Hotel Casa Gerardo

Our second stay at Casa Gerardo. There are only a few places that I visit that I would like to return to again & again. Ischia, Sant' Angelo, and Casa Gerardo are on that very short list. The setting, the hospitality (cocktails on the upper patio is one of my most favorite), the lovely breakfast, Giuseppe assisting with transportation (shout out to Giovanni picking us up at the ferry at Ischia Porto & driving us to Ristorante L'Arca & driving us back to the ferry) Giuseppe recommending restaurants & making sure we had everything we needed. Being able to walk to the beach at Cava Grade, Sant' Angelo, & Maronti, hiking Mount Ipomeo, and enjoying everything the island has to offer, while being close enough to stroll into Sant' Angelo for dinner all make the hotel perfect for a vacation destination.

This place is an absolute gem. The views are spectacular, and it's situated in a little corner of Sant'Angelo that's just a short pleasant walk from the bustling centre which is nice to have closeby but would have been too touristic for me to enjoy staying in the middle of. Breakfasts include little bits of care, like cakes baked by Guiseppe (more on him later) or figs that Guiseppe procured from a friend's tree. We also enjoyed midnight swims on the empty beach about 200 metres, including a long staircase, from the place. Guiseppe, the host, is also a completely lovely person-- graceful, funny, interesting to talk to, and was very resourceful in helping us plan our trip. If he didn't own a hotel, I would have tried to convince him to travel on with us when we left!

Casa Gerardo is 3 star hotel with 5 star+ views and hospitality. It 's located in a the quiet hidden niche of Sant'Angelo, but very well connected to bustling areas of Ischia via road and public transport; in fact, there's a bus stop just outside the hotel. Giuseppe, the host, is the best I've ever met so far on my travels. His guests just keep returning, and I am going to be one of them. I met guests who have been returning there for years during my stay. The hotel is a pleasant walk to the centre of Sant'Angelo; has a cove beach located nearby; and a thermal spa centre nearby too. Breakfasts are generous continental and served on the facility's magnificent terrace. What a way to start the day!

Minimal hotel with everything you need to enjoy the beauty of Ischia. Guiseppe will make your stay special, helping in any way he can and serving you drinks as you gaze across the bay in the evening. A nice thoughtful breakfast served every morning too. Altogether a hidden gem, with a stunning cove/beach a two minute walk away and the buzz of the town just a ten minute stroll.

Per la mia prima volta ad Ischia non potevo trovare location migliore per vista spettacolare, struttura funzionale, pulita, titolari e personale disponibili e affidabili. Il b&b è vicino a Sant'Angelo che è un paese accogliente. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Posto stupendo , vista favolosa , pulizia , ma soprattutto ambiente famigliare con Giuseppe , il Gestore capace di farti sentire tutta l’accoglienza e cordialità che oramai non sono più scontate in una vacanza .

Accoglienza strepitosa, ti senti a casa. Il gestore Giuseppe è quanto di meglio si possa incontrare in un hotel: gentile, ironico, attento e disponibile. Terrazza panoramica mozzafiato, dove gustare ottime ed abbondanti colazioni. Il posto più bello di Sant'Angelo. Davvero merita!

E stato bellissimo. Il propietario molto cordiale. Ogni volta nn vedo l ora di tornaci mi sento come se fossi a casa.consiglio vivamente a tutti di provare questo posto perché e paradisiaco affascinate nella sua semplicità ne sono innamorato
