Zante Plaza Hotel & Apartments

This is a added review from my first review, I have forgotten to say although my partner and myself had a fabulous time the resort was full of youngsters , which did lead to load noise at night when returning from night clubs at 4am , also on hind sight would not recommend to familys and young children or anybody over 30 yrs unless tolerant to younger this really should be a hotel exclusively for 18yrs to 20 yrs . At hight of summer we have be told hotel is full of youngsters .

was not in the hotel was chucked off to the apartments which was a whole walk away from the hotel the rooms were dirty and outdated the balcony was filthy when we got there air con did not work there was no wifi in the room had to go into dirty balcony filled with bugs shower was dirty and soaked the floor anytime using it would not recommend to anyone not worth the money at all very unsatisfied

We arrived at the hotel midday and booked in, our room was ready, and we were taking off to our room, which was a Superior Room in one the apartments. On first impressions, the hotel, like many in Zante, looks a little dated. To be fair, first impressions were accurate, however, it is also reasonably well maintained. The rooms were a reasonable size, and the only real complaint was the mattress was a little lumpy. Or at least that was my wife’s experience, as such, I was reminded at every available opportunity! Other than that, it was your typical tiled floor, white painted walls, and balcony style room. The view wasn't great, but we didn't intend to stay in the room too much. The safe cost 20 Euros, but worst of all you had to pay for the air-conditioning! I refused to do so, it was end of season and not too hot. Had it been mid-season, it would have been an exchange of words, as my room was advertised with AC. I would seriously consider this if heading out in the warmer months of the year. The hotel also has two separate apartment blocks, and there are three separate buildings in total. Experience may differ depending on whichever part of the hotel you are staying in. There are three pools, one in each block. In my block, it was a small splash pool really. It didn’t really matter, as the pool in the hotel block was reasonable, and the bigger pool in the other apartment block was a better suntrap with a snack bar! The main strength of this hotel is the staff, they were all excellent, friendly, and very approachable always willing to help. Probably the best group of hotel staff we have met. Though I would extend that compliment to the people of Zante, very nice people. The food was your typical all-inclusive menu, but it was well presented and cooked. I have no complaints regarding the standard of food. Some guests were walking away from the buffet with plates that looked like they were two-man lifts. So, the food cannot be too bad. That said, there were not enough dining tables in the main restaurant for the guests. There was always someone waiting on a table. This was compounded later on in the evening, as the entertainment was in the same area, and guests would site with drinks at their tables rather than move on. That was the price to pay if you wanted experience traditional Greek Dancers gliding past the pasta tray with a bottle of Ouzo to traditional Greek music. They did have theme nights, in a separate restaurant, away from the main hotel building. Again, the food was very good, and the nights were very popular. There was always plenty of seating available. The hotel and apartment blocks are well located, 50 meters from both the beach and the *****. The beach was excellent and stretches for a good distance. We got our 10,000 steps in walking along it. The hotel is also surrounding by plenty of shops offering trips, car hire, quad hire etc. We went at the end of the season, and the entertainment was sp****. But we often t

Hotel ok but could do with some updating. Be aware towels are not changed every day. Cleaning could be a bit more thorough. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Food not great but breakfast was normally ok. Although went on an all inclusive basis tended to still eat out.

We arrived 10th October for weeks holiday on arrival the man on reception was very welcoming when realising the room we had been given did not have walk in shower he went out of his way to sort another room for us which was on ground floor overlooking pool .The hotel is in perfect position for the beach which we went to everyday the sea was warm weather was perfect. We found the food extremely good plenty of choice great selection of salads meats fish staff all friendly and helpful great service the man behind the bar was great always remembering your drinks Entertainment was good Greek night lovely food and dancing. Would we return to this hotel yes definitely at the time we stayed mixed age groups not all young people but most of clubs had already shut . Thank you Zante Plaza Hotel for a fabulous holiday

Firstly you get greeted by an extremely rude man on reception, he’s there in the day. There’s no lift at all in the hotel so you have to carry your luggage up 4 flights of stairs which was so dangerous. The room wasn’t at all described on the photos online! The shower is absolutely tiny with no shower curtains so then the floor becomes like an ice rink and it’s so slippy with no support hand rails incase you fall! The air con was €9 a day and you had to pay for everyday of your stay you couldn’t just pick how many days you wanted it. The aircon was only in 1 room in the family apartment so it didn’t make the whole apartment cold. It then started to leak, house keeping rang someone to fix it but wasn’t fixed. The staff in the main restaurant are so rude and hardly speak! The food is basic and doesn’t change much as they say! BBQ night they was serving carbonara! Wasn’t much entertainment in the hotel. Over in the snack bar the young gentleman was lovely and always made conversation but the other staff came across as arrogant.

Writing this review on our last night at this hotel , Booked this as a last minute short break (4 nights) from manchester this hotel has far exceeded expectations. Hotel is in an ideal location for the beach and the main ***** , it is very very clean , Pool areas are nice , rooms (ours was 205 ground floor ) are spacious and clean , the food was honestly amazing and you would definitely not go hungry, staff are friendly, bar staff remember your drinks really quick, we wished we'd have booked a week (or even two) we will definitely be back 😀 regards martyn & Sue

Just visited here in early October, 3 of us "lads" aged 50s. All in all I thought the place was fantastic. Positives - The staff are absolutely superb and cannot do enough for you. The bar and kitchen staff at the open restaurant work 12 hours a day 7 days a week yet are still so friendly, can't praise them enough. Same in the main restaurant,very friendly and efficient. The rooms we had were spotless. No problem with the beds or anything else. Maids in daily to clean and change towels. Yes the rooms are basic but what do you want? You don't go on holiday to sit in your room watching television. The food was superb. Massive choice at breakfast; everything for your full English and everything for continental. All very nice too. The location is great as others have said, 2 minutes to the main ***** and also to the beach. You can walk one way along the beach for about 2 miles also. No gym but the one up the road is great and charges €10 a day or €30 for the week. Drinks were all good, draft lager and a selection of cocktails, 11am til 11pm. Negatives - and they are only minor points. No air con - well there is but it's charged at €9 a day. This should be included in the price in my opinion. It would win more people other than making it an additional cost. We were not told about the 12am.zero policy on noise. As such we were told to report to reception for playing music on the balcony. It wasn't loud, we're 50 odd years old. How they deal with this in summer I don't know! A late checkout will cost you €40 which is complete rip off. No locks or paper towels in the 3 toilets at the back of the open restaurant, so be prepared for someone walking in on you! These are all small fixes which would make this hotel so much better, I hope they read this and take it on board. No doubt in peak season this place will be absolutely mad busy, but when went it was perfect. Do your research people, this is a young folks hotel in peak season, but fine in the latter weeks.

Firstly, it is basic, however the 2 bedroom suite is huge, as is the balcony. Housekeeping are great, the place is spotless. Food in the restaurant is amazing. Brilliant location. Staff friendly, bar/pool music is fab. Sky Sports on at night I the bar. For me I definitely feel that the deal I had from TUI gave me value for money and I would happily recommend this hotel to others.
