Mahua Kothi Bandhavgarh - A Taj Safari Lodge

Unsere Zeit im Mahua Kothi war ein wahrgewordener Traum! Ashish war ein ausgezeichneter Führer und hat uns geholfen, die Bäume, Vögel, Blumen und andere Naturwunder um uns herum zu verstehen. Wir haben zwei Tiger gesehen, was unglaublich war (vor allem, weil sie ganz in der Nähe unseres Jeeps waren). Das gesamte Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und es war eine Freude, in seiner Nähe zu sein. Die Abendessen unter den Sternen, unter dem Bambus und draußen auf dem Feld waren unvergesslich. Ich wäre gerne eine Woche geblieben, nicht nur die drei Nächte, die wir dort verbracht haben.

Meine Eltern (Mitte 60) und ich (Mitte 30) hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt im Taj in Bandhavgarh. Das Beste war das Personal und wie sehr sie sich bemüht haben, es zu etwas Besonderem zu machen. Sie haben uns das Abendessen in verschiedenen Teilen des Hotels serviert, sodass wir unterschiedliche Erfahrungen machen konnten. Die Zimmer waren schön und gut gepflegt. Das Personal, einschließlich Keshu, war sehr bemüht, uns zufriedenzustellen. Wir hatten einen großartigen Safariführer namens Ashish. Die Safarifahrten dauern viel länger als bei anderen Safaris, an denen ich teilgenommen habe, und Ashish ließ die Zeit wie im Flug vergehen, indem er auf alle unsere Fragen einging, die Tierwelt und die Pflanzenwelt erklärte und uns so viel oder so wenig über die Vögel beibrachte, wie wir wollten. Das Essen war auch lecker und der Chefkoch (ich glaube, sein Name begann mit einem R) war interessant im Gespräch und wollte, dass wir eine schöne Zeit hatten. Im Park haben wir viele tolle Tiere gesehen und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Wir haben hier wie auch in anderen Lodges Tiger gesehen, aber unsere Erfahrung im Taj war die beste, weil das Personal so wunderbar war.

Die ***mhütten waren fantastisch, allerdings kein WLAN, aber sehr ruhig und gut ausgestattet. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und es lohnte sich, diese wilden Tiere in ihrem Lebensraum zu sehen. Die Leute sind wunderbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Ich kann den Besuch jedem, der Tiere liebt, nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Best place for staying and exploring nearby tiger safaris. The whole staff is so well ***nered, they make you feel you are the most important person to them. The cottages are super luxurious, with all the amenities. Housekeeping is super efficient. Every time you go out, when you are back, your cottages are done up, special thanks to Bholaram and team, the team who was taking care of housekeeping The food served was all so yummy, the local delicacies, including the pickles,are served with a smile. Chef Rahul and Chef Nassir and Chef Sanat left no stone unturned to see that the best food is served in best of the ambience and environment Bonfire dinner and poolside candle light dinner were so beautiful, unforgettable experiences. Thank you Nilesh, Brijesh, Pramod and Rampal Ji for facilitating everything possible. We came back with an experience of a lifetime. The Taj group has lived up to and has exceeded our expectations in Mahua Kothi, Bandhavgarh. Rajkishore ji is an exceptional naturalist who took us to our three safaris and we were able to have a memorable and exciting tiger sighting, unforgettable experiences. We stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is "slightly rustic" but fits in nicely with the jungle location. The room was comfortable and is well equipped - the lack of a television was not an issue but perhaps the ***agement would give consideration of providing internet access in the rooms. The house keeping was excellent and the room was cleaned and refreshed every time we went out. All the staff were friendly and helpful but some stood out and need to be mentioned. Munshi and Promod who are the butlers were caring and welcoming. They ensured that we were always comfortable and safe. Chef Rahul produced some superb food and always ensured that our palates were catered for. Bhola Ram is a very good waiter and ensured that we were well fed - sometimes too well fed! Priyanka, the naturalist is clearly passionate about the jungle and her enthusiasm kept us going through 4 safaris. She got us two tiger sightings - one of which is probably the best we have had in our very ***y visits to the Indian Tiger Reserves. Apart from the tigers she kept us well informed of the flora and fauna of the forest- her knowledge is remarkable. Like all organisations the ethos of the place is directed by the senior ***agement and Brijesh Saklani has certainly achieved this. He had a very visible presence and spent a lot of time interacting with the guests. We did have an issue during our stay but he dealt with it - showing empathy and understanding. Things do go wrong at times but it is how these are resolved that is important and for that we are grateful All in all it was an excellent stay and we will certainly be happy to return.

We, group of 8 family members, stayed at Maha Kothi for 3 nights, end of Jan,2024. This was the first time majority of us had stayed in a Taj Safari property and we were simply blown away by the warmth and service of the people there. We were welcomed by all the primary staff on arrival. Chef Rahul, Sanat and Ramsw***p took care of all our dietary needs and pampered us with delicious dishes. We were surprised with awesome birthday cakes as 3 of us celebrated birthdays during our stay there. Keshu, Pramod, Munshi and Bhola were the butler team assigned to help us and were there every time we needed anything. We had 4 kutiyas and the housekeeping staff did a great job of cleaning,maintaining, drawing baths etc. They were our invisible helping hands. Our rooms were decorated to mark our birthdays. We were provided hot water bottles and blankets for our morning safari which was welcome as it was quite chilly. Our naturalists were Anurag and Priyanka and it was very evident that they were quite knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. Although, we didn’t spot any tigers, we spotted other animals and birds and it was an enjoyable safari each time. A few of us used the SPA facility for massages and the local masseuse were really good. Kanchan ( front desk) and Brijesh (***ager) coordinated it. The campus is serene and we spent some hours relaxing in the veranda, playing games by the fireplace. Each night, the dinner was set up in an outdoor area that was kept a surprise. This really was highlight of our stay. ***y thanks to all the staff for making out stay memorable!! Special thanks to Brijesh for providing us with extra car for our journey back to Jabalpur.

We stayed at Mahua Kothi for four nights. It’s a lovely property on the outskirts of Badhavgarh National Park and brings you very close to the nature. This was our first stay at “Taj Safari” resort (while we have stayed at multiple Taj Hotels). The hospitality is at par with any other Taj properties. Our room was aesthetically made to feel like a traditional hut but at the same time it had all the modern amenities. We had electric blankets to keep us warm through the night (with hot bottles placed inside for add-on comfort – a lovely gesture!). Despite in the middle of the jungle the rooms were spectacularly clean and tidy and housekeeping service were top notch (and more than once a day). Our room also had a nice sit-out for soaking the sun in the morning and appreciating the nature – while in the evening the sit out was lit with nice lamps around to take you back in time. We enjoyed the experience curated by the chef with dinner for every night – while it was always under the open sky with shining bright stars every time the venue was different. Given the setup for dinner was outside, we were comforted with the fireplace set next to our table. The staff took extra care to ensure our stay is pleasant – kept us engaged during the meals – and ensured that they serve as per our palate and preferences. We would like to specially mention the services of Sanat Kumar, the Chef and Munshi, our server – for making our stay all the very special. Our safari experience was great – to begin with our guide, Priyanka, was an experienced one. She had an eye for spotting animals and birds in the wild. While we could not spot a tiger (which was bit disappointing) – however, getting to explore nature and drive through the forest is a wonderful experience which we have taken back home. Often for our safaris the staff would greet us when back and would help us with nice hot ginger lime and honey concoction and later place a cute little bar next to the fire place (while we wait for our dinner). Overall, a great stay made special by bunch of attentive, professional and hardworking people at the resort who are committed to ensuring that the luxury in a midst of jungle is not an impossibility. Should one experience this – absolutely. Is it worth the money – a full 100%. Will I go back – oh a big yes to that. Thanks Taj, once again, for creating this wonderful experience for us – to which you have bought our loyalty forever.

The staff at Mahua Kothi make the stay memorable. The warmth, personalisation and hospitality is par excellence and unmatchable!! I highly recommend this place for anyone going to Bandhavgarh!! Taj at its best!!
