Clean and tidy for short stay. Though room size is small but good value for money.

The lodge has some history so the facilities is a bit old, but the condition is acceptable, given the price.

Good hotel to stay have free parking. Good location and room very big

Always get a warm welcome at Redwings. The staff are lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants and on the main bus route into Birmingham city. Perfect for a short stay at reasonable prices.

Not a bad stay, location good, service professional and friendly. Room we was in wasn’t great as 305 an attic room but clean enough and bed ok for the price we paid unfortunately due to the person in 306 making such a racket throughout the night as she was drunk and selfish we didn’t sleep well at all and had to be up and out by 6am there was nobody at the reception desk to mention this to, although we had a broken sleep the beds were ok. Would return for one night as price can’t be faulted

We had a 7 night stay here . We booked because of its proximity to a care home we were visiting and to be honest were not expecting much . BUT we were proven wrong . On entering via the nicely presented entrance lounge with easy chairs and TV we were greeted by a very nice friendly female receptionist. The bedroom it’s clear from the decor and colour scheme this was a Premier Inn ,in its former life and a bonus is they also have Hypnos beds so we did indeed enjoy a good comfortable nights sleep . The room and bathroom were immaculately clean . There is a kettle and like Premier they leave tea ,coffee milk for your use . You can get an iron and board from reception if you need . This is an older building situated off a busy main road so we wondered about noise , honestly we heard nothing and had no disruptions to our sleep from outside noise or from room to room ,sound proofing is doing it’s job . There is a pub attached where you can eat and drink and the whole area there are plenty of varying cafes ,restaurants takeaways shops and an Asda all walkable so plenty of choice and something to occupy you shopping wise . Good bus routes to Solihull or Birmingham center. There is good free off road parking . Now the best bit ! The staff , we did not meet everyone but those we did meet were professional whilst be being friendly and accommodating and just that little bit extra which makes a difference . The Manageress A blonde female receptionist and male during late evening time. The maintenance man and his department . And Mary our room lady who does a fantastic job always with a Smile and in Great Style !!! So a big Thank You to all . This is an older building and yes it’s tired around the edges in places ,but aren’t we all at a certain age I know I am ! So bear that in mind but cleanliness is not compromised ,this a smaller exceptionally well run little place ,we wish you all the best for the future and hope this little GEM remains . Again thanks for a great stay ,will definitely be back , The English couple from Greece.

We always go to a rival hotel chain, but this time we tried the travel lodge at solihull, it was far better than we expected, the staff were wonderful, helpful and always have a smile, we stayed 2 nights , slept well and the food was excellent.whenever we go back to brum we will always stay here, we cant praise them enough. they even have their own bar. What else do you need.

Great budget hotel, was actually amazed at the quality for the price I paid. Free WiFi and free parking and the staff on reception were some of the friendliest I have met. Nice decor, comfy bed, large flatscreen tv and tea making facility. Would definitely use again.

Hi we sayed here yesterday like we have many times before. It was comfortable, clean and everyone was so lovely especially Joy as we needed help with an issue and she sorted it straight away. It's close to the bus stop, shops and restaurants also a free carpark. Can't wait until our next visit from Brighton and will definitely stay here. We'll done Redwings 🙂

Chose this hotel as it was nearest to birmingham airport that didn't cost. So easy to find from the motorway. They don't serve breakfast or meals but plenty of shops in walking distance and places to eat. We decided on a dominoes, literally a two minute walk from hotel. You do pay for what you get and it is basic, but for a quick stop off before and early morning flight is ideal. A local weatherspoons a few buildings down if you wanted to have a few drinks too. Would recommend for access to airport and cost

We booked the wrong night, my fault. However the hotel was not helpful in changing our dates at all. It was cancel and loose all our monies or turn up. So not to waste money, we turned up leaving us having to booked the next night aswell for extra cost. Gutted. ANYWAY..... The carpark was great and has a hotel entrance from the carpark! The lady on reception on friday 23rd March evening approx 830pm ish was a delight. So kind, calm and friendly. The hotel was all in order and apart from a small bit of black mould in between the shower doors but the place was immaculate. Towels and wash products provided. The room was a little cold but had a wall heater. Room spacious with double and single bed. Unfortunately, we could hear upstairs moving around, talking but at 4am he was literally screaming/yelling. I was concerned he was screaming at someone in the room and was debating calling reception or the police, it was that bad. He woke us all up but he finally settled thankfully. It was frightening as i thought he was very aggressive. Beds were comfy, good size room. Free parking which we love and its joined onto a pub. Breakfast a little bland but with a bit of salt on... job done. We would stay here again but top floor and make sure we dont need to change our booking as i now know, they dont accommodate for that. Tips Stay top floor. number 6 bus takes you to Birmingham town center. £5 family ticket return. Catch it on the same side as the hotel/pub. Get off when you see the fair ground /market and silver bubbly building. (Bullring carpark) The carpark for the hotel is just after the pub, around the back. You punch your reg plate into the machine at reception and it lasts the entire day. They do a kids breakfast. Shops in walking distance Take a fleecy blanket in winter Enjoy
