Ein fantastisches Hotel, absolut empfehlenswert! Super Lage, direkt neben dem YaYa Einkaufszentrum und Chinatown – ideal zum Shoppen! Strenge Sicherheitsvorkehrungen, sehr sicher und die Zimmer waren extrem ruhig! Die Zimmer waren geräumig und verfügten über einen Balkon, eine Küche und ein kleines Wohnzimmer! Das Zimmer war komplett ausgestattet mit Waschmaschine, Kühlschrank, Küchenutensilien, Kaffeemaschine und vielem mehr. Während meiner über zehn Tage in Afrika habe ich hier die angenehmste Nacht verbracht. Ich habe mir sogar chinesische Lebensmittel im nahegelegenen Supermarkt gekauft und selbst gekocht! Absolut empfehlenswert!

The accomodation is absolutely top range and comfortable and the place has so much to offer. Unfortunately, it appears to be running on auto pilot or poor management. These are the things which really annoyed me: 1. Arriving at night, the signage is not well lit and we struggled to establish whether we had arrived at the right place, especially the security personnel at the gate were not being very helpful. They have never been given any training to help them understand that they are the first point of contact between guests and the residency. 2. We arrived on a ”Jazz Night” but, although I am a jazz lover, it should not be foreced upon everyone. The layout of the dining area is very poorly thought out. There was no maitre d'hotel or someone to direct us as to where we should go if we wanted to eat and not listen to music. Eventually we found someone to help us walk past the music area and squeeze past the tight space to go past th bar to the dining area. The whole layout is kind of back to front. The dining area should be more easily accessible and there needs to be a way to separate the main dining area without getting rid of the dining tables in the music area. 3. The dining area is exposed at the back and there was a strong could draught that night, because the rear part of the dining area is exposed to the elements.

Ich hatte zwei Übernachtungen von Samstag bis Sonntag gebucht, da mein Flug am Montag um 1 Uhr nachts ging. Ich war gerade von einer Safari zurück und total erschöpft. Ich hoffte, mich etwas ausruhen zu können. Leider begann es am Sonntag gegen 4 Uhr morgens mit starkem Lärm aus dem Zimmer direkt gegenüber. Anscheinend hielt sich eine Gruppe in mehreren Zimmern auf, schrie und ging ständig zwischen ihnen hin und her. Ich rief zweimal an der Rezeption an, und obwohl die Rezeptionistin freundlich war und sich umgehend um die Gruppe kümmerte, hielt der Lärm an, und schließlich gab ich den Versuch zu schlafen auf. Am Nachmittag funktionierten dann auch noch Wasserhahn und Dusche in meinem Zimmer nicht mehr. Ich musste erneut anrufen, um das Problem beheben zu lassen, und selbst nachdem es behoben war, gab es kein warmes Wasser. Ich musste eiskalt duschen. Trotzdem hat mir das Essen und das Ambiente des Hotels sehr gut gefallen – die afrikanischen Artefakte in den Fluren und die hohen Decken verliehen dem Ort eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Es ist genau die Art von Atmosphäre, in die ich gerne zurückkehren würde. Aufgrund der Störungen und Unannehmlichkeiten, die ich erlebt habe, werde ich aber wohl nicht wiederkommen, es sei denn, es ist unbedingt notwendig.

What an amazing experience! Me and my wife have luckily travelled to many countries and stayed in a range of hotels and this was one of the most comfortable and welcome experiences. Our first time in Nairobi so we didn’t know too much about where to stay until we spoke to some people. They mentioned the area to be safe and also recommended this hotel as a great way to be comfortable in Nairobi. You have security in entrance and exit and they were super nice. All the staff in the hotel were accommodating and showed us around and had us alll the info we needed. We got breakfast included and stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast was exactly what we needed. You have a range of foods to choose from and I’m sure you’ll find something you like! The food at the hotel is halal which is great for us too. Our room was cleaned and refilled every day and they were respectful and details in their service. We also used the gym which was super great. Enough for you to get a good workout in too. The location is next to Sarit Centre, perfect to access the Masai Market (on specific days) and also shops of all kinds. Big thank you to the team and everyone involved! Will definitely choose this hotel if I’m ever in Nairobi and also one I’d recommend to friends and family.

Die Eincheckung war reibungslos und schnell. Hotel- und Restaurantpersonal sind sehr freundlich, freundlich und flexibel. Die Lage ist bequem - sehr nahe am Flughafen und Stadtzentrum. Das Essen ist brillant - wir reservierten Halbboard und genossen sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen, mit einer Vielzahl von Lebensmitteln auf dem Angebot. Einige Bereiche der Verbesserung: Wir baten um eine Babybett, aber was geliefert wurde war ein alter schmutziger Holzbett mit Erwachsenen-Linen/ Bett - überhaupt nicht attraktiv und fehlte diese Baby-Touch - nicht klar gedacht. Es scheint, als ob das Hotel nicht für Familien mit Babys/Kindern bereit ist! Die Führung sollte ernsthaft denken, die Einrichtungen zu erhöhen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Kunden eine friedliche und erinnerebare Erfahrung haben. So war z.B. die Gummi-Fliesen auf dem Kühlschrank in unserem Zimmer (wir haben ein Exekutivzimmer gehockt!) so schmutzig. Die Landline-Telefone sind altmodisch und einige funktional. Auch die Telefone dauerten zu lange, um zu beantworten, während in einigen Fällen überhaupt nicht beantwortet, und noch schlimmer noch keine Nachfolgeruf zurück. Es gab auch diese störende intermitterende Lärm (wie eine Maschine) um den 11. Stock, die uns nachts schlief. Diese Fragen und fehlende Details entsprechen nicht der Sternbewertung dieses Hotels. Ein großes Hotel, aber eins, dessen Einrichtungen wurden vernachlässigt! Wir können zurückkommen, nur für die Freundlichkeit des Personals und das leckere Essen!

Stayed at Eastland recently. The location is a major advantage—convenient, central, and easy to access key areas, which makes it a strong choice from a logistics standpoint. The staff were polite and generally helpful, which added a positive layer to the overall experience. However, there are some notable gaps that management should address. The absence of air conditioning is a significant drawback, especially in warmer conditions—it directly impacts comfort and sleep quality. Breakfast, while offering a wide selection, lacks focus and quality; more options don’t necessarily translate to a better experience, and refinement is needed. Additionally, the lack of facilities and amenities limits the value proposition. For travelers expecting a more complete hospitality offering, this may fall short. In summary: great location and decent service, but operational improvements—particularly around comfort and amenities—are needed to align with guest expectations.

Overall this hotel was good. The breakfast food spread was amazing and the A-la-cart items you could order at dinner were very fancy and delicious. The staff was friendly and kind (but they often seemed overwhelmed with work). There was a huge walking path in the back of the lot. The grounds were beautiful. The hotel was clean. The gym was small; it included a rack of dumbbells, two or three treadmills, an elliptical machine, and one yoga mat. The water jug in the gym was empty. We wouldn’t stay here again because there are really nice hotels nearby for 1/3 of the cost. Maybe the food variety wouldn’t be as good as Eka, or less beautiful grounds, but Eka was not worth the extra cost. We stayed two nights and the entire time couldn’t see where the $125 a night value was coming from. Sadly, the other Nairobi hotel ratings on Trip are lower, like 3.5. An example hotel is Maison Royale. But if you’re looking for a good hotel just a bit less fancy, go somewhere else.

Schöne Lage. Schöne große Zimmer. Der Zimmerservice ist immer etwas verspätet. Es sollte ein bisschen mehr Auswahl beim vegetarischen Frühstück geben. Eine Sache, die in einem Hotel wie diesem wirklich verstörend ist, ist, dass sie dafür bezahlen, selbst wenn Sie im Hotel auf Ihren Check-in warten und nach Wasser fragen.

Good location if you want to be fairly central with a few minutes walk to plenty of bars. Uber is very efficient and cheap here if you want to travel out. The staff were very good and the restaurant/bar is 24/7 (I believe). Room was lovely. Overall, although I think Nairobi is a little on the expensive side, this was ok. I tried to book again for after the safari but it was more expensive so i went to the Swiss Belinn instead, which was cheaper and the same standard (a little further away but again, Uber and Bolt are super efficient and cheap here). TIPS FOR FOREIGNERS COMING INTO KENYA: 1. Get your currency outside of Kenya, the exchange rate here, particularly at the airport, is absolutely awful - I found them to be offering upto 35% less than the actual rate. 2. You only really need a small amount of cash here - most places you will visit accept card. 3. DO NOT BUY A TELKOM SIM CARD. It is absolutely useless, even in Nairobi but does not work AT ALL on safari. 4. Uber and Bolt are very good here. 5. If you are doing safari and your trip does not include the national park fees (payable in USD), make sure you get those before arriving - the banks and ATMs here are very unreliable if you want USD. 6. Do not pay extortionate hotel prices for laundry - find a local company who will collect and deliver your laundry for a fraction of the price like Smartfua Laundromat. 7. If you go on Safari, try not to sit on the back of the vehicle - it gets VERY bumpy. Have a great trip!

Die Umwelt ist sehr gut, wenn nur einige Wildtiere aufgezogen werden. Das Frühstück ist gut, Frühstück und Abendessen, Barbecue für eine Nacht, um die Show zu sehen, europäisches Abendessen für eine Nacht. Beide sind ziemlich gut. Mittags wird es neben dem Einkaufszentrum gelöst. Nicht zu viele Gäste, geeignet für den Urlaub.
