"We only used the accommodation for two nights without breakfast or any other meals. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and the coffee was great. The decor was really nice with a jazz feel. It was very quaint and vintage.
I would imagine a stay in the summer would be very nice as the courtyard was very pretty and peaceful."

GastnutzerWe had a great stay at the Crown Spa Hotel. All the staff were super friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were clean and fresh, we had a sea view. Meals in the Restaurant were very good value and excellent quality.
We had treatments in the Spa, the Girls were super friendly, welcoming and chatty.
We will certainly be returning.

The hotel is located in a great place, The aesthetic is perfect for the building. If you are disabled you may want to give this hotel a miss, as even if you specifically ask to be near a lift when you book they may put you in a room with no lift access at all, and the staff are not very helpful or accommodating even when you have a disability that is affected by stairs.
The queue to check in was over 50 minutes even though we tried to check in much later than 3pm. The hotel has a lot of stairs, the room was not spotlessly clean but adequate and came with all the basic requirements. The view from the windows was great. Overall this is an ok budget hotel that is only suitable if you are able bodied and can deal with a large number of stairs.

Lauren MintoWe had the most gorgeous stay at No.1 Guest House - if there wasn’t so much to see and do in York we would have happily just stayed in and enjoyed the hotel all weekend. The staff were amazing, especially Ellie, who made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. We loved just sitting in the bar area with a cocktail (the rosy margarita was amazing) and looking at all the art and the cute steam train. The hotel is sooo cosy and perfect for this time of year. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel only 10 minutes walk from the city centre
Our room was clean and cosy
In the room was hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as tea/coffee facilities and an electric fan which was definitely needed with temps reaching 29 degrees 🥵
The outdoor area was stunning with lots of seating and little pods to dine in of an evening very pretty all lit up at night
All the staff were friendly and helpful
We will definitely return in the near future.

GastnutzerNot as bad as other reviews suggest, yes it could do with a refurb but it is well priced,friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom. Comfy beds . Amazing views overlooking north bay, ideal as a base to explore. Didn’t eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on food. Don’t be put off by other bad reviews.

We had a wonderful experience at the Leonardo Hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the amenities provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A huge thank you to the staff—the service was truly excellent and made us feel very welcome.Over all a great choice to explore.

GastnutzerThe room initially given to us was some sort of attic. Requested for a room change and it was much better. The supervisor Shyam also took very good care of us and made our stay very much more unforgettable and very pleasant. Short walk from the train station but a bit of a walk to the Shambles and the Main Street.

Großes Zimmer mit viel Lager- und Duschezimmer. Leider war mein Zimmer nicht sehr sauber, gefunden schmutzig Gewebe unter dem Kleider.
Die Spa-Anlagen sind erstaunlich und kostenlos 1h jeden Tag, wenn Sie bleiben.

Der Milner York verfügt über eine große, spät gebaute Victorian-Fassade aus einem charakteristischen gelben Scarborough-Brick. Innerhalb der erstaunlichen Eintrittslobby zeigt eine wunderschöne historische Dome und elegante monochrome Fliesenboden. Das Kronjuwel des Hotels ist eine schwebende, zentrale Eisentrappe umgeben von hohen Decken. Die öffentlichen Loungen vermischen wunderschön historischen Objekt mit plush Chesterfield Sofas und Herringbone Holzböden. Die zeitgenössischen Schlafzimmer sind jedoch deutlich kleiner in Größe. Dieses kompakte Zimmer ist besonders im modernen ”Sidings” Anhang zu sehen.
