We arrived into Chester a good few hours before check in so wanted to ask if we could store our luggage, however our room was ready so we were told we could check in right away! (Great start!) We were also upgraded at a discount price (nice little touch there) The exterior is stunning, the revolving door (possibly my favourite part of the hotel haha) and grand staircase were just stunning! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I had cut my finger earlier in the day, it kept reopening and one of the staff was very helpful in getting me wipes and extra plasters as I’d ran out. The room itself was gorgeous!! We had a view of the back gardens which looked so nice with the autumn leaves! The bed was large and comfortable! I would love to know where to buy the pillows!! I HATE climbing stairs but they were just too grand not too. We didn’t eat in the hotel but we did have a drink in the bar whilst we waited for a friend and it was lovely. The food looked delicious. The one and only issue I had was the strange humming/buzz at night which made it difficult to drift off to sleep. However, I did bring earplugs and should have used them so that’s on me haha! Would definitely stay here again if/when we visit Chester!

I had a good stay with my girlfriend at The Tytherington. The only thing we were unhappy with was the food. It took about 1 hour to receive our food, and we were also told different information about the Kitchen closure time. Likely, we could give our order on time, but someone who was served after us was not able to. It seemed that on the day we visited, the kitchen staff was either short-staffed or had other issues. The staff behind the counter looked inexperienced, with only 1 or 2 who knew what to do, though they had too much to do already and couldn't assist. The view from their garden was great, over their golf pitch.

I recently stayed at the Steam Mill Hotel in Chester and had a wonderful experience. The hotel’s industrial-chic design and prime location near the city center made exploring Chester easy and enjoyable. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and featured modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any queries. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, I highly recommend Steam Mill Hotel for anyone visiting Chester—great service, stylish atmosphere, and excellent value for money.

I have been to chester loads of time. Love the place. Also when i visited chester i love to go to chester oaks designer outlet. This is the first time i have stayed at the moxy hotel . The location is in a great location for the train station and it right in the canal . My friend and i stayed in room 257 . The room was very modern and clean . I would definitely stay at the moxy hotel next time i am in chester

The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The local is not too far from city centre. We walked to the city centre less than5mins, walk to city wall from the hotel about 15mins but if you walk faster it takes 7-8mins. The breakfast is great.

I expected a more hospitable reception, especially given the hotel’s reputation. **Room Quality:** On a positive note, the room was clean and well-appointed, featuring a lovely spacious bathroom that included a plush robe and complimentary toiletries such as shampoo and soap. I appreciated the mini bar, which had complimentary water, adding a nice touch to my stay. **Room Service:** One downside was the room service hours, which ended at 10 PM. I arrived at 8:15 PM and was informed of this limitation, which felt a bit early for a hotel of this caliber. It would have been nice to have more flexible dining options during my stay. **Dining:** The hotel itself is stunning, and the grounds are a joy to explore. I had breakfast at the brasserie restaurant, where the attentive staff made a significant difference. Das Hotel Oddfellows war einfach, aber es hätte zuvor die genaue Adresse der Wohnung geholfen, so dass wir einfacher parkieren konnten. Es gibt einen Parkplatz im Apartment, aber es ist ein enger Eingang! Apartment 5 war oben und sehr geräumig. Die Lounge/Küche/Dinner war gut eingerichtet und der Tee und der Kaffee verfügbar war sehr willkommen. Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer waren groß, komfortabel und sauber (aber mit wenigen Hügeln für Handtücher oder Coats konnten). Es gibt sogar ein Waschraum. Decof ist wunderschön und die Lage ist großartig - nur von den Hauptstraßen. Fabelhafter Ort zum Aufenthalt.

The staff here are all lovely, super helpful and accommodating. Hotel guests can use the spa facilities for free during their stay, something we took full advantage of. It’s a nice hotel to stay in if you’re in the area. Ideally there’d be a little more attention to upkeep- there are cobwebs in some harder to reach spots, we kept being given too few towels, the heater didn’t work, the shower was stiff and hard to turn on, and the batteries in the tv remote needed replacing. All small things that the staff were happy to fix when notified though.

Brilliant location, lovely old building. The fold out beds for kids are uncomfortable (worse than the ones at travel lodge or premmier inn). Don't bother with breakfast! Kept running out of things and didn't always replace them. Bacon inedible, sausages cheap, no nlack pudding even though it's on the menu and small portions. I would stay again but wouldn't add breakfast
