Sehr geliebt das Hostel. Nur wunderbar! Personal sind nur wunderbare Leute! Der junge Mann kennt Englisch sehr gut! Und sogar viele Worte in Russisch. Gut und responsiv! Die Frau auf der Rezepschnee war auch sehr nett zu mir. Das Zimmer ist sehr komfortabel. Alles ist sauber, die Badezimmer sind auch sauber! Sehr gute Lage und akzeptable Preis. Wenn ich wieder in Selchuk bin, werde ich definitiv in diesem Hostel bleiben. Danke für das gesamte Personal und wünsche Ihnen viel Gute und gute Gäste

Es ist eine kleine Pension auf einer Bergstraße nicht zu weit vom Busbahnhof entfernt. Es wird jedoch mehr als einen Spaziergang sein, wenn Sie aus dem Bahnhof ankommen/abfahren. Die Straße ist auch in der Nacht ziemlich dunkel. Herr Ali ist ein freundlicher Gastgeber, der uns ohne Gebühren nach Efesus ließ. Einige Konsequenzen: Das Zimmer war dunkel und müde, das Badezimmer war klein. Frühstück war auch nur Brot, Jalousi, Tomaten und schwarz Kaffee ... Zum Preis, passable Erfahrung.

I booked a room for 2 people at Boomerang Guest House and paid around our usual price, AUD$45/28 euros a night. Dorm beds were quoted at AUD $19/night. When we arrived at the guesthouse in March 2023,  they said we had booked a dormitory room (mixed dorm) and pointed to some Turkish words on the booking confirmation which,  according to them, said we had booked a dormitory bed for each of us. That was not what was indicated when I went through the booking process, which stated I was booking a room, not a dormitory. The owner stonewalled and said we would have to pay extra to upgrade to a room of our own. That was odd, since the room I booked was the 'last one available' at the time, yet they had at least three spare private rooms. They claim that the problem stems from the fact that they only have a relationship with Expedia and something has gone wrong when they (Expedia) have shared the information with Agoda. At that point I confirmed with him that this same situation had happened before (for months!): he blamed Agoda for using the Turkish words to describe the room.  I said that if this was a situation which had misled people before,  then he needed to be the one to ensure it was fixed. He could easily contact guests beforehand to let them know,  in English,  their reservation was for a dormitory,  until the booking process was fixed. But never did. I contacted him prior to arrival about the check in time but he did not respond (He received the message on WhatsApp via his brother: he made the excuse that the phone number on Agoda is out of date and doesn't go directly to him). Of course, the whole excuse was simply deflection: blame some other third party and avoid accountability. Coincidentally, another person arrived as we were at reception who had experienced the exact same situation. She had booked what she thought was a room for her and her traveling companion but the two young girls were told they were sleeping downstairs in a dormitory with men. Her traveling companion left immediately and the Malaysian girl was left by herself. She booked through Agoda and also felt assured she had booked a private  room.  By then I could see a pattern emerging and thought this could be a scam. Sell a room for a normal price,  then charge more on arrival,  pointing to some Turkish words on the booking which talked about it being a dormitory that we'd unsuspectingly signed up for. When I questioned the owner why the only indication it was a dormitory was written in Turkish,  he said he didn't know and again put the blame on Agoda. I said that given people had been misled even before our arrival,  it was his responsibility to ensure changes to the wording were made. What made it even more suspicious was that when I took him through the process I undertook to make the booking on the Agoda app,  not only did I show him it clearly talked about booking a room, not a bed and no mention of a dormitory,  there were no dorm pictures shown AND even tonight as

Ich habe dieses Hotel gegessen, das Frühstück des Chefs ist sehr lecker, das Zimmer ist auch sehr sauber, vieles ist in der Nähe zu essen, zehn Minuten vom Landschaftsraum fahren, die Dinge sind preisgünstig Der Trauben, den der Chef lieferte, war sehr düster. Alle können sich sicher vorbehalten.

Çok sevimli, çok güzel, çok sevdik orayı, kahvaltısı da çok iyiydi. Tavsiye ederiz.

Welcome home! Our stay at Agon Ephesus was nothing less than the warmth and hospitality you feel while staying at a friend’s home. Both Serhat and Değer (please forgive if misspelled) are wonderful hosts of their lovely bed and breakfast, which is fairly new! We arrived very late due to luggage delays at Izmir airport but Serhat was the kindest and most welcoming host even at nearly 11:00 PM. He helped with our luggage and getting us settled in. The next morning we enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast prepared by Değer. After a conversation over breakfast, we learned that Değer is a tour guide and we were fortunate enough to have her to ourselves for the entire day. This was perfect for us since we were only staying for 2 nights and only had this one full day to spend visiting the sites. We did this all in the convenience of Değer’s own vehicle. This area is not difficult to visit but with Değer we were able to even go into Şirinçe! A must see place! The personable treatment and comfortable accommodations make Agon Ephesus a welcoming place for your visit in Selçuk! You’ll also enjoy the company of the adorable cats that have found a home here! Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of September / beginning of October and very much enjoyed it. Everything is just right here ! Its excellent value for money, the location is great, the owner Ilker is very friendly and helpful and speaks amazing englisch. His wife (who we didnt met) and his mother in law (who we met, and she is so lovely) are french, so french speaking people like my mother will be very happy. The garden with the pool is fantastic. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, reading, playing games, stroking the cute cats etc. in the garden a lot. Quality time in between visiting or discovering things. The breakfast served on the roof top terrace with views over Selcuk and the fortress is tasty and includes cake and home made jams. The rooms are clean and simple, but with everything you need. Really good shower and a comfy bed. We enjoyed staying in rooms with a balcony. This is not a luxury hotel (but its not luxury hotel prices either ;-)), but its a really great place, and I could not imagine a better place to stay in, when spending time in and around Selcuk. P.S. on a personal note: My mother and myself love animals, and so we enjoyed seeing that cats and dogs (like Romeo) are well treated and feed.
