I had spent ages googling “ Luxury Christchurch Accommodation”, and time and time again, Dyers House came up. We booked the garden room. Check in was warm and easy - Barry and Angela met us at the front door, and instantly made us feel like very special guests. As we were shown to our room, the scent of fresh flowers wafted thru the house. This historic home has been renovated with no expense spared, and so many special touches, I’m sure I will forget to mention some. Our room and bathroom were HUGE! The bedroom had elegant and exquisite furnishings, a bed that was divine, and a terrace straight off it where we had afternoon tea as we watched the birds flying around their divine garden ( a garden filled with lilacs, rhododendrons, bearded iris, cherry trees etc.) Beyond the garden lies sweeping views over Christchurch. Back to our room - our bathroom was incredible….everything heated, including the floor. Massive walk in shower, fluffy and soft bath towels, exquisite decor. Breakfast - this literally blew our minds - pastries, muffins, variety of yoghurts, fruit, including rare and exotic…cheeses, cold meats, the list went on and on. Barry made us piping hot coffee, while Angela spoilt us rotten! The hosts - Barry and Angela just love hosting people from around the world, and love spoiling them too. Both have had interesting careers that have taken them all over the globe - they have amazing stories to share, we found them to be caring, thoughtful hosts that could not do enough to make your stay as perfect as possible. The scenic location is worth the stay alone, but given the close proximity down the hill of great restaurants to chose from for dinner, added to the fact your room is divine, the hosts just lovely, and the magnificent breakfast - make this your first and only choice for Christchurch. Oh - and did I mention the afternoon tea? We sat on a private terrace, covered in roses, and ate the most divine gateaux and sweet treats. Shame I can only give them 10/10, they deserve more!

Weil es spät ist, anzumelden. Aber das Hotelpersonal ist sehr gut. Ich weiß, dass wir noch nicht zu Abend essen. Speziell bitte die Küche, uns zu warten. Sonst müssen wir uns schlafen.

This is the second time we stayed here. We found the experience very relaxing and the hosts extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to please us and succeeded in doing so. The room we had was perfect for us. The motel itself is probably a bit dated but nonetheless, comfortable, clean and tidy. The rooms are a good size and contain all that is necessary for a long or short stay. I believe there is a pool although we didn't use it. Outside the gate there is a bus stop for your convenience and a Z petrol station right next door. Plenty of eateries in walking distance. If you want a comfortable stay with very good hosts this is the place for you. Thank you so much to our hosts for all they did for us.

Clean, modern and very comfortable room. For us a great location close to the Railway Station. A walk into the CBD took about 40 minutes but we love walking and we did that every night to access the city centre vibe. Sleep quality was excellent. No noise even though the hotel is on a busy junction, we slept like babies for two nights. We can definitely recommend this hotel.

Das Hotel liegt neben dem chinesischen Konsulat in Christchurch, ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß, was sehr praktisch ist. Das Zimmer fühlt sich aufgeräumt an und hat eine Küche im westlichen Stil. Der Manager an der Rezeption ist Chinese und die Kommunikation ist sehr praktisch.

Dieses Motel ist 'Keine Frills' bedeutet, dass Sie Ihre eigene Seife/Schampoon & Klimaanlage .... Da wir keine Seife genommen haben, mussten wir die Handseife aus dem Bad-Handbecken verwenden, um in der Dusche zu verwenden. Wir hatten auch keine Milch im Kühlschrank geliefert, so ging ich zum Rezeption zu fragen & die Dame sagte, dass sie rausgelaufen waren & dass es nichts wäre, bis zum nächsten Tag !!! .... Nicht glücklich, nicht diese Grundstücke in einem Motel so wird nicht hier wieder bleiben : (

Wir genossen unserem Aufenthalt . Wir fanden den Service sehr freundlich und unterkunft. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber. Die Einheiten haben Klimaanlage. Dieses Motel befindet sich in der Nähe der meisten Einrichtungen. Wir werden hier zurück bleiben. Wir haben den Trans Alpine Zug während in Christchurch gemacht. Das Hotelpersonal führte uns zum Bahnhof und nahm uns nach der Zugreise auf. Sehr wertvoll hier! Wifi ist langsam!
