Alles ist außergewöhnlich. Personal, Lage, Ambiente und Sauberkeit. Auch das Restaurant hat eine tolle Atmosphäre; man kann einen anstrengenden Tag entweder im ruhigen Zimmer oder im Restaurant ausklingen lassen. Während Ihres Aufenthalts werden Sie bestimmt neue Katzenfreunde finden 🥰

Ich wurde von einer der Rezeptionistinnen überfallen. Wenn Sie eine Zahlung tätigen, müssen Sie sehr vorsichtig sein und sicherstellen, dass Zeugen in Ihrer Nähe sind und dass Sie eine Quittung haben. Sie versuchte auch, mir einen Aufpreis für ein Privatzimmer zu berechnen, aber ich hatte es online reserviert, das war viel billiger. Insgesamt habe ich 20 Dollar verloren und wurde im Bett im Schlafsaal überall von Insekten gestochen. Für 30 USD hätte ich an einem viel schöneren Ort übernachten können. Es ist schade, dass ich mich in diesem Hostel nicht sicher fühlen werde.

Ich war vom 19. bis 21. März im Ostro. Es war ein wirklich angenehmer Aufenthalt. Meine einzigen Beschwerden sind, dass es keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer gab und die Dusche kaum Wasser abgab. Was den Service aber wieder wettmachte, war die Nachtrezeptionistin an der Rezeption. Sie war sehr freundlich zu meiner Freundin und mir und spendierte uns an unserem letzten Abend sogar ein Glas Bier. Auch die Tagesrezeptionistin war sehr freundlich und begrüßte uns jedes Mal mit einem Lächeln. Solche Gesten sind es, die mich dazu bringen, solche Unterkünfte immer wieder zu besuchen! Personalen mycket hjälpsamma. Rummet perfekt, tyst AC och en mycket bekväm säng, smart TV och en fin utsikt . Jag hade ingen frukost den här gången (har bott här många gånger). Av tidigare erfarenhet är frukosten bra när dom erbjuder buffé, men inte så bra när dom endast serverar meny frukost. Kommer tillbaka.

In terms of space, privacy and perhaps not sharing breaths with everyone,, the pods are still the best option in Phnom Penh. Super wide, the mattress is soft enough and even the pillow was OK. There are four bathrooms that are fine but one wishes the toilets weren't part of the shower area in each cubicle. There are certainly cleaner appearing ones in town. St. 88 is walking distance to the airport bus stop at Kouch Kanong roundabout, so that's another plus.

But good intentions can’t paper over the cracks. My first room was a sauna masquerading as a 9th-floor suite. The AC wheezed and sputtered, utterly defeated by the Phenom Penh sun. No relief, no breeze—just stale, humid air and the creeping realization that I’d made a mistake. To add insult to injury, the Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent, turning what should’ve been a quick work call into a farce. Picture this: me, pacing a narrow corridor, hauling luggage up and down an elevator that demanded its own special key (which, of course, I kept forgetting). A comedy of errors—if only it were funny. Then came the housekeeper—efficient to the point of abrupt, offering solutions that felt more performative than practical. When I finally called Trip.com for help, the spotty connection turned the conversation into a game of broken telephone. (Irony, thy name is weak Wi-Fi.) The staff did relocate me to another room, but by then, the damage was done. Too many red flags, too little charm. I checked out early, still wondering what, exactly, ”The Point” was supposed to be. A lesson learned, if nothing else: sometimes, a fresh coat of paint isn’t enough.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great stay at Grand Elevation Hotel during my trip to Phnom Penh. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food every morning. One of the best things about this hotel is its location — it’s close to the Independence Monument, the Royal Palace area, restaurants, and many attractions, making it easy to explore the city. My room was comfortable and the overall experience was excellent. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Phnom Penh.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit Geschichte und Kultur. Dies ist das Hotel, in dem Sie übernachten sollten, wenn Sie nach Kambodscha reisen. Es ist nicht luxuriös, aber das Hotel ist für einen so guten Preis sehr schön.

Pool is not so clean, Trash aren’t pick up. staff are good and friendly. they have free laundry but the next problem is how to get it dry. i booked for 9nights and just stayed for 4nights. i asked them to help me have a refund for the remaining 5nights. but they kept on telling me they can’t do anything and won’t do a refund. well ofcourse they can if they only want but they take advantage in your change of plans. real PET FRIENDLY
