Terme Olimia - Hotel Sotelia

We heard so much good about it before our arrival,but left the hotel disappointed. The rooms are nice, but the heating was not working in our room. I had to ask the reception several times to have it checked. When the technicians arrived, they repaired it in only one room (we had a family room) and mentioned the other room perhaps even cannot be repaired, but that they will come later to try again. They didn't return and we weren't given feedback on it on the reception when we asked, no one knew anything. The entire stay we were in the cold room, my daughter caught a cold and a terrible cough thanks to it. The service was bad. When we arrived with two kid and a bunch of luggage, they didn't offer any help. The cleaning service did not put fresh water and fruit daily - which they boast with everywhere in ads. The waiters at the restaurant were uninterested, sometimes even rude. They have this funny system where you have to eat dinner within a defined hour, you have to define when you will come in advance, although the dinner lasts longer. Towards the end of dinner, there are no waiters, no one wants to take your drinks order even if it is still dinnertime. There is plenty of choice of food, but it is bland, everything tastes the same. I expected a higher quality for such a hotel. The pools are beautiful, clean. There weren't many people when we were there, but in peak season there are probably since the pool sunbeds are arranged next to each other literally, there is not 1 mm of space between the sunbeds.

Ho soggiornato 2 notti in questo hotel. Stanze belle pulite e spaziose. Ogni giorno ci omaggiavano di una bottiglia di acqua termale in stanza.Colazione abbondante, sia salata che dolce. Ristorante self service con cibo cucinato al momento orrimmo.Receptionist disponibili e gentili. Saune super . Consigliatissimo.

We've been here for the first time as a facility with 1 year older baby girl. From the first time we enter the hotel we were very satisfied with everything. Rooms clean, food so delicious, pools and area very family oriented. We will be back for sure

Ottimo hotel con altrettanto ottimo centro wellness raggiungibile comodamente in accappatoio dal sotterraneo. Noi abbiamo optato per Oridhelia pagando 20 € al giorno in più in quanto vietato ai minori di 16 anni e pertanto più silenzioso e meno affollato. Colazione molto varia e cena a buffet con ampia scelta di pietanze di ogni tipo. Stanze spaziose e pulite, silenziose, letti molto comodi e possibilità di scegliere il cuscino. Giornalmente frutta fresca e 1 litro di acqua termale. Cani ammessi al costo di 15 € al giorno, ma all'arrivo abbiamo trovato la copertina, la ciotola e un sacchetto di biscottini. Sarebbe stato tutto perfetto, a parte due cose, ma assolutamente migliorabili: 1. la pulizia giornaliera frettolosa e poco attenta: hanno solo rifatto il letto, senza pulire il bagno (nemmeno il pavimento!) né passare l'aspirapolvere sulla moquette in camera, un giorno hanno dimenticato di aggiungere carta igienica 2. vengono previsti 2 turni per colazione e cena, indicati arbitrariamente senza chiedere abitudini o preferenze. Attendere fino alle 8.30 per la colazione per chi si alza alle 6 non è ammissibile in un hotel di questo tipo.

Nice, clean but overpriced packages. Good food and a nice buffet choice, but at the end we asked for vegetarian lunch package and we got sandwiches with salami, even though on the bag was written vege. Terme are nice, but overpacked with people and kids. No free sunbed available, not even for the hotel guests!

L'hotel è nuovo e ben curato. Il personale in reception parla molto bene italiano, tutti molto gentili. Abbiamo soggiornato in una suite con sauna e vasca jacuzzi privata. La stanza era molto grande con angolo soggiorno con divano, tv e tavolo da 4 posti. Nell'offerta c'era scritto frutta fresca ogni mattina... all'arrivo c'erano 4 banane e il giorno seguente 4 mandarini. Sinceramente visto il prezzo almeno due tipi di frutta me li aspettavo. Colazione e cena a buffet molto varia per cercare di soddisfare tutti i gusti, cibo nella media, non da 4 stelle. Compreso nel pacchetto l'entrata al Thermalia, molto carino dopo la ristrutturazione ma affollato, quasi una piscina normale. Per entrare all'orhidelia 20€ aggiuntivi a persona, che ne vale la pena, ma potevano includerlo nel pacchetto visto che si va lì apposta per le terme. Per rilassarsi a dovere meglio usufruire della mini spa privata della camera.

When you pay 600€ for 2 nights stay, your expectations are high. The price you pay at this hotel is not worth the service you get. Therw was hair in the room on the bed and pillow. I also found hair under the shower. So, the cleanliness in the room at very poor level. They do not offer bed and breakfast, but I think it would be better to have it as the food at the buffet dinner is very bad. Mostly cold and tertiary - at least for me a big disappointment for a 4 * hotel. The only bright spot of the hotel for me is the staff at the reception, aware of customer dissatisfaction and unacceptable dirt in the room. As an apology they provided me with a gift certificate for the next stay. Comparing to Rimske terme, a level or two down.

We have spent a pleasant time on a prolonged weekend in Hotel Sotelia but overall review and experience is average. Clean rooms, friendly staff, eatable food, nice pools and additional interactive programs and theme rooms they offer for kids were not the reasons I wouldn't consider on my returning. It was 4 x 10 stairs I had to overcome twice a day with a fully equipped baby stroller carrying it down and braking by back when going through the underground tunnel that connects hotel and water area. Totally family with little babies unfriendly hotel not to mention disabled people who have no chance improvising in that case. No ramps what so ever, even though there is clearly enough space to install it on a side of the staircase. Sure, there was an option to make an outdoor connection from the hotel to the pools but believe me - rain, wind, and cold on top of a very steep path to the main entrance of the reception would deter any thinking of doing so. For both nights I also had hard time sleeping on a way too soft and very uncomfortable mattresses. I have to say that I were expecting more from a 4 star hotel and 550 euro for two nights with a BF and D. We still might come back one day but only when the kids will be a little bit older and if my feet will have no problems carrying around my own back up and down those stairs.
