Arrived in the early hours of the after ferry cancelled and then delays. I notified reception of the change and Tomas informed me that the reception was 24 hours and I would be looked after and he would check me in himself. Arrived at 04.30 and met by night receptionist who took me to s room and logged my car registration. The room was ok but for some reason the wind noise was loud. Next morning I explained to reception who moved me to a well appointed quiet room without any fuss or further comment. The remaining days of my stay were during the huge storm which hit the coast, During my stay the hotel felt safe and secure, and the staff were polite, helpful and pleasant at all times. The hotel may appear as 3* but the rooms and customer service was 5*. Highly recommended hotel based on my personal experience. A final acknowledgment to Ann Mary and Louise who contributed to lovely stay here.

Großes Hotel 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof und dann nur 45 bis zum Zentrum von Dublin

Gute Lage vom Flughafen, konnte auch eine spät einchecken, was schön war. Das Zimmer hat alles, was Sie brauchen. Nichts Besonderes, aber das Bett war komfortabel und die Dusche war warm. Gutes Hotel für Preis und Personal war auch schön.

Just stayed for one night. Arrived around 13.00 and staff took care of our bags as too early to check in. Went to the hotel bar to get a spot of lunch. Food was excellent and reasonable with respect to prices. Portion size was huge !! Staff excellent … we ended up trying most of their cocktails . Bedroom itself clean and functional.

The Bonnington is usually my go to hotel in dublin, however the stay before this and now this stay has made me look for somewhere else in future. The staff as always were exceptional, however our room was incorrectly rang my reception at 5am, (and on a previous stay we were awoken in the middle of the night by a false fire alarm, so a full nights sleep is not a guarantee). What was the most frustrating is the general disrepair of the hotel. The rooms are fairly small so for the higher price point you are really paying for the facilities. The smaller issues like furniture being old and leather chairs peeling and flaking were not a big problem, just a mild annoyance. However the bath/shower leaking everywhere when used from the base of the tub and leaving the floor soaking wet, the steam room being out of order and us not being informed of this when or even after booking, and the crowdedness and of the pool and other facilities because of non hotel users with memberships to the leisure clubs taking up the whole hot tub and sauna at once in personal groups was frustrating. The room was also extremely hot, and the AC very very loud while not actually doing much to cool the room. There was nothing particularly stay ruining about it however if you’re paying over 200 euro for one night somewhere you would expect things to be at least average. The main redemption was the friendliness and kindness of the staff.

Sehr gutes Hotel. Das Zimmer war ruhig und geräumig. Die Rezeptionisten waren sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Die Lage ist hervorragend, sehr nah am Bahnhof und am Phoenix Park.

Ich kann dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Selbst nach dem Auschecken, wenn Sie die Toilette benutzen müssen, genügt ein kurzer Hinweis an die Mitarbeiter, und sie öffnen Ihnen die Tür. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls hervorragend, direkt im Stadtzentrum. Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle befindet sich direkt vor dem Hotel und eine Bushaltestelle ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Obwohl das Hotel nicht im absoluten Zentrum liegt, ist es dennoch ruhig und die Verkehrsanbindung ist sehr praktisch. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber und stilvoll mit großen Fenstern eingerichtet. Die Einzelbetten sind ebenfalls sehr groß und komfortabel. Eine Gepäckaufbewahrung ist vorhanden. Die Lounge im ersten Stock lädt zum Essen und Arbeiten am Computer ein. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen; es bietet ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel, das ich dieses Mal in Dublin gebucht habe. Die Umgebung und die Transportmöglichkeiten sind sehr gut. Der Service an der Hotelrezeption ist sehr gut und es ist sehr praktisch, einkaufen zu gehen Familiensuite. Sie verfügt über alle Einrichtungen und Geräte und Sie können Ihre eigenen Mahlzeiten zubereiten. Der Aktivitätsbereich in der Küche ist sehr gut.

Das Hostel ist gut gelegen, ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß bis O'Connel street. Es gibt ein sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück mit Cornflakes, Obst, Toast, verschiedenen Aufstrichen und Säften. Das Bad hätte etwas sauberer sein können, war aber noch okay. Da das Bad-Licht automatisch an und ausging, war es abends etwas nervig, weil man den Lüfter im Zimmer noch hören konnte. In der dritten Nacht (ca. ab 1:00) gab es über ca. 1 Stunde ständig (falschen) Feueralarm, was dafür sorgte, dass alle Bewohner wach wurden. Leider gab es von Seiten des Hostels keine Erklärung oder Anweisung. Wäre es ein richtiger Notfall gewesen, hätte es wohl ernste Konsequenzen geben können. Leider gab es dann am nächsten Tag auch keine weiteren Erklärungen oder Entschuldigen, was ich sehr unpassend fand.
