4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war sehr angenehm. Erstens ist die Lage des Hotels sehr praktisch, nahe dem Stadtzentrum und den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten, was das Reisen sehr bequem macht. Zweitens ist der Service des Hotels sehr aufmerksam und das Personal ist herzlich und freundlich, sodass sich die Leute wie zu Hause fühlen. Die Hotelzimmer sind geräumig und komfortabel und die Betten sind weich und bequem, sodass ich jede Nacht gut schlafen kann. Darüber hinaus ist das vom Hotel angebotene Frühstück reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich und bietet eine große Auswahl an Speisen, was voll des Lobes ist. Insgesamt war ich mit meinem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und würde dieses Hotel ohne zu zögern anderen Reisenden empfehlen.

Das Hotel trumpft absolut mit der Toplage, alles Wichtige ist zu Fuss super zu erreichen. Die Rezeption ist absolut professionell und freundlich. Frühstück kann für 20 Dollar pro Person spontan gebucht werden. Das Gym etwas klein und nicht alle Geräte im Betrieb :-( die Aufzüge stark frequentiert, aber war klar über die Silvester-Tage. Die York-Street eher laut.

This is an amended review to highlight the ongoing lack of communication from the hotel. It is fair to say that the hotel had some great things going for it but, sadly, customer support is not one of them. Breakfast was excellent and the roof top Aster bar was a great place to enjoy a cocktail and see some spectacular sunsets. However, the whole thing was let down by extremely lacklustre support from the management down. My wife lost her glasses in the hotel. They are prescription reading glasses in very distinct designer frames and were in a sparkly gold box. We asked at the desk during check out if they had been found and were told that they had not been handed in but that reception would check with the Aster bar, where we believe they had been left but was closed at the time of check out. We were due to be in Sydney again in 4 days and the receptionist took all the details and a description of the glasses and case and said that she would email me to give me an update. Sadly we didn’t hear back. Four days later when we returned to Sydney we checked back at the hotel there was no note against our booking and the duty receptionist said nothing could be done but was unable to confirm if a check had been made in the Aster rooftop bar. I asked to speak to the duty manager and an Irish lady, whose name I sadly didn’t get, came out to speak to me. She was very apologetic and said it was not the normal standard we should expect from the hotel and promised to speak to the Aster staff and that she would get back to me by email before the end of the day. Sadly, no further communication was forthcoming and a follow up email to the hotel remains unanswered. We realise that the loss was our fault but the lack of interest from the staff and unfulfilled, empty promises from the management would definitely deter us from staying there again. It would appear that the management have no interest in fostering customer satisfaction.

Lovely location but can be very busy, which mean you will not get an early room check-in or late check out .Also the room service is not existent. You need to pay for them to deliver meal to the room . That’s very disappointing

Der Check-in-Service könnte besser sein. Ich habe dieses Zimmer in 2 verschiedenen Buchungen (auf 2 Plattformen) gebucht, da es Änderungen an unserem Flugplan gab. Und die Buchung wurde unter dem Namen meiner Mutter als Hauptgast und drei weiteren Personen als anderen Gästen vorgenommen. Als wir zum Einchecken im Hotel ankamen, bestand das Personal darauf, dass wir die Kredit-/Bankkarte des Hauptgastes als Anzahlung vorlegen. Ich durfte meine Bankkarte nicht für die Anzahlung verwenden, da sie sonst das Recht hätten, uns den Check-in zu verweigern, obwohl ich erklärt hatte, dass meine Mutter ihre Bankkarte nicht dabei hatte, da wir ihre Ausgaben in Australien übernehmen, und ich ihnen auch den Check-in-Coupon von der Plattform mit der Bestätigung der vollständigen Zahlung gezeigt hatte. Sie AKZEPTIEREN KEINE Bank-/Kreditkarten anderer Gäste als Anzahlung, auch wenn die Namen auf dem Buchungsbestätigungsvoucher stehen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatte das Personal nicht die Absicht, uns bei der Lösung dieses Problems zu helfen, sondern bat uns, uns selbst in der Buchungs-App einzurichten (wo zu diesem Zeitpunkt die Änderung der Gastnamen in der App nicht mehr erlaubt ist). Nach fast 20 Minuten Kampf mit der Plattform-App, die wir immer noch nicht lösen konnten, und nach einigen harten Verhandlungen mit dem Personal stimmte er schließlich zu, uns beim Einchecken meine Bankkarte zur Zahlung der Kaution verwenden zu lassen. Dies ist das erste Mal, dass ich auf eine solche Regel stoße, die NUR die Bankkarte des führenden Gastes zur Zahlung der Kaution verlangt und keine Bankkarten anderer Gäste zur Zahlung der Kaution akzeptiert. Ich hoffe, das Hotel kann diese Regel auf seiner Einführungsseite deutlich darlegen, um ähnliche Umstände in Zukunft zu vermeiden. Im Allgemeinen ist es ein guter Aufenthalt mit einem guten Preis für die Lage und die Annehmlichkeiten dieses Hotels. Leicht erreichbar mit Straßenbahn und Zug. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar.

Unser Aufenthalt in Kimpton ist insgesamt erstaunlich! Gute Gastfreundschaft, Sauberkeit, gute Front Desk Services, schnelle Ein-/Auscheckung. Zimmer ist sauber und wunderschön, haben das Zimmer iPad für uns zu wählen Einrichtungen, Zimmer yoga Klasse und etc.. Liebe die Minibar, Schuhe und alles in Kimpton! Sicherlich kommt. Zurück

Everything went well. We were provided with the twin bed room as specified in our booking, with no unexpected surprises like being given a king bed, which we did not want.. Stayed for 3 nights. Amenities were of good quality. Service was not bad, was attended to immediately at the entrance by the bell boy who handed our luggages with enthusiasm. Was also allowed early checked in as our room was ready when we arrived.

Das Hotel war annehmbar, aber die Aussicht war nicht so angekündigt. Wir buchten ein Zimmer mit einem Darling Harbour-Aussicht und zahlen dafür zusätzliche, aber niemand erwähnte, dass es Bau direkt vor unserem Balkon passiert. Wenn Sie ein Zimmer mit Blick wollen, empfehle ich dieses Hotel nicht.

It would be great if the toilet can be larger. The hotel is located in Surry Hills, which is quite convenient. Service is fine. Its just that you have to check-in and check-out by yourself. Facilities? They have a restaurant and bar. Nothing nice to watch in the TV. Cleanness i ok. I can see it is renovated.
