Arrived at reception to a 30min wait due lots of people trying to book in and only two receptionists at the desk and one of these was dealing with problems. Which spoilt the start to our break. Once we arrived in our room which was above the restaurant we found the room 4133 outdated with veneer on the wardrobe peeling off. This is not what we would have expected from the reviews we had read. reference the leisure complex swimming pool. which was clean but we found no instructions on how to operate the lockers and had to wait until someone came in. The breakfast and bar area are excellent. generally Very disappointed.

The room is big (designed for a family of four) decorated in nerf theme, kids would love it. All is good but our shower tap is not functioning well, only gives out boiling hot water which we had to use the bath and let the water cool down a bit before we can use a towel to wash. Not the best but image it’s a good place for family with young kids. Walls are thin, we can hear next door running and snoring. Ear plugs ensured a good night sleep :D

I took my wife here for her 60th, amazing staff receptionist charlotte was warm and knowledgable, very kind giving us a token due to birthday. The infinity pool is amazing warm clean, Shrigley would make much more money if they served drinks while in the pool, but we would still be there now. The rooms are adiquate they are clean, the shower's are amazing, Dinning for evenning meal again was excellent, the service is 11/10 and I have been in a number of Spa the meal cost were really well priced with excellent food. Breakfast in the morning self service again pleanty to choose from and again tasty with great choice. It is a amazing spa with the ability toplay gold or have a number of treatments, and well priced, I will return there

Stayed on 20 June 2025 I chose this place because I was looking for somewhere different to the typical hotels and BnBs during my Europe trip. I was more mobile with a rented car. The photos in the booking website did not do it justice as it gave a “******* castle” vibe but in reality is lovely and bright. In addition, the relatively low price and limited time to book. I am puzzled that it's ratings did not exceed 4 stars as it exceeded my expectations. The staff were warm, kind, and prompt. Breakfast was excellent, with the amazing view from the room, overlooking a meadow with grazing sheep. An added bonus: it’s located along the Grindstone Path, making it a perfect and convenient spot for hiking enthusiasts.

Die Eincheckung war sehr einfach und ohne Probleme mit drei Mitarbeitern, die die Gäste anmelden. Wir kamen gut vor der Eincheckung um 15.00 Uhr, aber keine frühe Eincheckung in den Zimmern war verfügbar, so dass wir später zurückzukehren mussten, um einchecken zu können. Die Zimmergröße war angemessen mit komfortablem Bett und Qualitätsstühlen, die eine gute Ruhe sichern. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, nur unten ist die Lage, dass es nicht zu Fuß vom Stadtzentrum entfernt ist, aber dies ist kein Deal-breaker, weil das Hotel am Rande des Stadtzentrums viel einfacher ist.

Das erste Mal, dass ich dieses Hotel besuche, fühle mich gut, das Zimmer ist komfortabel und der Service ist gut. Es gibt keinen Leibschrank, das Gepäck zum zweiten Stock zu bewegen ist ein bisschen lustig.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet, aber es ist sehr gut. Ich habe nicht die Bar oder das Restaurant besucht, wie es mit meinem 12-jährigen Sohn war, aber das Menü sah ausgezeichnet aus und die Bar-Bereich sah angenehm aus. Viel schöne Flachwagenparkplätze. Ich würde sicherlich wieder besuchen!

A great hotel with funky rooms, and very good facilities including a gym and pool. The bar is great with a number it sports screens and even a little cinema area, food is also served here. There is also a Starbucks with little cafe area. The staff can’t do enough for you and parking is free whilst staying the night at the hotel. A great find.
