This boutique hotel is conveniently located in the old City. The hotel staff are very friendly and even fetched us from the train station. Hotel room is spacious and comfortable. I accidentally dropped a ring in the lobby and the staff picked up and returned to me. Very pleasant staff and highly recommended.

Dies ist ein gemütliches Hotel, das aus einer Gelehrtenakademie umgebaut wurde. Man fühlt sich wirklich, als wäre man in der Zeit zurückgereist oder auf das Set eines chinesischen Theaters getreten. Das Personal ist wunderbar, sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und nett. Es erklärt uns, wie wir uns in ihrer kleinen Stadt zurechtfinden und hilft uns, Karten für eine Vorstellung zu buchen. Als meine Zahlungs-App beim Check-in nicht funktionierte, konnten wir später am Tag mit Kreditkarte zahlen. Das Frühstück ist lecker und sättigend, und man kann um Nachschub bitten. Ich habe hier am besten geschlafen, da es in einer ruhigen Straße liegt, etwas abseits der Hauptstraße, und die Zimmer waren sauber und geräumig, mit bequemen Betten; alles funktionierte und es wurde auf Details geachtet, wie einen Snackkorb und Wasserflaschen im Kühlschrank. Und das Auto war da, um uns vom Bahnhof Pingyao Gu Cheng abzuholen und auch wieder dorthin zurückzubringen. Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt.

It was just an absolutely amazing experience from the very beginning and until the very end of our stay, not even just in the hotel, but in the city of Pingyao itself in general. Me and my friend are traveling very light and without guides, and in Pingyao we had only one day: from evening to evening of the next day. Huge huge thanks to everyone who made this day unforgettable and ultimately comfortable for tired us: Alice, Helen, Fenny, Hana, and all others who was there for us. The hotel service is simply excellent: as soon as they learned about our late arrival, they immediately offered to meet us at the railway station, which was absolutely the sweetest thing. They brought us to the city gate, met us there, and walked us to the hotel. There they gave us a map, on which they explained in great detail where everything is, what is worth paying attention to, how it is better to build the route, and what opening hours different sights have. They also helped us organize a private transfer to Shaolin Temple the next morning. It was just perfect: we got there in 15 minutes instead of one and a half hours by foot, and after our walk in the temple they met us and brought us back. Also on the evening of arrival they helped us immediately buy the ticket for visiting all attractions of the city, valid for three days. And also they advised us where to eat, and gave us a hotel discount in both places. We did not regret it even once, the food was amazingly delicious in both places! The hotel itself is just wonderful: it really looks exactly like in the photos. You want to photograph every corner and record how the sparrows are chirping on the roof, and how two wonderful cats are meowing. The room also matches and even exceeds expectations. A huge kang bed, very comfortable. Excellent shower with everything needed. Breakfast is included in the stay: the traditional Chinese one was very tasty! Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat the egg, it was freshly boiled and still hot, but we were hurrying to Shaolin Temple by opening time. Also the hotel has a laundry service, and special thanks for that too! Washing and drying were very fast, and we got our nicely smelling clothes back already after four hours, which was critical for us, because we were leaving the same day. We felt like we really were honored guests, and we really appreciated it, even if only for one day.

Das Überraschendste an meiner Reise nach Datong ist, dass das B&B in einer wohlhabenden Gegend der antiken Stadt liegt. Man kann die Tür öffnen und in die geschäftige Stadt eintreten, aber die Tür schließen und sich ruhig und wohl fühlen. Das B&B liegt weniger als 5 Gehminuten von den im Internet bekannten Restaurants 369 Coarse Rice Restaurant, Long Juxiang und Shunyi Liangfen entfernt. Nach dem Anstehen können Sie bequem zu Fuß dorthin gehen. Der Service des Besitzers ist aufmerksam, das B&B ist elegant eingerichtet und die Einrichtungen im Inneren sind super neu, der gleiche Standard wie ein 5-Sterne-Hotel. Die Bettwäsche ist sauber und bequem und meine Tochter möchte nicht gehen. Ich habe es meinen Kollegen empfohlen und werde dieses Fünf-Sterne-B&B wählen, wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Datong komme!

Extremely happy with my stay here! Room is very spacious and clean, and I was within walking distance to most of the attractions and restaurants. The staff here are very friendly and they always went out of their way to make my experience in Datong memorable! I'm especially grateful because the manager showed me how to order food from local restaurants using my phone and get it delivered straight to my room! 10/10!!

一切都是最好的安排，原本網上訂的不是她家的親子房，但是原來古城那邊好多親子房是負一層，大家訂的時候一定要仔細看，然後負一層沒有窗户，我家爸爸對這點是不太能接受的，於是我們到了古城晚上10點多還在尋覓。還好我們算是趕上旺季前的一波，否則如夢這家根本訂不到。選了好多家都不滿意，直到看到如夢，竟然有一件親子房，管家妹妹人非常好，讓我們先看了房間，我一進門就被香香的，涼快的房間吸引了，他們家用的是實木傢俱，現代簡約裝修，智能家電，最貼心的是她們的熱水壺還是一次性內膽，減少現在大家住宿不敢用酒店熱水壺的困擾。真的那那都稱心。必須好評！下次如果再去大同，一定還選她家！ 還有出行也非常方便。

The service provided by the staff was first class. The breakfast variety was fabulous as well. There is a night street side food market opposite the hotel which provides interesting food and snacks options. There was also a big park opposite the hotel which provides a good running route.

This hotel has a big problem: air-conditioning AC works very poorly. Sometimes it works well for a couple of hours and then it stops. We were there in May and it was very difficult to sleep. We would set the temperature to 18° but the air conditioning system would say that the temperature in the room was 27-28 degrees. If not for inability to sleep as a result of air-conditioning system not working properly, this is a good hotel. The staff are always trying to help, it is quiet, the breakfast is actually very good. The breakfast was unusually good: huge selection, exotic and interesting tasty dishes, I will miss it. The location is convenient if you plan to visit the ancient city and to the museum.

Hygiene: Oberflächlich betrachtet scheint die Hygiene in Ordnung zu sein. Am nächsten Tag wurde mein Mitbewohner von mehreren großen Bissen am Hals und an den Knöcheln gebissen. Ich dachte, es wären Mücken, aber sie jucken und schmerzen immer noch. Erfahrungsgemäß sollten sie das tun von Flöhen gebissen werden. Ich hoffe, dass das B&B das ernst nimmt. Umgebung: Die Lage in der antiken Stadt ist sehr gut, die Tür ist unauffällig und das Frühstück ist sauber und lecker. Service: Nachdem ich WeChat in der Anfangsphase hinzugefügt hatte, kam die Antwort nicht sehr zeitnah. Später, als ich im B&B ankam, konnte ich meine Zweifel zerstreuen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr begeistert und forderte rechtzeitig ein Taxi. Im Moment mache ich mir nur Sorgen, Flöhe nach Hause zu bringen. 😰
