Our stay at Landison Longjing Resort Hangzhou was so memorable and absolutely magnificent that highlights remain sharp, vivid, and immensely uplifting. As tea lovers, it would have been lovely enough to be back in deciduous forests with bursting red maples and bright yellow Ginko trees accentuating autumn colors surrounding the beautifully manicured Longjing (Dragon Well) tea plantations that rest quietly within the hills of the peaceful landscape so very close to the resort—next to and just across the street, in fact! However, our trip’s joys skyrocketed with our stay at the Landison. The staff was totally fantastic! Exceptional service in every way. Working with a phone translator Tracy, Brandy, Wen Yi (I hope his name is spelled correctly!), and Chris provided patient, attentive, and thorough care, concern, and heartwarming attention as they fully considered and answered our many daily questions on where to go, what to do, how to get there and back. (We were thrilled to use the excellent public transportation in and around Hangzhou. The hotel is just meters from the bus stop of two main lines. These buses provided easy connections to other main lines linking us to much of the rest of the city) Staff also guided us where to buy excellent tea, which turned out to be right there at the hotel, as well as from other lovely teashops nearby! Landison’s breakfast menu, included in our booking, remained the same throughout our stay and never disappointed. Every day we enjoyed a large selection of beautiful, delicious food that included fresh fruit, vegetables, egg dishes of differing styles, rice, dim sum, pastries, and our go-to each day: a piping hot bowl of noodles, prepared to order by the chef standing behind the varied selection of noodles and fixings! There was so much fresh, delicious, interesting, vegetarian cuisine we can’t account for the entire extensive buffet. The dining staff was totally incredible with their refined, careful, complete attention. Dining Room Manager Xu became our dear, memorable friend, offering us sweet, caring personal attention and comfort throughout our visit. We couldn’t help feeling disappointed when we didn’t see her the day before we were to leave. When we returned to the hotel for the evening and saw her through a dining room window, we popped into the area to say hello and a magical connection manifested that only world travel can provide, when the distance between two vastly different cultures disappears under the glow of human kindness, warmth, and connection. She provided such outstanding delight for us that our hearts hurt when we had to say goodbye to her. When she translated on her mobile phone, “looking forward to seeing you again,” we smiled broadly and added a very hopeful nod in agreement. Extra lovely perks included nightly delivery of a delicate, nourishing white mushroom soup to keep us warm and help us sleep, a specialty of the establishment. It was tasty and nurturing every day! The housekeeping staff was amiable and friendly, mutually acknowledging and appreciating the human relationship!  In addition, the parking area staff offered cheerful, welcoming, and happy engagement with us throughout our stay. Our extraordinary stay at the Landison is the kind of experience that highlights the vast benefits of world travel where the barriers of worldly concerns and tensions can fade away or even disappear into the significant and transformative mix and engagement with a time and place different from where we come from or know habitually. Where one realizes that, although time and place may differ considerably and provide many positive catalysts for meaningful change, the human heart and mind are inextricably linked together by way of mutual desires for happiness, well-being, safety, expression, and connection, however that may unfold in its immeasurable arrangements. Ein Hotel, das ich sehr schätze. Es ist ein alteingesessenes Fünf-Sterne-Hotel, und obwohl es nach vielen Jahren nicht mehr so makellos neu glänzt wie einst, ist die Lage unschlagbar praktisch. Die Zimmer sind riesig und komplett ausgestattet. Nur einen Katzensprung über die Straße liegt der Westsee, und in der Umgebung gibt es viele gute Restaurants. Der Nachtmarkt ist farbenfroh und überwältigend. Das Essen zum Mitnehmen wird von einem Roboter aufs Zimmer gebracht, sehr aufmerksam! Zwei Punkte, die meiner Meinung nach verbessert werden könnten: 1. Ich hatte ein Nichtraucherzimmer gebucht, aber beim Betreten konnte ich immer noch Rauch riechen. Vielleicht haben sich die Gerüche früherer Gäste im Teppich oder an den Wänden festgesetzt. Als Fünf-Sterne-Hotel könnte man doch von den Gästen verlangen, während des gesamten Aufenthalts nicht zu rauchen? Das würde die Sauberkeit und Hygiene der Zimmer besser erhalten und auch Sicherheitsrisiken vermeiden. 2. Könnte ein Selbstbedienungs-Wäscheservice angeboten werden? Die meisten Hotels in China bieten diesen Service inzwischen an. Man könnte ihn kostenpflichtig nutzen. Jedes Kleidungsstück zum Waschen wegzugeben, ist wirklich unpraktisch, zumal bei der Online-Buchung angegeben war, dass es einen Selbstbedienungs-Wäscheservice gibt, was sich bei der Ankunft als falsch herausstellte. Zum Glück haben die netten jungen Damen und Herren an der Rezeption meine missliche Lage erkannt und mir geholfen, das Problem zu lösen. Dennoch überwiegen die Vorteile die Nachteile. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten!

Das Zimmer mit Seeblick hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Jeden Morgen durften wir die atemberaubende Berg- und Seenlandschaft genießen – die Aussicht war einfach malerisch. Das InterContinental zeichnet sich durch seine erstklassige Lage aus. **Umgebung:** Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, die Aussicht erstklassig; man fühlt sich hier wirklich inmitten der Natur. **Service:** Alle Mitarbeiter, denen wir im Hotel begegneten, waren stets höflich und äußerst zuvorkommend, was einen hervorragenden Eindruck hinterlassen hat. **Ausstattung:** Die Ausstattung war sehr umfassend und durchdacht, was unseren Aufenthalt überaus angenehm und komfortabel gemacht hat. **Hygiene:** Der Hygienestatus war sehr zufriedenstellend. Das Reinigungspersonal war äußerst fleißig, reagierte schnell auf Anfragen und bot einen ausgezeichneten Service. Vielen Dank dafür. **Besonderer Dank an den Reisefotografen:** Ein besonderer Dank geht an den Reisefotografen. Obwohl es zum vereinbarten Termin stark regnete und wir die geplanten externen Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht besuchen konnten, war der Fotograf technisch sehr versiert und zeigte ein großes Engagement. Our party of 3 adults spent 3 nights at the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort in early 12/2024.  We came to Fuchun to see the scenaries that had inspired the famous 富春山居圖 painting.  We booked 2 basic rooms (Linyin Garden View), but received free upgrades (Guizhou Lake View) at check in.  I must admit our initial feelings as we arrived was one of creeping doubt, because the Fuyang city streets we had driven through (we drove in from the Hangzhou Xihu area) were very industrial, just giant factories one after another and the immediate area outside the property was just a bunch of small suburban farm homes and shops.  Furthermore, as our car pulled up to the front lobby entrance, no one greeted us.  Not a soul was in sight.  Our driver had to poke his head inside and announce guests are here and service is needed.  From there on, however, things only got better and better.  So, yes, this was a quiet property.  There wasn’t a lot of staff standing about.  But, there was enough personnel to provide all the basic services expected.  And I found they were very friendly, quick to respond, and efficient.  During our 3.5 days here, we explored and enjoyed this beautiful hotel inside and out.  The hotel itself (the main building) was simply grand.  Its design and decor was a perfect balance of East Meets West, modernized traditional, understated elegance.  The layout was a bit of a labyrinth.  There were wings, corridors, and stairs you can go down to find restaurants, spa/gym/pool, conference rooms, sitting nooks, a small boat dock, and even an impressive collection of embroidery art on display.  Our rooms were large and airy, spotless, the ceiling was high, and the windows opened onto the lake.  The bathroom was spacious with a double sink and lots of counter space.  Beds and pillows were very comfortable, definitely in line with 5 star international standards.  Outside, there was a man-made lake with 2 groups of swans (or were they white geese?).  They crisscrossed the lake during the day and slept below our windows at night.  There was also a little children’s playground (with a pair of ducks) and what looked like a small amphitheater.  Several short paths allowed us to walk the sizable grounds.  Early one morning, we followed one across a little brook to the edge of the tea terrace.  Another morning, we strolled down a road flanked by bamboo that led to the beautiful villas that stood apart from the main hotel.  Everywhere, the atmosphere was tranquil and the views spectacular.  We ate most of our meals at the hotel since we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t really want to go out looking (this was the end of a 2 week trip).  We tried both of the restaurants on-site (the Chinese and the Western/Fusion) and thought they were fine overall, since food/ingredients were fresh and of good quality.  Taste and craft were okay, not great but acceptable.  In truth, we were probably not too demanding at this point, as we had already gorged out during our previous stay in the HZ/Xihu area.  In summary, our family really liked the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort.  We were very comfortable during our short stay.  We really appreciated the quiet calmness of the place as well as the warm service provided by the entire staff.  We would love to return.  It was an easy car ride from the HZ city area, and it was easy to hire cars to nearby and more distant attractions.  Lastly, for those interested in the 富春山居圖, there is a replica of the painting (both parts and to scale) displayed downstairs in the spa :)

A Comfortable, Pet-Friendly Stay with a Few Areas for Improvement The hotel can be difficult to identify when you first arrive because there is no sign directly on the building. Instead, the sign is attached to a gate that usually remains open, so it becomes partially folded and easy to miss. The hotel also does not have on-site parking. Guests park across the street at the restaurant where breakfast is served each morning. Breakfast was traditional Chinese and included steamed buns, sweet potato, a hard-boiled egg, watermelon, tea, and milk. Everything was very tasty. Coffee was also available, but it cost extra. The people looking after the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they were filling the swimming pool after cleaning it and told us it would be ready later that day. Although the pool was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel, it did not quite meet our cleanliness standards because the deeper areas still appeared slightly cloudy. However, many other guests were comfortable using it, and we saw people enjoying the pool every day. The library area was absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately, there was a strong smell of mildew that made it difficult to spend much time there. These were the main drawbacks of our stay. Our room, however, was lovely. It smelled fresh, the bed was firm and very comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The staff emptied the rubbish and replenished our drinking water every day. The bathroom products were high quality, and toothbrushes were provided upon arrival. The room would have been even better if there had been enough towels for everyone staying in it and if the water had been slightly hotter. The hotel is located directly beside the river, with access to a peaceful riverside walk through beautiful gardens. There is also an elevated walkway farther down the road that looked interesting, although we did not have the opportunity to explore it. The river area was especially relaxing, and if I return, I would bring folding chairs and a small folding table so we could sit in the shallow water, relax, and play games. Most attractions and restaurants are approximately a 20-minute drive from the hotel. The receptionist tried to help us with maps and itineraries. Unfortunately, even after attempting to find the same hike on three different days, we were unable to locate the trailhead. It seemed that even local residents were not very familiar with the exact route. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is that it is pet-friendly and does not charge an additional pet fee, which was an important reason we chose it. The gentleman at reception also helped us secure a dinner reservation at Naked Ranch, where we had a wonderful evening. Moganshan is a beautiful destination, and overall, this hotel provided a comfortable stay. There is certainly some room for improvement, but I would return because I slept incredibly well and appreciated the warm, helpful service. Thank you again to the staff for all their assistance.

Another satisfied stay on my trip. I always feel chill and relax whenever I’m back to the room. The room is clean and nice, and there is a cute little garden out there, sitting there doing nothing really calm me down. The lady boss and staff are really helpful and they help us with our luggage when we reached. They also provide simple yet delicious breakfast, and you can enjoy this delicious breakfast in the little garden, enjoying the fresh air there. There is a nice restaurant nearby serving delicious food, we really love it. This Airbnb is located within 西湖 area, so it’s quite close to all the tourist spot. Overall my parents and I were very satisfied with our stay here. And will definitely come back or share with our friends if they are visiting Hangzhou soon.

Leider ließ sich die Badezimmertür nicht richtig schließen und rutschte immer wieder von selbst auf. Die Betten waren fest und konnten nicht verschoben werden. Da wir als Gruppe unterwegs waren und die Betten zum Schlafen gerne zusammengeschoben hätten, mussten wir die Matratzen bewegen. Zum Glück war der Spalt zwischen den beiden Betten nicht allzu groß. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, ein typisches Hotelbuffet. Die Auswahl war nicht riesig, aber ausreichend. Wegen der großen Hitze hielten wir es nicht für nötig, den lokalen Morgentee-Laden („Zaocha Ke“) auszuprobieren. Falls das Hotelfrühstück einmal überfüllt sein sollte, könnte man dort alternativ einfach etwas kaufen – die Preise sind vernünftig, zum Beispiel kostet ein Baozi nur 5 Yuan. **Wichtige Hinweise:** Die Matratze ist recht weich; wenn man sich auf den Rand setzt, sackt man unangenehm tief ein. Der Blick aus dem Fenster ging auf eine Wand, es gab also keine Aussicht. Das Hotel hat nur zwei Etagen und keinen Aufzug, aber das Personal hilft gerne mit dem Gepäck. Der Shuttlebus fährt nicht direkt bis zum Hoteleingang. Man muss am Xuchang Sojasaucengarten vorbeigehen und dann eine Brücke überqueren, um das Hotel zu erreichen. Man kann zwar einen Mitarbeiter bitten, beim Gepäck zu helfen, aber wir wussten das bei unserer Ankunft nicht und schleppten unser Gepäck mühsam hoch. Dies ist jedoch eine der günstigeren Zimmerkategorien in diesem Touristengebiet. Mit einem Preis von nur etwas über 1000 Yuan punktet es vor allem mit seinem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Service des Hotels ist insgesamt sehr gut.

Dieses Mal übernachteten wir in einem Zweibettzimmer im Rammed Earth Cottage. Das Zimmer war geräumig und verfügte über einen großen Balkon, umgeben von üppigem Grün. Morgens das Fenster zu öffnen und ins Grüne zu blicken, war unglaublich erfrischend. Das Zimmer selbst ist ein freistehendes Gebäude und bietet viel Privatsphäre und einen ruhigen Schlaf. Es verfügt über eine Bar, einen kleinen Tisch, eine Badewanne und einen Duschkopf im Zimmer und auf dem Balkon. Ein kleiner Tipp wäre ein größerer Fernseher und ein größeres Bett. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Unser Butler war dieses Mal Xiao Tu, der prompt reagierte, geduldig meine Fragen beantwortete und mir die Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten des Tals vorstellte. Ich hatte sogar meine Wasserflasche während der Fahrt verloren, und er fand sie sogar auf einem Golfwagen für mich. Es war ein wahres Vergnügen! Das Tal ist wunderschön und bietet viele Aktivitäten, die wir jedoch aufgrund unseres Zeitplans nicht genießen konnten, was etwas enttäuschend war. Man kann auch mit dem Shuttlebus zum atemberaubenden Naked Castle fahren. Sobald ich mehr Geld habe, werde ich auf jeden Fall einen Schlossaufenthalt buchen. Die Restaurants im Tal waren alle sehr lecker. Kikaboni konnte ich leider nicht ausprobieren, Naked Taste hingegen schon. Ich bestellte ein Ribeye-Steak und ein Tomaten-Nudelgericht, beides war köstlich. Das Vorspeisenbrot wurde mit drei verschiedenen Soßen serviert, was ziemlich ungewöhnlich war, und jede einzelne war köstlich. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, viel mehr als in den meisten Fünf-Sterne-Restaurants. Es gab einen leckeren weißen Schokoladen-Lolli, den Mochi-Kuchen und das Obst war süß, aber auch sonst war alles sehr gut. Die Welpen in der Lobby waren so süß: ein Corgi und ein Dackel. Der Corgi hieß anscheinend Chuan Chuan. Sie hatten keine Angst vor Menschen und waren angenehm zu halten. Sie schienen sich kaum zu bewegen, lagen einfach nur da und sonnten sich auf einem großen Vollkornbrot. Kurz gesagt: Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Es ist zwar etwas teuer, aber es lohnt sich! Ich komme beim nächsten Mal auf jeden Fall wieder.
