RRyan GFrom the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Alison and Dave the owners. They were helpful with their knowledge of Chester and provided great recommendations. The guest house exudes charm and elegance, with tastefully decorated rooms that are both cozy and comfortable. The location couldn't be better, situated within walking distance of Chester's main attractions and surrounded by picturesque streets. The attention to detail and personalized service truly made our stay memorable. We can't wait to return to Grosvenor Place Guest House on our next visit to Chester. Highly recommended for a delightful and relaxing getaway!”

We visit Chester every year, and have stayed with our children in many hotels and guest houses over the years, even the Grosvnor at 5stars. The star system by the AA, is at best misleading, as it's all about physical deliverables such as bar, lounge TV in all rooms etc. So it's unbalanced, and the service is a payable service, so many unstarred can be poor or even better than a top star rating. CHESTER GUEST HOUSE.at 3 star, for us is a very well appointed top tier in it's class. We have seen great improvements in the property and service over our visits. The owner is local and always looks to provide for us and we appreciate the improving service and value for money. I'd say we'll be back next year too. 15m walk to the town on a single path, keep left. Warm. Clean and very tastefully decorated and great hospitality. I'd give 4 star, having stayed in higher locally and Chester House is better for many reasons.

My family and I popped in this evening for a quick drink which then turned into an extra one. The bar was busy and had a fantastic atmosphere the bar staff were friendly and very helpful and are a credit to the pub, we sat down in the area where the band was due to play and after a short time a male member of staff informed everyone in that area that within 30 minutes we would all have to vacate the area which wasn’t an issue he was kind and friendly about it and when the time came we found a different table. Considering we were only initially having 1 beer we ending up staying and even order some lite bites. When the food arrived it was nicely presented and was fresh and hot really tasty and we were all enjoying our bites, that’s when the only issue of the night arouse! Unfortunately one of the staff members ( very young girl possibly a waitress or a kitchen porter) came to collect our plates and picked a bowl and plate up even though we were still eating! I found her to be very rude in her manner(chewing gum and very stroppy) the way she handled herself just picking up plates and moving the side dishes to collect without a thought in her brain about the fact we were still trying to enjoy the food, I even had to ask her to put our garlic bread back down….i was taken a back and shocked. It put a little dampener on what turned out to be an unexpected but really great family night outfit us and slightly but not completely ruined our experience of the pub. We will happily return and hope to experience the great hospitality the bar servers gave us but hopefully if we eat here again the waitress will be on her night off.
