Baymont by Wyndham Beloit

The only positive thing was the friendly desk attendant the evening we arrived. The entire facility reeked of what was probably a sanitizer in an attempt to cover odors. Our daughter had to get clean sheets to remake her bed as the sheets had hair on them. The carpet felt as though it was wet (sanitizer?) and I wore shoes the entire time in the room. The beds were very uncomfortable. The grab bar in the tub was missing completely. The water control in the tub/shower was so difficult to pull on I had to have my husband turn/pull it for me. Whoever had attempted to "remodel" the bathroom did a very poor job painting (wall paint on the doors). The vanity front had been cracked and rather than replaced had some kind of block that appeared to be put in place to hold the two pieces of the marble/granite (not sure which) together. Some towels had certainly seen better days, actually being gray rather than white. I refused to make coffee in the in-room coffeemaker as it was obvious it had not been cleaned in some time. My husband ate some of the breakfast items, but I refrained and had only coffee from the buffet.The morning desk attendant, the same person in charge of the breakfast buffet, was not on the friendly side. Before leaving, I called the national number to cancel the reservations previously made for our trip back through WI in October. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Room decor outdated, hotel was older and needs some updates. Ed was comfortable but each bed had 3 pillows had to go to front desk for a couple more. Room didn’t stay cool.

This was a horrible stay. The entire hotel smelled horrible, the room was old and outdated, no elevator so we had to carry our things upstairs. We didn't eat the breakfast because we were afraid to. We ended up checking out after one night and went home. We just drove to the tournament later.

Gets one star for not having bed bugs. Yellow scum on toilet and shower. Whole place smelled like ****. Yelling in hall middle of the night. Breakfast was gross. Felt completely catfished - pictures when booking must be really old.

Can't beat a decent-priced hotel these days. My friend & I stayed here one night after an even in Chicago on the way home. We checked in very late at night, and the staff were friendly. Check-in & check-out process was simple. The breakfast was quite poor, so we didn't eat any of that. However, the beds were comfy and the rooms had exactly what we needed. Not bad for a cheap visit.

The guy at the front desk, I think Randy, was very kind and welcoming. He was the best part of the stay and that's where the fun ends. My hotel room was dirty. There were Skittles crushed into the carpet, there was a hole in my bathroom door, and the dust on the hair dryer was thick and caked on. It was disgusting. Breakfast was a joke. There were obviously microwaved eggs and sausage which looked floppy and gross. The woman at the front desk who was restocking breakfast was loudly talking about how she hated working there and slamming things around (tall overweight woman in her 20's). She was speaking to people that looked like locals and not guests who were helping themselves to breakfast. There was a concerning amount of shady people just hanging out who I am sure were not guests. I did not feel safe. If you're looking for a fitness center, this place had a fitness closet with 1 treadmill, 1 exercise bik and 1 elliptical. That's it. Not a dumbbell or a weight in sight. Do not stay here. There are so many hotels in Beloit along that main road, this one needs to be shut down.

The staff was very accommodating with our requests. They were all very friendly. Some of the towels and rags were very worn. I was surprised to find a motel that economical that close to Chicago. I would stay again if I were traveling in the area.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel. I cannot recommend this for vacation because if you have children, there is too much smoking outside the front entrance. The breakfast is so hard to horrible.

Was staying in the Beloit area for the weekend with an old friend. We made reservations about two months in advance for a 2 Queen bed Suite room. However, when we arrived to check into the hotel, we were informed that they don’t have any SUITE rooms at this location (despite it being advertised on the Wyndham website). Initial miscommunication and confusion aside, we were able to get a 2 queen bed room assigned to us and even ultimately saved some money with having to downgrade to a smaller room. The room both clean and comfortable. Room had the standard amenities, such as TV, air conditioning, and refrigerator. There was a desk chair and small table, and we were able to borrow another chair so the of us were able to use the table. Beds and bedding were comfortable, and we were able to get a decent night’s sleep each evening. Location doesn’t have many extras (such as a pool), but they do have a decent exercise room. They also offer a meager but mentionable breakfast in the morning. They have the standard bagels, muffins, and cereal. They also have a waffle maker for something warmer. One of the mornings, they provided eggs and sausage patties as well, which was a welcome variation to the standard carbohydrate options. Special Note: I would be remiss if I didn’t specifically mention one of the hotel staff, Randy, who redeemed our stay at this Baymont. He was polite and positive while handling the mix-up with our check-in. He was also very attentive and friendly throughout the weekend, which made our stay all the more enjoyable and personable.
