Recommend take uber or taxi to locale. The walk from Plaza Armas is approx 6 minutes but hilly and traffic both foot + car traffic is heavy. The hotel is an uphill climb as is all of the city. The doors open to a small court yard. To your left and right are schools. Just walk straight on and ring the door buzzer. They buzz the door open very promptly. If the court yard door is closed there is a door buzzer reachable from the sidewalk. Breakfast is made to order eggs, bread, good coffee + 3 types of juice. Owner + family are friendly + helpful. Room had a kettle + temperature control. Family speaks english. Enjoyed my stay.

Time 20min · Helpful and Friendly Owner: A major highlight was the owner. He was exceptionally helpful, offering great advice and guiding us on our tour plans. This local insight was invaluable and made our trip much smoother. · Good Daily Breakfast: The included breakfast was tasty and satisfying, providing a great start to the day. It's also the time when tea and coffee are served, so you can get your caffeine fix before heading out. · Clean and Tidy: Daily cleaning service is provided, and our room was always kept spotless. The hotel feels very well-maintained. · Convenient Currency: As noted, USD is widely accepted in the area at the market rate, which includes settling your bill at the hotel. This makes things very easy for international travelers. Things to Note: · No In-Room Tea/Coffee: Be aware that there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You'll need to wait for the breakfast service or pop out to one of the many nearby cafes if you want a drink outside of those hours.

Had two separate bookings with the hotel as I was going to Machu Picchu and staying overnight there. During my first day at this hotel in my first reservation, I was asked to pay for this second booking together. No receipt given but was assured that there will not be any misunderstanding. Was told to pack and leave my things at the reception and check out and re-check in. So not sure why I needed to pay for the second reservation upfront in my first booking (Maybe afraid that I would cancel it as I was really tempted to). As mentioned in my previous post, the amenities are severly lacking, cause of low water supply, the pipes and toilet filling up is very loud and the water flow from the tap is like the picture at night and it was trickling and dripping one of the early mornings when I had a tour. In short, i will not stay here again.

Ruby war besonders hilfreich und sehr freundlich und wollte das Beste für mich als Touristen in ihrem Land. Sie stellte Folgefragen zu meiner Erfahrung bei Machu Picchu nach Rückkehr von Machu Picchu Pueblo. Es war eine tolle spanische Praxis! Die Männer vorangestellten Mitarbeiter waren auch gentlemen bereit, zu helfen. Neben dem sehr Gastgeber-Demonor hat der Tourdienst auch meine Reise gerettet. Ich habe eine separate Stadttour mit einem anderen Unternehmen auf Trip.com reserviert, aber diese Tour ist nie passiert. Die Tourdienste von Santa Maria gab mir jedoch genau das, was ich von ihrem eigenen Tour Buchungsservice von Edith verwaltet wollte. So, Ruhe sicher, dass der Service auch zuverlässig ist. Besorgt über Online-Stadttouren online in Cusco. Keine Sorge in diesem Hotel, aber. Ich habe es auch für die Rainbow Mountain-Excursion verwendet. The hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the Machu Picchu train station and right on the side of the rails. The best thing is that it is also only 2-minutes away from the bus stop that takes visitors to the entrance of Machu Picchu so it is ideal for any early morning excursions. During the day and up until around 9pm there will be trains passing by every once in a while and can get loud, but otherwise there is not too much source of noise. Since Aguas Calientes is a tiny town, most of the restaurants, marketplaces, and cafes are within a 10 to 15-minute walking distance. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a great balcony view of the surrounding mountains. Receptionist Mary was extremely helpful through WhatsApp communications, even coming to the train station to pick up guests, and gave a lot of information about visiting Machu Picchu. Breakfast allowed for an early start to accommodate those having early morning entrance tickets, and it was a decent buffet of varied food and made-to-order eggs. They were also very generous to allow guests to stay and rest in the reception area after check-out time and keep bags in storage before taking a late afternoon train. All in all a great choice if you are planning to visit Machu Picchu

Willkommen ist nicht in Belmond-Stil: kein Champagner oder gute Schokolade. 4. Ein Tag fragten wir, das Zimmer vor 12, sie taten, wir kamen und ich war sicher, dass wir allein im Zimmer sind. Als ich nackt war, sah ich einen Gartener in unserer privaten Terrasse. Er sah mich auch. Wie ist es möglich, dass er unsere Terrasse eintrat, als ich im Zimmer war????? Mit keinem Klopfen und Schlag???? 5. Alpacas Futter ist auch Müll: Alle Menschen aus dem Hotel kommen, Sie werden nie schöne Bilder wie auf Instagram. Warum nicht durch Bestellung? Wir hatten viele Erfahrungen mit Tieren in verschiedenen Ländern , das ist das schlimmste. 6. Die Dinge sind nicht gut ausgebildet, die Kommunikation ist super künstlich. Der Ort ist schön, aber das ist es. Schlimmste Belmond, zu dem wir gewesen sind. Führen Sie das Monasterio Belmond über gute Erfahrung und Top-Noch-Service.

Auch nachdem ich zwei weitere hochpreisige Belmond-Eigenschaften und die JW Marriott versucht habe, glaube ich nachdrücklich, dass dies die ultimative Wahl ist. Die Schönheit dieses Hotels ist über die Worte hinaus. Die eleganten öffentlichen Räume und ruhige Gärten schaffen eine Atmosphäre der zeitlosen Ruhe. Die klassischen, historischen Wände schütteln Geschichten der Vergangenheit, während die schlauen goldenen Kapelle ein atemberaubendes Gefühl der Großheit hinzufügt. Jedes Detail ist ein Meisterwerk. Aber was wirklich Belmond Monasterio absetzt ist sein Service. Das Personal ist warm, professionell und wirklich betreuend. Ihre Service-Einstellung ist unvermeidlichVielleicht das Beste in Südamerika. Ein gutes Beispiel: Als ich meine Kreditkarte verloren habe, fanden sie sie und gaben sie schnell zurück. Im Vergleich zum Los Cabos Waldorf (die ich aufgrund seiner Preisgestaltung erwähne), ist dieser Hotelservice auf einem anderen Niveau unendlich persönlicher, gedankenvoll und Herzensgefühl. Ich würde meinen Butler gerne eine besondere Anerkennung geben, obwohl ich leider seinen Namen vergessen habe. Kurz gesagt, ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen. Let me start with the positives, stylish design, exactly like the pics advertised, from entering the hotel to the resting area to the balcony to the room, all very nice. But you need to be ready for the stairs if you not getting here by car, going out and coming back from the square, especially if you have luggage or backpack, everyone arriving here were out of breath. The bathroom has odor coming up from the pipe, which is normal for house this old, if you are okay with it. I was in room 201, sound proof does not exist, can hear car passing, dog barking, guests coming back from partying at night, tourists cheering & leaving hotel for trips at 3:30am, didn’t get much sleep. Most disappointing thing was hot water, I arrived in the afternoon climbing up the stairs, was hoping to have a quick shower before heading out for dinner, stood in the bathroom waited 5mins for hot water, was told be staff hot water was out they are trying to fix, came back after drinks, still no hot water, was very late so didn’t call staff, tried to have a shower before check out at 7am, hot water was still not available after another good 5mins standing in the shower… sigh
