4-Sterne-Hotels in Muscat

I don't think our floors were cleaned even once during our 5-day stay at the hotel. The bedsheets haven't been changed too. The housekeeping staff had been reusing the same towel for the bathroom floor for the whole five days, and by the end of our trip it was looking really dirty. The other big issue is noise. Our room was on the third floor and the windows were facing the cafe down below, where they kept blasting music until up to 2am. The dinner buffet, for some reason, only had plain water as a drink option. I don't think that providing at least some soft drinks or juices is that expensive for a four-star hotel that is a part of the Marriott hotel chain, especially for the price of 11 OMR per person. On the positive note, the hotel personnel were exceptionally nice and helpful, and they completed all of our requests in a timely manner. We also found the interior design to be quite pleasant. The blackout curtains in the room did an excellent job at blocking out the bright sun in the morning. The pool is really good as well.

Das Hotel ist super gut, perfekt gelegen zwischen Flughafen und den Must-Sees in Maskat. Service und Frühstück einfach hervorragend, auf unsere Belange wurde sehr gut eingegangen. Tiefgarage ist etwas verwinkelt, aber man bekommt es auch mit einem SUV gut hin. Der Pool und das Gym sind auch hervorzuheben, Hammer Ausstattung und sehr gepflegt alles. Würde jederzeit wieder hin!

From checking in to checking out it was faultless. Brilliant hotel, great facilities, great food and awesome customer service! Room was perfect Gym was perfect Pool was perfect Breakfast was amazing Coffee bar/ reception area and outside sitting area fantastic. Also 2 fantastic restaurants outside but attached to the hotel and 4 brilliant coffee shops one of which is a Starbucks and the only one I didn’t visit. Without doubt I’d stay here again. 10/10 especially for what I paid.

Some things in this hotel was good (for example, food and parking), but some things was not comfortable: 1. Shower cabin is not hermetic and bathroom’s floor was always wet 2. Light switches are situated randomly in the room and you can’t understand logic of their work. For example, you can turn off lights in bedroom from antechamber 3. Elevator card system working badly, it is hard to choose floor you need 4. Laundry is very expensive 5. Every time we asked in restaurant “absolutely not spicy food” it was spicy

Ich komme aus China, das Essen ist nicht gut für mich, und wenn man Mittag- und Abendessen bestellt, ist der Preis, glaube ich, sehr hoch, ein Stück Salat kostet 6,5 RO und ist salzig. Die Entfernung vom Flughafen Maskat zu diesem Hotel beträgt, wenn ich mich recht entsinne, ungefähr 10-12 km, ein Taxi kostet mich 6 RO.

Wir bekamen ein Zimmer mit Blick auf das Kyriad Hotel. Die vielen Klimaanlagen im Außenbereich machten es unglaublich laut und an Schlaf war nicht zu denken. Nach vier Stunden Wartezeit bekamen wir in der zweiten Nacht ein anderes Zimmer. Als wir um eine kleine Entschädigung baten, zum Beispiel ein kostenloses Frühstück für die schlaflose Nacht, hieß es, das sei nicht möglich. Der Kundenservice war also miserabel.

Nicht weit vom Flughafen entfernt, etwa zehn Minuten Fahrt. Es gibt einen großen Parkplatz vor der Tür mit ausreichend Plätzen. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, selbst mit einem zusätzlichen Bett noch sehr luftig. Die Klimaanlage ist von Gree und kühlt hervorragend. Vom Hotel aus sind es etwa 700 Meter zu Fuß, circa zehn Minuten, bis zu vielen Restaurants. Eines davon, ein türkisches Grillrestaurant, ist besonders lecker und leicht auf Dazhong Dianping zu finden. Es gibt auch einen großen Supermarkt, in dem man einkaufen kann, die Preise sind sehr günstig und es gibt viele chinesische Produkte. Man muss jedoch mehrmals die Straße überqueren, und da die Autos schnell fahren, sollte man auf seine Sicherheit achten. Der Preis ist erschwinglich, empfehlenswert.

Generally good stay over, however just a few small things. All the staff were lovely, the king size bed was very comfortable and the rooms were spaciously sized. However twice with room service we were left without towels in the room, as well as other bathroom amenities (we ended up only receiving one towel for two people, miscommunication?). When we also asked to do laundry and requested a quote sheet to see how much it would be, staff were unable to answer. Instead we were given a blank sheet of paper to write down all our items. It ended up being quite expensive and we were requested to pay immediately on receipt of laundry rather than at check out (mind you, same day turn around of laundry). Staff were again great- just a few policy practices that could be refined.

Arrived at the hotel at 5 am for a transit period for next flight. Checked out at 12 noon. The distance fro. The airport was a 15 min ride in a taxi. Used airport taxi and only cost 8 dirams. Check in was fast and team at reception were polite and expedient. Opted for 2 single beds. Checkout was smooth. Managed to get some sleep and a shower. Very clean and tidy. Basic room facility but jist what i needed for my transit. Would use again.

Hotel location was great in the middle of everywhere. Furniture was well maintained beds were comfy. Swimming pool was small but my kids enjoyed it. The only disadvantage was staff. We only sow the lady for check in honestly she was polite but no welcoming no one to help with baggage no one in the reception most of the time. House keeping was horrible they don’t change linens even it was dirty and torn. I had to call them to change it. The carpet was wet and they didn’t do anything even they don’t clean tables. Price was reasonable for the location only and having connected rooms was great for my children.
