"Das Artinka Hotel, ein renoviertes Kolonialhaus, bietet Boutique-Ambiente und liegt versteckt in den weitläufigen Gassen der Plaza de Armas. Während die Bars und Tanzflächen in den Gassen nachts unglaublich laut sein können, sinkt der Lärmpegel deutlich, sobald man das Hotel betritt. Ich verbrachte vier Nächte dort und teilte meine Zeit auf zwei Aufenthalte auf. Einmal hatte ich ein Zimmer im dritten Stock, das ziemlich laut war. Ein anderes Mal übernachtete ich in einem Zimmer im zweiten Stock und war überraschenderweise völlig still!
Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, die Zimmer sind sauber und der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Ich war rundum zufrieden."

GGastnutzerThis was an absolutely FANTASTIC stay experience and I recommend it to all travellers to Cusco.
The house is conveniently located in the historic centre of Cusco and you can easily access restaurants, cafes, main attractions within a few minutes of walking. The Wanchaq train station is at most a 20-minute walk on the main street of Cusco, thereby making it very safe and easy at any time of the day. Taking an Uber, it is around 20 to 30-minute drive to the Cusco Airport, costing less than PEN 20.
The main gates are locked at night for safety, though all staff will make sure that front desk service is still available 24 hours for anyone needing to exit or enter the premises. Communications is conveniently maintained through WhatsApp and made very easy.
There is some street noise in the rooms at night including music playing from nearby shops, but that seems to be more prevalent on the weekends.
The room and bathroom are well-maintained and have all the necessary amenities, including welcoming packets of coca tea. There is an electric heater in the room for nights with lower temperatures.
Breakfast is made-to-order for every item, and it feels like a private restaurant experience. Eggs cooked any way are of top quality; juices are freshly squeezed; breads are toasted warm; coffee and tea are made fresh and refilled at a moment's notice; and the fruit salads are filled with copious amount of fresh fruit.
Service is all top notch: homemade breakfast every morning, housekeeping at appropriate times, 24-hour service for late-night arrivals or early-morning departures, and answering questions for travellers - the hosts are absolutely warm and welcoming in every way possible. They also generously kept my large luggage in storage while I travelled to Machu Picchu for two days (coming back to stay again after), which made my trip very convenient.
Again, I would recommend this to all travellers to Cusco, especially considering that the value for money is amazing.

My stay at Hotel Pakarina was a very positive experience. It served as an excellent and comfortable base for visiting Machu Picchu.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of my stay:
· Excellent Location: The hotel is perfectly located. You are within easy walking distance of the bus station to Machu Picchu, the train station, and the central market.
Most importantly, there are ample food options and restaurants available right near the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for meals.
How to Reach from Airport
Cusco Airport to ollantaytambo train station. Taxi charges 35 USD Time: 1.5hrs
ollantaytambo train station to Machu Picchu/ aguas calientes train station: 135 USD return tickets, per person. Time: 1.45hrs
Aguas calientes train station to hotel is on walk of 500 meters.
Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu Bus available: 24 USD return ticket. Time 20min
· Helpful and Friendly Owner: A major highlight was the owner. He was exceptionally helpful, offering great advice and guiding us on our tour plans. This local insight was invaluable and made our trip much smoother.
· Good Daily Breakfast: The included breakfast was tasty and satisfying, providing a great start to the day. It's also the time when tea and coffee are served, so you can get your caffeine fix before heading out.
· Clean and Tidy: Daily cleaning service is provided, and our room was always kept spotless. The hotel feels very well-maintained.
· Convenient Currency: As noted, USD is widely accepted in the area at the market rate, which includes settling your bill at the hotel. This makes things very easy for international travelers.
Things to Note:
· No In-Room Tea/Coffee: Be aware that there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You'll need to wait for the breakfast service or pop out to one of the many nearby cafes if you want a drink outside of those hours.

GGomezDas Hotel Santa Maria war das beste Hotel während meines Aufenthalts in Peru, das nicht nur Cusco, sondern auch Lima und Aguas Calientes umfasste. Das Bett war komfortabel, das Wifi funktionierte gut und zuverlässig, und die Serie war in mehreren Möglichkeiten ausgezeichnet. Als ich zum Beispiel um 10 Uhr nach dem Fliegen 28 Stunden einen Flughafen pickup beantragte, nahm mich ein freundlicher Fahrer auf. Ruby war besonders hilfreich und sehr freundlich und wollte das Beste für mich als Touristen in ihrem Land. Sie stellte Folgefragen zu meiner Erfahrung bei Machu Picchu nach Rückkehr von Machu Picchu Pueblo. Es war eine tolle spanische Praxis! Die Männer vorangestellten Mitarbeiter waren auch gentlemen bereit, zu helfen. Neben dem sehr Gastgeber-Demonor hat der Tourdienst auch meine Reise gerettet. Ich habe eine separate Stadttour mit einem anderen Unternehmen auf Trip.com reserviert, aber diese Tour ist nie passiert. Die Tourdienste von Santa Maria gab mir jedoch genau das, was ich von ihrem eigenen Tour Buchungsservice von Edith verwaltet wollte. So, Ruhe sicher, dass der Service auch zuverlässig ist. Besorgt über Online-Stadttouren online in Cusco. Keine Sorge in diesem Hotel, aber. Ich habe es auch für die Rainbow Mountain-Excursion verwendet. Mit Hotel Santa Maria hätte ich nicht wirklich Cusco, Peru erlebt! Vielen Dank für die Hilfe, die ich mir bei der Traumreise in vollem Umfang realisiert habe!

GGastnutzerThe hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the Machu Picchu train station and right on the side of the rails. The best thing is that it is also only 2-minutes away from the bus stop that takes visitors to the entrance of Machu Picchu so it is ideal for any early morning excursions. During the day and up until around 9pm there will be trains passing by every once in a while and can get loud, but otherwise there is not too much source of noise. Since Aguas Calientes is a tiny town, most of the restaurants, marketplaces, and cafes are within a 10 to 15-minute walking distance.
The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a great balcony view of the surrounding mountains.
Receptionist Mary was extremely helpful through WhatsApp communications, even coming to the train station to pick up guests, and gave a lot of information about visiting Machu Picchu. Breakfast allowed for an early start to accommodate those having early morning entrance tickets, and it was a decent buffet of varied food and made-to-order eggs. They were also very generous to allow guests to stay and rest in the reception area after check-out time and keep bags in storage before taking a late afternoon train. All in all a great choice if you are planning to visit Machu Picchu

2. Auf einem Frühstücksbett Bringt immer Obst und nach 5 Minuten fragen, ob ich sie benötigen. Warum auf der Erde sollte ich in 5 Minuten Obst essen? Und warum brauchen Sie es? Qualität und Vielfalt des Frühstücks ist nicht schön alle Tage hatten wir keine frische Blütenblüten. In meinem Heimatland habe ich Blumenblüten aus Peru und es ist frisch. Wie ist es möglich?
3. Willkommen ist nicht in Belmond-Stil: kein Champagner oder gute Schokolade.
4. Ein Tag fragten wir, das Zimmer vor 12, sie taten, wir kamen und ich war sicher, dass wir allein im Zimmer sind. Als ich nackt war, sah ich einen Gartener in unserer privaten Terrasse. Er sah mich auch. Wie ist es möglich, dass er unsere Terrasse eintrat, als ich im Zimmer war????? Mit keinem Klopfen und Schlag????
5. Alpacas Futter ist auch Müll: Alle Menschen aus dem Hotel kommen, Sie werden nie schöne Bilder wie auf Instagram. Warum nicht durch Bestellung? Wir hatten viele Erfahrungen mit Tieren in verschiedenen Ländern , das ist das schlimmste.
6. Die Dinge sind nicht gut ausgebildet, die Kommunikation ist super künstlich.
Der Ort ist schön, aber das ist es. Schlimmste Belmond, zu dem wir gewesen sind. Führen Sie das Monasterio Belmond über gute Erfahrung und Top-Noch-Service.

Ohne Übertreibung ist Belmond Monasterio das beste Hotel in Cusco. Auch nachdem ich zwei weitere hochpreisige Belmond-Eigenschaften und die JW Marriott versucht habe, glaube ich nachdrücklich, dass dies die ultimative Wahl ist.
Die Schönheit dieses Hotels ist über die Worte hinaus. Die eleganten öffentlichen Räume und ruhige Gärten schaffen eine Atmosphäre der zeitlosen Ruhe. Die klassischen, historischen Wände schütteln Geschichten der Vergangenheit, während die schlauen goldenen Kapelle ein atemberaubendes Gefühl der Großheit hinzufügt. Jedes Detail ist ein Meisterwerk.
Aber was wirklich Belmond Monasterio absetzt ist sein Service. Das Personal ist warm, professionell und wirklich betreuend. Ihre Service-Einstellung ist unvermeidlichVielleicht das Beste in Südamerika. Ein gutes Beispiel: Als ich meine Kreditkarte verloren habe, fanden sie sie und gaben sie schnell zurück. Im Vergleich zum Los Cabos Waldorf (die ich aufgrund seiner Preisgestaltung erwähne), ist dieser Hotelservice auf einem anderen Niveau unendlich persönlicher, gedankenvoll und Herzensgefühl.
Ich würde meinen Butler gerne eine besondere Anerkennung geben, obwohl ich leider seinen Namen vergessen habe.
Kurz gesagt, ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen. Endlos Liebe für Belmond Monasterio.

KK TravelsLet me start with the positives, stylish design, exactly like the pics advertised, from entering the hotel to the resting area to the balcony to the room, all very nice.
But you need to be ready for the stairs if you not getting here by car, going out and coming back from the square, especially if you have luggage or backpack, everyone arriving here were out of breath.
The bathroom has odor coming up from the pipe, which is normal for house this old, if you are okay with it.
I was in room 201, sound proof does not exist, can hear car passing, dog barking, guests coming back from partying at night, tourists cheering & leaving hotel for trips at 3:30am, didn’t get much sleep.
Most disappointing thing was hot water, I arrived in the afternoon climbing up the stairs, was hoping to have a quick shower before heading out for dinner, stood in the bathroom waited 5mins for hot water, was told be staff hot water was out they are trying to fix, came back after drinks, still no hot water, was very late so didn’t call staff, tried to have a shower before check out at 7am, hot water was still not available after another good 5mins standing in the shower… sigh
