, und die zweite Wanderung, die wir in einem Weinberg für einen Geschmack und Charcuterie endete. Sicher zu sagen, dass ich meine Zeit dort glücklich genossen habe und ich werde sicherlich nächstes Jahr zurück sein. Danke noch einmal allen, die meinen Aufenthalt wunderbar gemacht haben. Wir haben hier eine Nacht auf unserem Weg von Chania nach Santorini verblieben. Wir sind eine Familie von 5 mit drei Kindern im Alter von 9, 12 und 14. Diese moderne, gut ausgestattete, lustige Wohnung hat viel Platz für eine große Familie. Zwei Doppelzimmer (ein mit Ensuite) und ein guter Sofabett im Wohnzimmer. Es gibt viele Ladegeräte für alle Arten (einschließlich USB-Socken), eine schöne Nespresso-Maschine und Kaffeelieferungen sowie große Flaschen Wasser. Die Badezimmer bieten eine große Auswahl an lokalen Toiletten. Dieses Hotel liegt in der Nähe von einigen Bars und Restaurants, aber beachten Sie, dass das Hauptzentrum von Heraklion etwa 20 Minuten zu Fuß ist. Es ist 10 Minuten mit Taxi zum Hafen.

I had a pleasant 7 night stay here at this accommodation while in Heraklion, Crete. It belongs to the Lato Boutique, which is the main hotel. The Annex is right opposite and required card access to enter. Room was the Economy room (15 sq. metres), a little on the small side, but good enough for a solo traveller. The room was right next to the stairwell and the lift, so there were times I could hear people moving about, but at night it was very quiet, and there were no sleep disruptions. Bed was comfy, air-conditioning was also good. The shower was also good, with shampoo and soap provided, though I noticed it was running a little low towards the end of my stay (i.e., no refills were done). I also appreciated that a luggage rack was provided, along with two bottles of water on check-in day. Fridge was big enough to fit lots of mineral water bottles to keep them cold, which would be a great reprieve in the summer time. Room safe was incredibly huge as well, it can easily store laptops securely, if needed. The elevator door got stuck on the day of check-out, but still worked, so not too big of an issue there. Wi-Fi requires a special code that you can get from the reception. My first code strangely stopped working after two days, but was promptly rectified after I informed the reception of the issue. There were no other connectivity issues for me. The hotel location is pretty near to the Venetian Port, and the Rocca Fortress; it is also walking distance away from the main shopping street in Heraklion and lots of good eating places nearby. There are also supermarkets nearby to get water as well. It does get quiet at night, but I did not encounter any incidents that made me feel unsafe. My room came with buffet breakfast included, which is served in the main building. Breakfast starts service from 7 am onwards, and was generally quite crowded at the start. Depending on the crowd level, the staff will occasionally open up a new section of the dining area. Breakfast was generally good, there was a good spread of American breakfast items, to pastries, ham and cheese and even Greek yogurt with a lot of condiments. It varied a little bit from day-to-day, but was generally the same for the most part.

Das neue, schön ausgeführte Smart Hotel im Herzen von Heraklion! Eine Familiengruppe von zwölf blieb hier während der Reise nach Kreta, Paros und Athen und das war ein Favorit. Wir blieben nur eine Nacht, aber unser Besuch geliebt. Das Hotel ist modern und klassisch, gleichzeitig mit schönen Marmor-Endpunkten. Als unsere Gruppe angekommen war, wurden wir bei der Rezeption begrüßt, um auf iPads zu registrieren. Dann wurden einige von uns kostenlos auf Luxuszimmer upgradiert. Es war über hundert Grad in Heraklion, so gingen wir bis zum Dachpool und Bar, die einen Blick auf das weite Meer hatte. Es war eine perfekte Möglichkeit, die Wärmewelle zu fahren. Die AC war großartig, das Bett erstaunlich komfortabel mit schräg sauberen Linen. Die Dusche war riesig wie die doppelte Vanity-Sänke. Es gab Kleider, Slips, Kaffee- und Teehersteller, Safe und Eisen. Es gab sogar einen kleinen privaten Balkon, um unsere nasse Badekleider zu trocken. Es befindet sich in der Nähe des Löwenkäufers mit vielen nahegelegenen Restaurants und Geschäften. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel sehr. Und hoffen, zurückzukehren.

Der Hotelparkplatz befindet sich hinter dem Hotel. Das Hotel befindet sich am Straßenrand. Ich bin ungefähr zweimal gefahren, um es zu finden. Die Fassade ist relativ klein. Aber die internen Einrichtungen sind gut und das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich. Es ist auch praktisch, um das Hotel herum zu essen. Dieser Preis kann im Fünf-Sterne-Hotel auf Kreta liegen. Ich denke, der Preis ist gut

We stayed at this hotel twice during our recent holiday. Our first stay was in the suite on the top floor. This is a spectacular room with a HUGE balcony. The room and balcony are the entire 5th floor, overlooking the churches and park. It even has an outdoor hot tub. Our second room was also nice, but it was tough going from the suite to a standard room. The location of the hotel is great. It faces the church courtyard and there are several cafes. There is easy access to the entire center of Heraklion. All of the hotel staff are amazing. They were polite and helpful. I would like to single out Petrali Margarita, the hotel manager. She was warm and friendly and really seemed to care about our happiness. She made dinner reservations for us and nail appointments for my wife and niece. She would greet us if we were outside at a cafe. Just a wonderful asset. My ONLY criticism would be the servers at the Hacienda cafe. The were rude and some were unprofessional. It took forever to get waited on, to the point of us moving to the other cafes in the square. It was hard to believe it was part of the hotel. The servers really need to be trained on efficiency and customer interaction. Beside that, a splendid hotel. We will go back again.
