5-Sterne-Hotels in Melbourne

Obwohl das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, ist die Lage unschlagbar, der Service ist auch sehr gut und das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut

Während unseres 7-tägigen Aufenthalts gab es einige Probleme. Einige davon wurden umgehend behoben. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, dies bei der Ankunft oder bereits bei der Buchung zu überprüfen. Mangelnde Aussicht: Wir hatten ein Premium-Zimmer mit einem Schlafzimmer gebucht. Auf den Bildern sah es nach bodentiefen Fenstern mit freiem Blick aus, aber uns wurde ein Zimmer im zweiten Stock (im historischen Bereich) zugewiesen. Die Fenster sind nur 1,5 m hoch, sodass man sich auf die Zehenspitzen stellen muss, um die Aussicht zu genießen. Außerdem ist der Lichteinfall gering, da das Badezimmer kein Fenster hat. Weitere Probleme: 1) Die Flurbeleuchtung funktionierte am ersten Abend bei unserer Ankunft um 23:00 Uhr nicht. Wir konnten unsere Zimmernummer vor lauter Dunkelheit nicht finden und mussten die Taschenlampe unseres Handys benutzen. Kein schöner erster Eindruck, besonders wenn man Angst vor dunklen Fluren hat. Der Sensor wurde am nächsten Tag repariert. 2) Das Telefon funktionierte nicht, sodass wir die Rezeption nicht erreichen konnten. Wir kamen mit einem Kleinkind spät an und hängten deshalb ein „Bitte nicht stören“-Schild an die Tür. Trotzdem hämmerte jemand um 8 Uhr morgens an die Tür, um uns zu erreichen und die „Probleme“ zu beheben. Warum konnte man uns nicht einfach einen Zettel unter der Tür durchschieben? 3) Es gab so viele Fliegen – im Frühstücksrestaurant herrschte ein ernsthaftes Schädlingsproblem. Über zehn Fliegen schwirrten um das Buffet und die Tische herum. Nach nur einem Besuch fühlten wir uns dort nicht mehr wohl. Während des gesamten Essens mussten wir ständig Fliegen verscheuchen. Ein absolutes Hygieneproblem! 4) Der Zimmerservice war sehr mittelmäßig. Das Zimmer wurde kaum täglich gereinigt, nur das Bett gemacht. 5) Insgesamt war das Personal freundlich, besonders die männlichen Mitarbeiter im Frühstücksraum. Die diensthabende Managerin wirkte unfreundlich, hatte eine arrogante Art und unterbrach einen ständig. Die Lage ist super, gleich um die Ecke von der Straßenbahn. Werde ich wieder dort übernachten? Wahrscheinlich nicht. Es fühlt sich eher wie ein 4-Sterne-Hotel an, definitiv nicht wie ein 5-Sterne-Hotel.

The customer service was excellent. The location, the food, service, just to mention few. Everything was perfect 👌. Will recommend this hotel 100x to my friends and family. I'll be coming back for sure.

Had a comfortable stay for 3 nights. Hotel about 15-20mins walk from city centre and can pop onto tram in free tram zone. Toilet bowl had a smelly drainage smell which holds presence in the air everytime you flush, was pretty unpleasant.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer haben eine tolle Aussicht, das Frühstücksbüffet bietet eine sehr große Auswahl. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt, direkt am Fluss, nah und fußläufig zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten und zur Tram. Volle Punkzahl! Es gibt sehr viele Restaurants in der Nähe, denn das Hotel liegt in der großen ”Crown”-Mall mit weiteren Hotels, Restaurants, einem Casino, einem Foodcourt ... Das macht den Eingangsbereich des Hotel etwas unübersichtlich und ungemütlich durch viele Menschen und Eingänge. Aber es gibt Übersichtspläne 😅 und eben auch viele Möglichkeiten!

Room service was punctual, meals were presented beautifully, and every staff interaction made me feel genuinely welcome—not just another guest. 🧭 Thoughtful Facilities It’s the little things at Quay West that stand out: • A well-equipped kitchenette in each suite––perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a quick late-night snack. • In-room laundry facilities saved me from hunting down laundromats mid-trip. • The comfortable lounge and communal spaces offer a quiet place to work or unwind. • Gym and heated indoor pool, both kept spotless and perfect for a post-city exploration cooldown.

Auf 24/6 Ich bestellte frisch gefüllte Eier während des Frühstücks, aber die Qualität der Eier war nicht bis zu Standard, York war nicht normal und mit keinem Geschmack überhaupt, aber ich bestellte am nächsten Tag auch mit einem anderen Koch, das war wieder zu einem normalen Ei, Ich frage mich, ob Sheraton diese Qualität der Eier nutzen würde! Eine weitere Meinung ist, dass die Fitness-Zimmerausstattung nicht ausreicht, danke!

Die Lage ist großartig, im Zentrum des Geschäftsviertels, in der Nähe von Chinatown und vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Bibliothek, das Museum und die Kirche sind alle in der Nähe und können bequem zu Fuß erreicht werden. Es gibt viele Restaurants mit europäischer und asiatischer Küche zur Auswahl. Die Hotelzimmer sind sehr gut und das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig. Die Kellner waren sehr nett. Ein Hotel, das Sie bei Ihrem nächsten Besuch in Melbourne unbedingt wählen sollten.

⭐We recently stayed at Stamford Plaza Melbourne and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, making us feel right at home. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel's central location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore Melbourne's restaurants, shops, and attractions. What truly made our stay special was the outstanding customer service. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Thank you to the entire team at Stamford Plaza for your hospitality and attention to detail. We stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day. The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel. For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.
