Wir blieben hier nur eine Nacht und kamen wirklich spät an, aber der Manager an der Rezeption wartete auf uns, bis wir ankamen und uns einen Parkplatz vorbehalten. Das Zimmer war geräumig, obwohl es klein war und alle wesentlichen Dinge einschließlich Kettle/Tee/Kaffee hatte. Wir schliefen wirklich gut, als die Betten komfortabel waren. Das Badezimmer war klein und datiert, aber wir waren froh, dass es sauber und spotless war. Das Frühstück war das beste! Es war ein Smorgasbord von isländischen und nicht isländischen Delikatessen. Von den drei Hotels, die wir in Island geblieben haben, hatten sie bislang die besten Frühstücksoptionen. Das Personal war extrem freundlich. Wir genossen unsere ein-nachtliche Aufenthalt und würden sicher wiederkommen.

Wir genossen unsere ein-nachtliche Aufenthalt in Bru Guesthouse Ende Dezember. Die Einzelhäuser sind eine große Idee, und eine große Möglichkeit, Privatsphäre zu haben. Sie sind relativ klein, genau wie sie in den Bildern sehen. Ein paar km von der Ringstraße auf guten Grabstraßen. Kein Problem zu erreichen. Selbstkontrolle jederzeit (Schlüssel in der Lockbox). Es ist so weit entfernt (entfernt von der Stadt, weg von der Straße), es wäre ein toller Ort, um die Nordlichter ... zu sehen, wenn es nicht wolkenig war. Große Wärme. Begrenztes heißes Wasser, aber die 3 von uns hatten kein Problem (wir teilen Duschen zwischen Morgen und Abend und nahmen relativ schnell Duschen ...as wäre wahr bei den meisten isländischen Unterkünften außerhalb von Reykjavík). Das war der teuerste Ort, an dem wir auf unserer 10-Tage-Islandreise geblieben waren, aber nicht überwältigend mehr. Island ist überall teuer.

I searched for a hotel in this area as we were planning to travel to Westmann Islands the next morning. We arrived at ”prime time” (6-7pm) and easily checked in. There were pre-planned names/keys on the main counter. The two women who were working were quiet but friendly. The hotel is a rectangular building with about 11-12 rooms off a main hallway. Everything is fresh/clean and modern. Our room was spacious and the beds/linens and all were comfortable. We could hear people next door when in the bathroom but it was not any problem. A storm blew in while we were relaxing in the room and it was beautiful to watch from the window including a big rainbow for a finale. The dining room may lack a little charm. There is nothing to walk to - but the location is great for the views of basically the beautiful terrain. If you're going in June or summer it appears there must be loads of lupine blooming (we were too early). We requested to eat dinner (planned ahead via email). Emails were responded to very quickly. Dinner was very good. Homemade is best:) I would return when in Iceland.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your mountain cottage. As the most expensive accommodation of our week's holiday, I had high hopes and was eagerly anticipating a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, I regret to inform you that the experience was anything but pleasant. Firstly, the cottage (no 8) was in a state of disrepair, with broken glass and a board of wood hastily hammered onto the front door. The interior was equally disappointing, with a dirty and dusty atmosphere that suggested that it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The cottage smelt old and felt cramped, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and cramped during our stay. Additionally, the bath towel provided was the size of a hand towel, and there was no bathmat or hand towels left for us to use. These small amenities are essential for a comfortable stay and their absence made our experience even more unpleasant. The walls were dirty with dust and grime, light switches were dirty, stains and dirt on radiators. Chipped crockery. Old, torn and ripped blinds. No door on the bedroom. Overall, I must say that the cottage was not worth the £150 per night that we paid. It was far from the charming and cozy mountain retreat that we had envisioned. The only positive aspect of our stay was that the cottage was warm and had hot water. I understand that issues can arise, but I hope that you will take our feedback seriously and take steps to improve the quality of your accommodations. I also hope that you will take action to address the problems we encountered.
