There was also a large variety of breakfast options to choose from. The gym could get a bit crowded during peak hours, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience.

AAnonymer BenutzerI had a very enjoyable stay at Meliã Yangon and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The hotel is located in a peaceful area by Inya Lake, offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere away from the busy downtown traffic.
The rooms are modern, spacious, and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The large windows let in plenty of natural light, and if you get a lake-view room, the scenery is especially nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained throughout my stay.
The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any requests were handled efficiently.
The breakfast buffet had a great variety of both local and international options, and the quality of the food was consistently good. The hotel also has great facilities, including a nice pool, a well-equipped gym, and good dining options.
Overall, Meliã Yangon offers a great balance of comfort, service, and value in a calm and scenic setting. I would happily stay here again.

But the entrance is high up on the slope and very hard to reach without taxi or car.

AAnonymous Guest UserEs befindet sich im Botschaftsbereich und nicht weit von der Hauptstraße entfernt. Die Hüblichkeit der Klerus, das Design und die Atmosphäre sind ziemlich schön. Das Zimmer ist auch geräumig und die Bettqualität ist gut. Aber das größte Problem ist, dass es so viele Moskitos gab und ich konnte mich nicht vor ihrer Blutjagd schützen, auch mit Moskito-Gräfin, da es große Löcher und zerbrochene Teile überall hat und jedes Mal, wenn ich gehe, um meine Hände zu waschen, Moskitos waren mir angerichtet. Das Zimmer selbst ist nicht airy und kleine Fliegen kommen von überall, vor allem Toilette und Eingangtür. Als ich zuerst ins Zimmer kam, war das zentrale Fenster breit geöffnet ohne Sasch und das Hotel hat keinen Willen, Moskitos im Zimmer zu entfernen.

AAthi lechumyDas Hotel war sehr komfortabel und machte mich auch sicher und klang, das Essen war lecker und ihre Weinsammlung sind großartig. Wird sicher in nächsten Besuchen wieder in dieses Hotel. Jedes Personal ist so willkommen und warm für alle.

CCC TourWarning: Major language barriers and smoking issues at this new hotel
While this is a newly built hotel, I was shocked by the lack of English proficiency at a 5-star establishment in Yangon. The front desk staff spoke only Mandarin and Burnmese. Ironically, the IT technician was the only person who understood a bit of English, which was the only redeeming factor regarding communication.
Key issues for international travelers:
Language Barrier: Do not expect to use English with the reception; it is primarily a Mandarin-speaking environment.
Smoking Regulation: Despite ”No Smoking” signs in the lobby lounge, guests were smoking openly on the coffee tables. I also encountered guests smoking in the hallways and elevator lobbies on the guest floors. It felt as though I was in China rather than Myanmar.
Dining: The breakfast buffet is strictly Chinese-style. There were no Burmese food or drink options available at all.
Room Condition: My room had a persistent smell of smoke and was full of mosquitoes. This is likely because housekeeping leaves the doors wide open during cleaning.
