Sehr einfaches Kettenhotel - beachten Sie, dass es alte Zimmer und neue Zimmer für das Hotel in Coimbra gibt. Die aufgeführten Fotos zeigen hauptsächlich die neuen Zimmer, aber wir bekamen das alte Zimmer, das sehr veraltet war. Auch die Fernbedienung für den Fernseher funktionierte nicht. Wir baten um das neue Zimmer und zum Glück war eines für den sofortigen Check-in verfügbar. Anscheinend werden nur 5 von 90 Zimmern renoviert? Nur das Personal an der Rezeption konnte Englisch sprechen. Die Lage war etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Stadtzentrum und 5 Minuten Fahrt vom Bahnhof Coimbra-B über Uber entfernt. Sie können sich auf meine Fotos beziehen, um den Unterschied zwischen dem alten und dem neuen Zimmer zu sehen.

Hotel restaurant is very good. The breakfast had a decent variety specially taking into account the price per night.  The rooms are new but they are poorly insulated when it comes to noise, you can hear everything going on outside. If someone closes the door, you hear it like its your room.

Zu viel Lärm durch zuschlagende Türen in anderen Zimmern, was zeigt, dass die Schalldämmung nicht optimal ist, außerdem sind sämtliche Straßengeräusche in den Zimmern hörbar, als ob die Fenster geöffnet wären.

Hotel entfernt vom Strand, aber wenig bewegt, was positiv ist! Moderne Einrichtungen, ruhig, gutes Frühstück. Gute Verpflegung.

Great place to stay for a couple of days, beach, plenty of Resturants. Casino all steps away from the front door. The hotel was calm, clean with extremely friendly staff. The breakfast had loads of goodies. Would not hesitate to stay again or tell a friend.

Das Hotel liegt neben der Uni, es ist sehr praktisch zum Spielen, das Hotel liegt am Berg, vom Bahnhof zum Hotel, besser Taxi rufen!

As instalações do hotel são muito boas e oferecem comodidades muito interessantes (court de tennis, piscinas, passeios de gaivotas, bicicletas, etc...) O pequeno almoço buffet também é muito bom e bastante variado (os pastéis de nata são incríveis) O quarto era enorme com casa de banho completa, pena a nossa vista não ser para o lago ou para as piscinas. O único senão foi o ruído quer do elevador (o nosso quarto era mesmo encostado ao elevador) e as pessoas que mesmo à meia noite andavam pelos corredores a falar como se fosse meio dia!

Solar Antigo is a must-visit in Coimbra for anyone seeking a top-notch experience. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi and a stunning view of the city, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was my wife’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and celebrated. They even included a small cake with a candle for the in-room breakfast—such a thoughtful touch! The welcome sparkling wine and cake were also a delightful surprise. Their exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer service truly set them apart. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!

I have mixed feelings about my experience in this hotel, the reason is that it has an unusual concept with a design-oriented approach, which attracted a designer like me. As I checked in late and tired, the friendly staff offering me an ice cold beer was a nice start. The fact that the room was a windowless box made me a little uneasy at first, although I am not claustrophobic, but I was relieved by the good lighting and the rain shower. The hotel is really a must-experience and appeals more to young guests with its more affordable price compared to others. The only negative point was that it wasn't clean enough, the sheet metal on the bed and dust on the floor prevented the perfect experience.
