Stayed at the Crowne recently for a couple of conferences and is what I have come to expect from Crowne Hotels. The first time was a corner room on 6 that had been fully renovated. Room was big and spacious, bed was comfortable as and the bathroom was small but modern. Second stay was a normal room on 4 that had not been refreshed. Bathroom was a little dated and shower head wasn’t the best. But again the room was a good size and the bed comfortable! On-site breakfast was a full buffet and gave a full range and fresh coffee! Would stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our visit to Sydney for the NYE celebrations. Hotel is very easy to access with the L2 light rail directly opposite the hotel taking you right in to the CBD. But because it’s a bit further out in Randwick, the price is much more affordable, especially on NYE! Even on NYE we had not trouble getting in and out of the CBD and was very easy. Also not far from the airport so an Uber was pretty cheap for a flight home. Our room was the first one as you enter the hotel. There is no soundproofing, so we heard everyone coming and going and conversations in reception. We could also hear the toilet being flushed above and even the pedestrian crossing beep outside. Therefore, I would definitely request a room at the rear. Apart from the noise, everything else was good. The room was spacious for 3 adults, with comfy beds and decent shower. Tea/coffee and fridge, iron and hairdryer in room. Large TV and good WiFi. There’s a communal kitchen with laundry facilities if you need it and a lovely courtyard area for chilling out. We had a daily room service and towels changed each day. Location is good with plenty of choice for eating locally and 15-20 min walk to Coogee beach. I actually walked from the hotel to Coogee and then on the coastal path to Bondi and back, which was excellent. We would stay again, but not in the same room due to the noise.

Beautiful building, great location to Randwick racecourse. Rooms were clean and tidy. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Great communication leading up to stay as well. Undercover parking available but our car wouldn’t fit (too high) so they accommodated us by allowing us to park in the driveway. Easy to access after hours. Comfortable bed. No plug in the bathroom at all, take an extension cord with you if you plan on staying here and you use an electric shaver, there’s a mirror in the room that you can to use for hair straightener etc. Some rooms have private bathrooms for extra money so be sure to check before booking - we had a private bathroom. Clothes hanger was directly above the tea/coffee/kettle so hanging a dress and a suit was awkward if you plan on using tea/coffee area. Can hear other guests moving around during the night, especially as our room was next to the shared bathroom, hubby woke up the first night to someone throwing up! It gets very noisy during the night, walls are thin. Hot water in our bathroom took ages to warm up, a lot of wasted water. Tea and coffee provided but I’m not an instant coffee drinker so if Coffex instant coffee isn’t to your taste then byo. The exhaust fan in our bathroom wasn’t working so the tiny bathroom got steamy very quickly so had to open the window. The shower itself is super small as well. But all toiletries (shampoo conditioner and body wash) provided. If you are looking for somewhere to stay to go to the races then this place is very suitable. We walked which took 20 minutes at a casual pace but you could cross the road and jump on the light rail up to the next station if you didn’t want to walk.

Als mein Partner und ich das Elysium näherte, waren wir sofort von der Großheit des Hotels gelockt, in einer Atmosphäre der Ruhe, einer ruhigen Oase in der zerstreuten Stadt. Unser Aufenthalt war nur ein paar Nächte, aber jede Minute dort war in reiner Freude gehärtet, hinter uns mit unvergesslichen Erinnerungen. Die Wärme, mit der wir bei der Ankunft begrüßt wurden, war nur der Anfang unserer charmanten Reise. Trotz eines bemühten Wochenendes ging das Personal über und darüber hinaus, um unseren Aufenthalt komfortable und hartnäckig zu machen. Ihr wahres Interesse an unserem Wohlbefinden, mit ihrer Aufmerksamkeit auf die Details, machte uns wirklich gespannt. Unser Zimmer, ein ruhiger Garten, war geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit modernen Einrichtungen mit subtilen Tönen der Eleganz gemischt. Eine schwebende Aussicht auf die Stadtlinie gegen die Sonneneinstellung aus unserem Fenster war einfach zu schmeißen, und hinzugefügt eine zusätzliche Schicht von Zauberei zu unserem Aufenthalt. Die Sauberkeit und die ruhige Atmosphäre des Zimmers waren zweit bis neun, die zu unseren ruhigen Nächten beigetragen haben. Abends gehen wir in den ruhigen Gärten des Hotels, mit dem weichen Fleisch von Blumen gefüllt, näher an die Natur und einander. Inzwischen erhöhte der elegante, ruhige Spa mit seiner Vielzahl von rejuvenierenden Behandlungen unseren Aufenthalt weiter. Unsere Erfahrung bei The Elysium war in der Tat eine magische Flucht, die noch besonderer war, weil wir diese wunderbaren Momente gemeinsam teilen. Es war ein erfrischender Bruch, eine Chance, von der Welt zu entbinden und wieder miteinander zu verbinden. Unsere Erinnerungen an diesen Ort werden in unseren Herzen gedreht, so dass wir wünschen, wenn die Chance auftritt, zurückzukehren. Wir verließen das Elysium mit schweren Herzen, aber mit dem Versprechen eines zukünftigen Besuchs. Es war mehr als nur ein Hotel, es war eine Erfahrung, ein schönes Kapitel in unserem Leben, dass wir glücklich überprüfen würden.

I enjoyed my stay in Stamford, which I stayed 1 night for taking morning flight. Staff are helpful and friendly. There is restaurant in the hotel, which allow me to eat without needing to go out, which is convenient. I ordered something from the grill for dinner, which is nice. Booking the shuttle from hotel to airport is easy and car arrived punctual. Stamford has all the elements I have expected as an airport hotel, will consider to stay again for my should I need somewhere close to airport.
