Sol Miranda Hotel

Sol Miranda was the perfect place for us to stay while we were in Ollantaytambo. Cesar and the other people running the hotel were very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast was perfect every morning. Fresh juice, coffee, fresh made to order eggs, fruit, cereal, bread, marmelade. The rooms are large and have a perfect view of the archeological park. Hot water! The location of the hotel could not have been more perfect: in between the plaza and the archeological site. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Wonderful experience! Very clean and attractive with wonderful and personable owner and staff. They went out of their way to make our stay amazing. Conveniently located, walk to everything. My window view was gorgeous view of ruins. Breakfast was included and delicious with made to order eggs. Highly recommend!!!!

My partner and I booked for 1 night, arriving around 11 am after a long drive. Parking is a little drive away, A member of staff, speaking no English ( after lots of google translate) realised we had booked executive room. £102. He took a cleaning lady up to the room, us waiting behind him at the last flight of the stairs. He seemed to peek in the room expecting it to maybe not be ready? Anyway he let us leave our things and we went wandering till the host came back. Arrived back at hotel at 1pm, host lady checked us in and we went to the toon. View was lovely, maybe windows needed a little clean. Room had no carpet and floorboards which I I’m not sure had been dusted after carpet had been torn up. Beds very comfortable and bedding was spotless. Bathroom was worn and at times during the night there was no running water, this seems the normal apparently. Owner was so nice, as all the staff we encountered and I think this area has a captive audience. I’m so please lad we booked the larger room though, just for the space. The next morning we left around 5sm, the young girl working there gave us a little pack lunch, which was very kind of her. The hotel could be beautiful but I think the standard of room is acceptable in that part of peru, maybe because of location, views . Thanks to the staff on a levels for a comfortable bed and nice sleep.

Stayed there in March 2022 for our Machu Picchu trip. Great location - across from a good restaurant, very friendly owner & staff. Comfortable room. All in a very neat town that we really liked. Had a very relaxed stay. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

We stayed here, it is one of the best hotels in the Sacred Valley. I highly recommend it. The location is perfect, close to everything. I really like their breakfast and the staff is very friendly. It is 8 minutes from the train station and 1 minute from the main square, its rooms are comfortable.

Booked this hotel based on the positive reviews. A 'standard room' because we were only staying for one night and didn't need a view on the Inca ruins. Little did we know the standard room was... terrible. Below ground, hardly any daylight. The smell of mold in the rooms and visible mold in the bathroom (which they partially tried to cover by paint). Insects, spiders everywhere. The towels we got had brown and yellow stains on them and when I asked for new ones they were stained as well. I used my own little travel towel instead. Hairs from strangers in the room. Bathroom was not clean. Outlets didn't work, could not charge my phone. Woke up constantly from other guests walking/stomping on our 'roof'. Really disappointing and not at all what we expected. We asked to change rooms, and were willing to pay extra for that, but there were no rooms available. So go for the upstairs rooms or rather: don't stay here at all.

If you’re staying in Ollantaytambo, stay at Sol Miranda hotel. The location is perfectly convenient to the PeruRail (for access to Machu Picchu), the local markets, as well as the Ollantaytambo ruins. Not only is the location 10/10, the family that runs the hotel could not be more accommodating or kind. They arranged for our taxi both to and from Cusco, they upgraded us to a room with a gorgeous view of the ruins, and they provided us bagged breakfasts every morning. They also have a wonderful little shop with beautiful handmade garments, and we couldn’t help ourselves but snatch two of them up. I highly recommend to any travelers exploring the Inca Trail, they really do make you feel like family!

The rooms are big and very comfortable w an amazing view to the archeological site. The bathrooms comfortable w nice hot water. The food at the restaurant is delicious. And finally the customer service is superb. Thank you guys for such a great stay!
