Le Clos du Moulin

Top quality place which earlier reviews have described perfectly. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Loads of hot water in spacious shower. Offered a glass of champagne on arrival. We were well looked after by Lea, who gave us some really good local tips and advice and booked us a great restaurant in Reims. Breakfast is very good. Excellent place to base yourself for a visit of the region. And a big plus is that their champagne is very, very good and compares very well with the bigger, better known brands

Home away from home. Amazing little Bed and Breakfast. Only 4 rooms, all with balcony. Room was good size, very clean. Breakfast was fabilous, home made youghurt, home made jams, freshly baked baguette, cheeses. Rachel the owner met us at check in and offered a glas of champagne and then we met her at breakfast where you good get advice on your plans for the day. And they have a fridge with ice cold champagne that you could buy from them, their own production. One of the best champagnes we tasted during our trip in the Champagne region. Hopefully we will get the chance to stay again and then fore a longer time.

We have stayed at this hotel before and like it very much. New and clean with good parking. Well taken care of by the staff. It is located in a very small village so you haave to travel a few miles to find a restaurant. But on the other hand you get a good night`s sleep here because the beds are comfortable and it is very quiet.

This new family owned and run B&B just off the A 26 south of Reims was a lucky find for us. Decent and well-priced accommodation along the A26 corridor is hard to find, but this turned out to be a little gem. We were welcomed by Guillaume, son of the owners, and shown into our spotlessly clean, large room overlooking the village of Vaudemange in the Champagne region. The bed was super comfy, lovely and wide 1.8 metres (king size to Americans and Aussies - a super king to Brits). The bathroom with a large walk-in shower with oodles of hot water was spacious with lots of room for toiletries. We took the evening meal option for 19 euros, three courses starting with fresh asparagus, followed by duck with potato gratin and a selection of cheeses and a raspberry dessert. Fabulous! Breakfast served by Antoine was equally filling and appreciated. If you tell them of your dietary preferences they'll be accommodated. Le Clos du Moulin is perfectly located for a stopover point on the long trip from the UK to the south of France, or to ski in the French Alps. We're looking forward to returning and spending more time in the region including a tour of their caves that Guillaume told us were just 15 metres below us! The main point in these uncertain times is, that we felt "safe" here. I haven't felt that in other hotels we've used in the past year of the pandemic. Highly recommended!
