Shigakogen Prince Hotel

In der Nähe gibt es nur wenige Restaurants. Um weitere Restaurants zu finden, müssen Sie einen Bus nach Ichinose nehmen. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Möglichkeiten. Das Wichtigste ist, dass die Straße von der Bushaltestelle zum Hotel keine ebene Straße ist, sondern wie eine Skipiste. Man kann sich kaum vorstellen, wie schwierig es ist, zwei Personen über die Piste zum Hotel zu schleppen. Mit dem Zimmer im Hotel gibt es keine großen Probleme. Alles andere ist gut.

Das Zimmer war klein für den Preis Und die Möbel sind alt. Es gab keinen Schnee, der das Gefühl beeinträchtigt hätte, sonst hätte es sich viel besser anfühlen sollen

The hotel is clean, nice view from the room. Ski in ski out is very convenient, locker is big enough to store 3 sets of equipments. Main drawback is no more free shuttle from the hotel to Ichinose starting March 22 and limited dining places in the hotel.

Had a nice experience here. The rooms had heating and windows that could open, which was great. There was hot water for showers whenever we needed it. We stayed for 4 nights in total and the rooms were cleaned on two days. If you need more towels on the non-cleaning days you can just ask the reception. The staff there were very helpful too. One thing that wasn’t great was that the room lights were very dim. Another thing was that we had the room at the end of the corridor which the furthest away from the lift- it was a long walk to the lift, around 100m. It’s better to request for a room near the lifts (lifts are not noisy). There was a secure cloak room for storing luggage, which is free of charge. We arrived before the 3pm check in time and stored our luggage in the cloak room while we went skiing). Breakfast and dinner buffets were pretty decent - there was a wide variety of foods to choose from. The west building was conveniently located near two chairlifts and we could head to different ski areas easily. Most of the chairlifts close at 4pm, but the one right outside the hotel closes at 4:30pm which was great. The shuttle buses were convenient to take when we wanted to go out for dinner. This hotel is conveniently located near Ichinose which has many restaurants. There is ski and snowboard equipment with clothing for rental at the hotel, but not for purchase. My ski pants broke on the trip and we went to so many different shops in shigakogen but only found 2 shops that sold a very limited selection of ski pants - Restaurant St Christophe (at Okushiga) and Snowcan Ichinose Diamond shop. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a ski-in-ski-out hotel. Shigakogen is an amazing place for a ski holiday - the slopes were not crowded at all during my stay and I never had to line up for a gondola or a chairlift.

service and environment is good, however too expensive, i would expect better facilities for this price

Everything is find and meet our expectation. Ski in ski out the hotel, free locker, also have onsen. No adverse comment and experience. It’s much convenient if you drive to hotel. Not much F&B choice. Ski gears quality are quite good in hotel rental shop. Room is small if u choose the cheapest type of room. However, it is worth to stay.

Good location, but small and old room. Overall still quite good. Recommended for ski in ski out

Amazing ski-in-ski-out hotel- Has free shuttle buses between Prince hotels so you can go to different restaurants at night and bars within the hotels. Excellent service and amenities- for anyone wanting a great ski in/out experience- would highly recommend. Rooms have everything you want- comfortable beds, great view and  Wet room/ bath. Highly recommended.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional assistance provided by your staff during our stay at the South Wing of Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel from December 14 to 17, 2025. On our way up to Shiga Kogen, we encountered severe difficulties due to heavy blizzard conditions. Our vehicle became unusable, repeatedly slipping on the icy road surface, leaving us in a very challenging and unsafe situation. At that critical moment, Mr. Koyama drove down from the hotel and promptly came to our aid, enabling us to reach the hotel safely and check in without further incident. Furthermore, on the following day, both Mr. Koyama and Ms. Zhang continued to assist us by helping to rescue our vehicle that was stuck on the road. Their kind, professional, and dedicated support made all the difference, allowing us to feel secure and enjoy our stay. We were deeply touched by the warm hospitality shown by all your staff, and in particular by the thoughtful actions of Mr. Koyama and Ms. Zhang. Their efforts created lasting memories for us and truly reflect the high standards of service at your hotel. Please convey our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Koyama and Ms. Zhang.
