An excellent 'home from home' stay and a great location. It's a short walk to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. A warm friendly welcome on arrival and we were shown immediately to our room. Our room (No6) has a great view and is spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Tea & Coffee making facilities along with biscuits were appreciated. The ensuite bathroom was spacious too and had complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was lovely, so many choices to pick and the portions were generous. A great place to stay!!

Stayed for a night and will definitely be back next time. Room has great sound proofing and is modern, clean and spacious and we had a great view of Harrogate from the window. Brekkie was generous with lots of warm dishes and there’s an option to order from the menu as well. Walking distance to everything. Highly recommend!

Leider wurde mir bei der Ein- und Auscheckung vom Empfänger gesagt, dass ihr System, das an einem Zusammenbruch halt, viel länger dauerte, als es sollte. Das war frustrierend, aber diese Dinge passieren. Die echte Frage ist der Geruch der gemütlichen Zimmer hinter der Website. Wir hatten 3 Zimmer gebucht (51,52 & 53) für uns und Freunde und wir bemerkten sofort den starken Geruch, wenn wir in die Zimmer gingen. Wir realisierten diese Zimmer schnell direkt hinter dem Vizeroy Indian Restaurant. Der Geruch aus der Küche des Restaurants hat sich in die Möbel der Zimmer vergraben. Ich empfehle Ihnen, diese Zimmer bei Ihrem Aufenthalt im Hotel zu vermeiden.

Good hotel. Clean and well located. Walking distance to the train station and central to the town. Helpful staff and a good breakfast.

I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn in York. The location is unbeatable—perfectly situated near the city center, making it easy to explore all the historic attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. Their excellent service made my visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting York!

This was a nice boutique hotel and great location - 10 minute walk to all the main sites. The breakfast was lovely with a selection of pastries, muffins and cereals as well hot food to order from a menu. The room was large with lots of space to move around and the bed was comfy. Great shower too and you get free welcome chocolate which was a nice touch.

Good location, short walking distance into town. Room size is comfortable for two pax. Broken shower was not informed to us when checking in. Had to shower over the bath that had no showering curtain, this made the entire toilet wet and potentially slippery. It will also be inconvenient if someone is unable to climb in and out of a bath easily. Towels were not provided, requested via the QR code. However, after waiting awhile, we had to go down to lobby to remind the staff of our request. It was then promptly addressed.

Very pleasant staff on check in. Parking free and could spill into Toby Carvery car park next door with no fear of being stung for parking charges. Room had everything we needed and was accessible - hairdryer attached to mirror. Places to hang towels on walls. Plenty of hanging space. Spacious shower and Dove toiletries. Comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. Staff were brilliant. Dealt with spillages efficiently and with a smile and tables were cleared promptly. Only negative was decor was perhaps a little tired. Perhaps a key card entry to access bedrooms although reception was 24 hour. Would recommend 👍

This was a treat from me to myself. I had a fabulous time at Middlethorpe Hall. From the spa to the dinner to the breakfast and treatment the next morning. It was a dream. The garden is also very pleasant to walk around and every single staff member I crossed paths with made sure I felt welcome. I highly recommend!
