This was my first time staying at a Mercure hotel and I was not disappointed. This new hotel opened in April. I usually stay at less expensive hotels but I was attending a festival at Luogang Central Park and wanted to find accommodations nearby. It was a short walk from the hotel door to the festival gates. I could see the stages from my room. The service at the hotel was the best that I have ever encountered. I was immediately greeted by the guest services agents. Sally, the front office manager, assisted me as I checked in. She speaks excellent English. Sally assisted me by entering the hotel address and room number into *******. The food was delivered to my room by robot. Sally and the staff at the front desk made sure that everything about my stay was as perfect as it could be. On day two, I ordered ******* again. The food never arrived. As I do not know any Chinese, Sally helped me by talking to the vendor and delivery driver. She spent two days (even after I had checked out and gone home) to make sure that I got a full refund from *******. For some reason, I could not rent a phone charger from the machine in the lobby (that is a problem on my end not a problem with the machine). One of the guest services agents on duty rented the charger for me and I paid her when I returned the charger. My room was beautiful! I had a corner room with windows on two sides. I enjoyed a long soak in the tub each day. The toilet came with a remote control that I translated. There were a few minor things about the room that could be improved. 1. The refrigerator was stocked with free beverages. However, there were no sugar free sodas. The water bottles are smaller than what I am used to and there were only two bottles of regular drinking water in the room. The maid and front desk were happy to supply me with more when asked. 2. The telephone sits on the bedside table that is in the far corner of the room. You have to walk around the bed to reach it. The phone would be more accessible on the side of the bed closer to the sitting area. I don't usually use the hotel phone but you do get a call when the robot comes to your door. 3. To open and close the curtains, you press the button next to the bed. The corner room has large windows on both walls. There is no way to only open the curtain on one side of the room. The morning sun was too strong from one window so I used a chair to prop open the curtains on the other window. 4. There is a lack of foreign programming on the television. Other hotel chains that I use have a free English movie station like HBO or Cine-Max. I travel with a USB stick that has some movies saved on it in case the hotel does not offer such programming. However, the original TV remote is not supplied in the room and there is no way to change the TV input from their satellite box to the USB port. I did not have my laptop with me. I inquired with Sally at the front desk but there was nothing that she could do. There was an option to order pay per view movies. 5. The next problem is my error. I put the paper do not disturb sign on the door. I did not realize that there was also a button on the light switch that turns on a green light outside of the door when you want the room cleaned. I accidentally turned on the light. The maid walked in on me without knocking first. She was very kind and apologetic. I did not use all hotel amenities. I did enjoy the wine, coffee, and snacks in the front lobby. I also ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each day. There was a nice variety on the breakfast buffet that changed daily. I found the laundry room to be clean and comfortable with a small sitting area. It is located near the fitness room and restaurant. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. The small issues that I mentioned above are just minor inconveniences and nothing that can't be corrected or worked around. Based on my stay here, I would also try other Mercure hotels when traveling.

Vor dem Hotel befindet sich der malerische Ort: Herringbone Waterfall. Malerisch. 5. Zum Service gibt es nichts zu sagen. Das Frühstück wird aufs Zimmer gebracht und das Abendessen umfasst vier Gerichte, eine Suppe, Getränke und Desserts. 6. Der Qihua Club ist ein Schatz-Teehaus. Der Teekünstler der kleinen Schwester macht Tee und stellt die Teekultur vor. Elegant und einzigartig, Sie können Tee trinken und dabei dem Rauschen des Wassers lauschen. Selbst der regnerische Berg Huangshan hat einen einzigartigen Geschmack und die Menschen sind sofort still. 7. Huangshan Maojian-, Houkui- und Qimei-Tee werden im Zimmer bereitgestellt. Teeliebhaber müssen ihren eigenen Tee nicht mitbringen, was sehr rücksichtsvoll ist. Täglich werden Obst und zwei Flaschen Sodawasser geliefert, die Marke ist das berühmte Perrier-Wasser. Toilettenartikel: Lafite-Vorhang. Nach dem Auschecken schenkten sie mir aufmerksam ein Souvenir, was wirklich aufmerksam war. The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with a layout that worked perfectly for a family stay. Unlike many homestays that feel cramped, this room had plenty of space to relax, unpack, and truly rest. The bedding was clean and soft, and the overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, allowing us to sleep extremely well. Housekeeping standards were excellent — everything felt carefully maintained and spotlessly clean. One of the highlights of our stay was the afternoon tea, which was freely available and not limited or rushed. This wasn’t just a symbolic offering; it was something you could genuinely enjoy at your own pace. Sitting down in such a peaceful environment with tea and snacks after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. What impressed us most was the overall sense of being well taken care of. This is not a place where service is performative or scripted — it feels sincere and consistent. From the communication, to the comfort of the room, to the little details like afternoon tea and thoughtful guidance, everything worked together to create a genuinely memorable stay. Huangshan ist mir zugleich vertraut und fremd. Ich habe dort viele Frühlingsfeste verbracht, bevor ich zehn war, doch fast zwanzig Jahre lang war ich nicht mehr dort gewesen. Vor zwei Jahren entdeckte ich die Lion Cliff Lodge, und schließlich, als meine Eltern vorschlugen, zum Neujahrsfest wieder auf den Berg zu fahren, kamen wir hierher. Die Lodge erfüllte alle meine Erwartungen: ruhig und abgeschieden, warm und doch zurückhaltend. Hier konnte ich im Morgengrauen 300 Meter den Bergpfad hinauflaufen, um den Affen, der das Meer beobachtet, zu sehen und den Sonnenaufgang über Huangshan zu genießen – einen Sonnenaufgang, an den ich mich aus meiner Kindheit erinnerte –, während der Berg menschenleer war. Ich konnte auch den Menschenmassen entfliehen, auf der Terrasse sitzen, die Sonne genießen und die gelegentlich vorbeifahrenden Seilbahnen zählen. Regen, Sonnenaufgang, Wolkenmeer, nebelverhangene Kiefern – die vier Tage, die ich hier in Huangshan verbrachte, verdichteten seine Schönheit und Erhabenheit für mich, während Yunji meine Erinnerungen an den Aufenthalt und das Essen in Huangshan immer wieder auffrischte. Ich bin schon viel gereist und habe in vielen Luxushotels übernachtet, aber die Lion Cliff Lodge ist wirklich etwas Besonderes. Wir hatten ursprünglich zwei Nächte gebucht, aber weil wir so gern geblieben wären, haben wir noch eine Nacht drangehängt. Schon bevor wir am Tag unserer Abreise den Innenhof verließen, planten wir, im April die Blütenpracht zu bewundern und im Juli die kühle Brise zu genießen. Vielleicht ist das der Zauber von Huangshan. Der Frühling bringt hundert Blumen, der Herbst einen hellen Mond, der Sommer eine kühle Brise, der Winter Schnee, wenn man keine Sorgen hat, ist jede Jahreszeit schön. The best 4 days ever! Highly recommend this hotel! We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination! On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient. I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant. Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it! The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed. The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey. There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times. The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes. A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather! The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains! He also called us in advance before our arrival to confirm our plans and helped arrange a transfer to the train station after check-out. Obwohl es als zweiter Stock bezeichnet wurde, lag es tatsächlich sehr niedrig und das Fenster blickte auf eine Mauer (Bild 1). Auf den Werbefotos sah die Aussicht aus dem Fenster jedoch wunderschön aus, und ich dachte, dass der Preis zumindest wegen der Aussicht gerechtfertigt wäre. Wenn man sich auf das innere Bett legte, roch es nach Schimmel. Jedes Zimmer war mit einem Butler ausgestattet, der einen sehr herzlichen Service bot. Nach dem Check-in erhielten wir viele Nachrichten über Nachmittagstee, Saft, Massagesessel-Service und Shows (ich habe keines davon genutzt, da ich dafür das Zimmer verlassen musste und zu müde war; ich wollte einfach nur in Ruhe entspannen). Am Ende wurde uns ein Beutel Obst ins Zimmer gebracht. Aber nachts litt ich sehr unter dem Schimmelgeruch und konnte nicht gut schlafen, sodass ich leider keine volle Fünf-Sterne-Bewertung geben kann, tut mir leid ☹️ Trotzdem vielen Dank für das reichhaltige Abendessen und den herzlichen Service~

Sehr zufriedenstellendes Aufenthaltserlebnis, die Lobby ist groß, die Umgebung ist sehr gut, der Service an der Rezeption ist gut, das Einchecken geht schnell, die Zimmerausstattung ist vollständig, das Bett ist sehr bequem und das Zimmer verfügt über eine intelligente Steuerung. Der Rezeptionist Xiao Li war sehr nett und teilte uns mit, dass es abends Aufführungen in der Lobby geben würde. Auf Fragen während des Aufenthaltes wurde umgehend geantwortet. Das erste Mal, dass ich in der Volksgemeinschaft wohne, ist wirklich eine super Überraschung. Es gibt einen Kindergarten, der für Eltern und Kinder geeignet ist. Entlang der Treppe zum Zimmer, macht das Bild des Korridors mich glänzend und hat einen Kunstgefühl. Der Name des Zimmers ist auch besonders interessant. Unser Zimmer ist ein Kinderherz von 3 Lieblingen. Dieses Mal ist das Zimmer mit einem kleinen Schneelöffel, das ich für das Baby überraschen möchte. Der Chef ist auch sehr gut und hat auch kleine Geschenke vorbereitet, wenn er aus dem Zimmer geht. Das Aufenthaltserlebnis ist wirklich großartig.
