4-Sterne-Hotels in Muscat

I don't think our floors were cleaned even once during our 5-day stay at the hotel. The bedsheets haven't been changed too. The housekeeping staff had been reusing the same towel for the bathroom floor for the whole five days, and by the end of our trip it was looking really dirty. The other big issue is noise. Our room was on the third floor and the windows were facing the cafe down below, where they kept blasting music until up to 2am. The dinner buffet, for some reason, only had plain water as a drink option. I don't think that providing at least some soft drinks or juices is that expensive for a four-star hotel that is a part of the Marriott hotel chain, especially for the price of 11 OMR per person. On the positive note, the hotel personnel were exceptionally nice and helpful, and they completed all of our requests in a timely manner. We also found the interior design to be quite pleasant. The blackout curtains in the room did an excellent job at blocking out the bright sun in the morning. The pool is really good as well.

From checking in to checking out it was faultless. Brilliant hotel, great facilities, great food and awesome customer service! Room was perfect Gym was perfect Pool was perfect Breakfast was amazing Coffee bar/ reception area and outside sitting area fantastic. Also 2 fantastic restaurants outside but attached to the hotel and 4 brilliant coffee shops one of which is a Starbucks and the only one I didn’t visit. Without doubt I’d stay here again. 10/10 especially for what I paid.

Viele Geschäfte und Restaurants befinden sich in der Nähe des Hotels, sehr praktisch. Die Qabus-Sultan-Moschee ist fußläufig erreichbar. 😆 Das Zimmer ist sehr groß und verfügt über eine Küchenzeile mit grundlegender Küchenausstattung und einem Wasserkocher. 👍🏻 Die Schalldämmung des Zimmers ist jedoch extrem schlecht. Durch die Tür zum Nachbarzimmer konnte ich das laute Weinen des Babys deutlich hören und bin um zwei oder drei Uhr morgens aufgewacht. Auch in der folgenden Nacht schrie und weinte das Baby ununterbrochen. Ich vermute, es war die gleiche Familie. Die Eltern hörten nicht auf und ich hörte sie immer noch laut lachend mit dem Baby spielen. Es war bereits Morgen, sehr rücksichtslos und rücksichtslos gegenüber den anderen Gästen. 😡😡 An Schlaf war durch das anhaltende laute Weinen nicht zu denken. 😡 Ich rief an der Rezeption an und beschwerte mich über die Lärmbelästigung durch das Nachbarzimmer. Ich bat um ein anderes Zimmer, aber mir wurde gesagt, dass das Hotel ausgebucht sei und ein Zimmerwechsel nicht möglich sei. Ich solle mich erst am nächsten Tag darum kümmern – eine sehr oberflächliche Vorgehensweise. 😡 Nach nur zwei Nächten konnte ich nicht schlafen. Eine extrem schlechte Erfahrung. sollte aktiv nachgehen und das Problem angehen, und nicht so eine kalte Behandlung 😡

My stay at IntercityHotel Bawshar was truly wonderful — it felt like a little home away from home. The location couldn’t have been better, with so many major tourist spots just minutes away, making exploring the area easy and stress-free. What really stood out to me was the warmth and kindness of the staff. From the moment I stepped in, the reception team greeted me with genuine smiles, the security staff made me feel safe, and the housekeeping quietly took care of everything so my room was always spotless. Dining at the Gourmet House was a real highlight — the food was fresh and delicious, and the restaurant staff always made me feel welcome, like I was a valued guest rather than just a customer. After long days of sightseeing, unwinding by the clean, refreshing pool or hitting the gym felt like the perfect way to recharge. Overall, my time at IntercityHotel Bawshar was both relaxing and enjoyable. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay with great amenities and a warm atmosphere.

Wir bekamen ein Zimmer mit Blick auf das Kyriad Hotel. Die vielen Klimaanlagen im Außenbereich machten es unglaublich laut und an Schlaf war nicht zu denken. Nach vier Stunden Wartezeit bekamen wir in der zweiten Nacht ein anderes Zimmer. Als wir um eine kleine Entschädigung baten, zum Beispiel ein kostenloses Frühstück für die schlaflose Nacht, hieß es, das sei nicht möglich. Der Kundenservice war also miserabel.

Das Hotel bietet große Zimmer und einen hervorragenden Service. Da ich meinen Aufenthalt kurzfristig verlängert hatte und keine vergleichbaren Zimmer mehr verfügbar waren, musste ich ein Zimmer im unteren Preissegment buchen. Das Hotel verlängerte meinen Aufenthalt in meinem ursprünglichen Zimmer kostenlos. Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen habe ich dieses Mal auf das Frühstück verzichtet, aber ich habe in anderen Hotels schon reichhaltige Frühstücke genossen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Nicht weit vom Flughafen entfernt, etwa zehn Minuten Fahrt. Es gibt einen großen Parkplatz vor der Tür mit ausreichend Plätzen. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, selbst mit einem zusätzlichen Bett noch sehr luftig. Die Klimaanlage ist von Gree und kühlt hervorragend. Vom Hotel aus sind es etwa 700 Meter zu Fuß, circa zehn Minuten, bis zu vielen Restaurants. Eines davon, ein türkisches Grillrestaurant, ist besonders lecker und leicht auf Dazhong Dianping zu finden. Es gibt auch einen großen Supermarkt, in dem man einkaufen kann, die Preise sind sehr günstig und es gibt viele chinesische Produkte. Man muss jedoch mehrmals die Straße überqueren, und da die Autos schnell fahren, sollte man auf seine Sicherheit achten. Der Preis ist erschwinglich, empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel liegt unweit der U-Bahn-Station; vom Ausgang der roten Linie sind es etwa 10 Gehminuten. Ich kam gegen Mittag an und konnte früh einchecken. Die Rezeptionistin war sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, und Toilettenartikel sowie Einwegpantoffeln waren vorhanden. Wasser und Kaffee standen ebenfalls bereit; ich war mit der Ausstattung sehr zufrieden. Ich checkte um 4:30 Uhr morgens aus, und die Rezeption war durchgehend besetzt. Eine Uber-Fahrt zum Flughafen kostet von hier aus 50 Yuan und dauert etwa 15 Minuten, was sehr praktisch ist. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen!

Hotel location was great in the middle of everywhere. Furniture was well maintained beds were comfy. Swimming pool was small but my kids enjoyed it. The only disadvantage was staff. We only sow the lady for check in honestly she was polite but no welcoming no one to help with baggage no one in the reception most of the time. House keeping was horrible they don’t change linens even it was dirty and torn. I had to call them to change it. The carpet was wet and they didn’t do anything even they don’t clean tables. Price was reasonable for the location only and having connected rooms was great for my children.

Generally good stay over, however just a few small things. All the staff were lovely, the king size bed was very comfortable and the rooms were spaciously sized. However twice with room service we were left without towels in the room, as well as other bathroom amenities (we ended up only receiving one towel for two people, miscommunication?). When we also asked to do laundry and requested a quote sheet to see how much it would be, staff were unable to answer. Instead we were given a blank sheet of paper to write down all our items. It ended up being quite expensive and we were requested to pay immediately on receipt of laundry rather than at check out (mind you, same day turn around of laundry). Staff were again great- just a few policy practices that could be refined.
