Ich wurde sehr freundlich von Hotelmanager Omar el B begrüßt. Ich habe dieses schöne Zimmer mit Panoramablick auf Tangiers und auf der anderen Seite das Schwimmbad. Er geht weit für seine Gäste und spricht flüssig Arabisch, Französisch und Englisch. Das Hotel ist bis zu einem Golden Tulip Hotel, aber der Service ist immer noch groß. Als Beispiel brauchte ich eine Top-up-Vorauszahlung für meine Mobilfunk-Internet-Dienste und die Crew ging und kaufte es für mich. Jedes Mal, wenn ich von außen zurückkomme, begrüßen die Türmeister mich und der Manager ist immer auf mich wackeln. Es ist das zweite Mal, dass ich hier mit der gleichen Erfahrung geblieben bin und im August werde ich wieder in dieses schöne Hotel mit großem Personal, Spa und Pool kommen, wenn Sie in Frieden ohne das Lärm von einer besetzten Stadt kühlen können.

Had 2 rooms for the hotel. Average room, rather old. Renovations are in progress thus maybe caused the lack of service, had to wait rather long while checking in and in comparison with other moroccan hotels, no welcome drinks or familiarisation was given. There was no rooftop access for any aerial view despite strategically located next to the wonderful beach and nearby all the main attractions of the city. Staffs were friendly though, facilities and maintenance fell short for that last star.

We really would like to thank you for rhis 3 days with your staff. People in the reception, the staff on the restaurant and bar, allways happy and helpfull. We would like to say a special thank you for Jamila, our room service was amazing, she is very happy, helpfull and attentive, so lovely. Thank you so much for our amazing days with you. Mamora Bay war eine GREAT Erfahrung für uns. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet und das Personal ist oben Par. Wir sind am späten Flug um fast 2:00 Uhr morgens angekommen. Die Mitarbeiter in Mamora Bay organisierten ein Taxi für die Abholung und der Kollege wartete auf uns (dies war nach mehreren Änderungen aufgrund einer Flugannullierung, und die Kommunikation mit dem Personal war rechtzeitig und klar). Die Kosten für den Taxi waren eine normale Gebühr und nicht eine überpreiste Gebühr - nach meinem Cousin, der dort wohnt. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten in ihnen. Jedes Zimmer hatte ein funktionierendes Klimaanlage und die Dusche hatte großer Druck und heißes Wasser. Die Betten waren ziemlich fest, aber ich habe gehört, dass es die Norm ist. Frühstück war wunderbar und wir machten unseren armen Server wiederholt für mehr Kaffee zurück. Er servierte uns immer mit einem Lächeln und spielte sich über unsere Liebe zum Kaffee. Mamora Bay ist GREAT VALUE in einem GREAT PLACE mit GREAT STAFF. Ich empfehle sehr, hier zu bleiben.

When you go somewhere that you really enjoy, you don’t count how many times that you have been there. This was at least my third visit to this hotel, maybe my fourth. But it was my longest stay (2 weeks, during Christmas and New Years). I recently was cleared for International travel after having a very complicated hip replacement. Post Covid, post surgery, I needed to go somewhere that I knew that I would enjoy. The Marina Bay did not disappoint. To start, the weather was perfect for winter weather. Sun daily, the panoramic view of shades of blue (my favorite color) was awesome. Since I retired in September 2023,this was one of few times that I could get away and try to answer the question: If I died yesterday, what would I regret that I did not have a chance to do. The answer is still a work in progress, but Tangier was a perfect place to think about the question. Much of the staff was the same incredible crew that I experienced from my previous visits. Mr. Berrada has added a few more superstars. Aya, in charge of guest services started my positive experiences when she messaged me, “We will be happy to welcome you.” I thought that was just normal professional courtesy. But when she said, “I’ll make sure that you have a pleasant stay”, after Covid, surgery, and an ever worsening global situation, I needed to feel like I was going to enjoy myself. One day I had the chance to visit with Mr. Amine Berrada and during a phenomenal 90 minutes plus, he talked about his vision for the hotel and the quest experience that he is shooting for. Before we finished Aya came in and we all talked for at least another half hour. Before I forget to mention something really special, my plan for the holidays was to get away and think. I made no Christmas or New Year’s plans. The first, second and third time that Aya mentioned the New Year’s Celebration that they planned, I thought that I would rather stay alone in my room. Her brother was visiting from outside the country, and I had a few opportunities to talk with him. Finally, I decided to join the folks for the celebration. I would have missed a fantastic evening had I chose not to attend. The multi course meal, the entertainment (a soulful singer & flamenco dancers) provided for and incredible night to remember. Separate subject: The only breakfast that I remember being better was the Atlas Vichy Celestins, in Bouznika. Their weekend spread is truly a must experience. But the daily offering, the love from the staff, etc make the daily breakfast at Marina Bay one of, if not the best hotel breakfast meals that I have ever experienced. Bottom line, my holiday experience at Marina Bay was so enjoyable, that I might finish 2024 the same way.

The Dar Tanja was one of the best experiences while we were in Tangier!! Beautiful pool..great open space in the bedroom with the most incredible patio! We loved it. The staff was sooooo absolutely wonderful. They helped us with everything, right down to our drinks by the pool. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Tangier.
