4-Sterne-Hotels in Chester

we stayed 20-27 Dec: ＞＞＞the good - warm bathroom floor, daytime reception lady's service attitude (the ex-nurse), aircon, downstairs quiet seating area, coffee and croissants in morning, blackout curtains, windows/view of racecourse ＞＞＞the bad - booking error by Roomzzz - they cancelled the wrong dates when i made a change (although compensated us with upgrade thank you), no free parking (and the ringgo app forced us to pay GBP15 for 24 hours for only part-day parking), we had to remind staff about room cleaning twice, the night receptionist was not customer-friendly and also was constantly listened to loud TV on speaker, the bed sheets had some stains on when we checked in see pic.

Great Pub in a good location. A little tlc was required in our room to make it closer to great. Not many plug sockets, all in the wrong places (sorry).  Staff fabulous, food good. Overall 3.6/5.

Erstmals mit einem Übernachtungsurlaub nach Chester. Der erste Eindruck von Hotel einschließlich Lage war ausgezeichnet und ich habe nur einen negativ von unserem Aufenthalt, der bei Abreise an die Rezeption gemeldet wurde. Das Hotel hat ein großes Problem mit Schlafzimmertüren, die schlafend geschlossen sind, jedes Mal, wenn jemand eintritt oder verlässt ein Zimmer, weil sie keine Dämpfer haben, die unsere Nacht und Nacht in unserem Zimmer vernichtet. Das Hotel ist mit einem guten Pool und einem Restaurant ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück kann nur als superb bezeichnet werden, mit unserem Enkel, der es gründlich genießt. Die Lage einschließlich des Parkplatzes war ideal für einen Spaziergang um das Chester City Centre mit einem 100 yd-Wandern bis zu den Hauptstraßen und den Ebenen. Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel für einen Stadtbrech empfehlen und würde leicht für 5 Sterne qualifiziert, wenn sie etwas Dämpfungsgerät / Schließvorgang auf die Schlafzimmertüren setzen könnten.

Das Hotel Oddfellows war einfach, aber es hätte zuvor die genaue Adresse der Wohnung geholfen, so dass wir einfacher parkieren konnten. Es gibt einen Parkplatz im Apartment, aber es ist ein enger Eingang! Apartment 5 war oben und sehr geräumig. Die Lounge/Küche/Dinner war gut eingerichtet und der Tee und der Kaffee verfügbar war sehr willkommen. Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer waren groß, komfortabel und sauber (aber mit wenigen Hügeln für Handtücher oder Coats konnten). Es gibt sogar ein Waschraum. Decof ist wunderschön und die Lage ist großartig - nur von den Hauptstraßen. Fabelhafter Ort zum Aufenthalt.

Das Hotel ist ein wunderschönes altes Gebäude, aber ziemlich modern eingerichtet. Es hat eine Mikrowelle auf der Website. Das Bett war komfortabel, das Zimmer war unspottlich sauber und hatte alles, was Sie während Ihrer Aufenthalt benötigen könnten. Das Personal war freundlich und sehr hilfreich. Sie sind im Zentrum von Chester, groß für Einkaufen, Essen und Trinken. Sie werden sicher wieder bleiben.

Alles ist gut. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, eine gute Lage, Chester ist eine unvergessliche Stadt.

The location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around. In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two. This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby. We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed. In terms of things that could do with improvement: Cleanliness The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection. The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus. Service Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way. Facilities The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side. There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub. Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered. Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

Really clean and tidy room and we had the best night sleep on the comfiest bed. Plenty of tea and coffee. Really friendly and helpful staff. Location was at the Center of Chester which made everything easier to get too. It was right by the shops and loads of places to eat. Self service breakfast with plenty of choice enjoyed everything and hope to visit again.

Am ersten Abend war ich in einem kleinen Zimmer, das stuffig und unentlüftet war, aber nachdem ich mich beschwert hatte, wurde ich für den Rest meines Aufenthalts in einem viel schöneren Zimmer gestellt. Das zweite Zimmer hatte einen guten Blick und a/c. Die Lage ist wunderschön für Chester Centre.
