Wir haben hier zwei verschiedene Zeiten geblieben, während wir in Salvador waren. Ich habe nichts anderes als positive Dinge zu sagen - vor allem das Personal. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und ausgezeichnet und die Lage ist zentraler. Die Zimmer sind dunkel und ruhig mit komfortablen Betten . Die Dusche ist heiß und hat einen guten Wasserdruck. Aila am Frontdesk war so wunderbar. Sie empfahl Dinge und half uns, einige Dinge in Portugiesisch zu buchen, die wir nicht verstanden haben . Wir sind dankbar für ihre Geduld, gute Einstellung und wunderbares Englisch! Mein Mann hat seinen Koffer in unserem Zimmer verlassen und nicht nur, wenn er uns zurückgekehrt war, es hatte alle Bargeld und Inhalte noch in ihm. Sie sind vertrauenswürdig mit den Gästen Erfahrung in den Sinn. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert, hier während in Bahia zu bleiben!

Recepção: foram muito atenciosos e educados, em todos os contatos. Estrutura: a pousada fica em um casarão do com mais de 200 anos. Tudo muito bonito e bem conservado. Tem um terraço da onde é possível ter visão privilegiada do Elevador Lacerda e Mercado Modelo. As fotos publicadas no TA ilustram bem o lugar. Quartos: são amplos e confortáveis. Cama King size. Necessário deixar o ar condicionado funcionando quando sair para que a temperatura se mantenha agradável. TV 32' com canais a cabo. Banheiro simples, porém funcional. Café da manhã: bolos, frutas, paes, ovos mexidos, frios. Tudo de boa qualidade. Só os sucos que não estavam bons (laranja muito ácida e melancia estava ”passada”. Wifi: funciona bem Localização: está a menos de 10 minutos de caminhada do Pelourinho (parte turística) e bem próximo do terminal aquaviario (da para ir à pé, pega do o Elevador Lacerda).

Mein Mann und ich kamen spät in der Nacht um 9-10pm und draußen war ein schwerer Regen und wir waren sehr hungrig leider gibt es keinen Weg, bis zum Morgen irgendetwas zu essen, weil es kein Restaurant oder Zimmerservice war nahe, und Minibar so arm. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption sprechen nicht Englisch, so dass sie uns nicht einmal helfen wollten. Von nächsten Tag, da es Frühstück nur Mahlzeiten gibt, die wir haben könnten, jedes Mal, wenn wir Wasser oder ein paar Snacks brauchen wir müssen zu der Rezeption gehen und versucht zu erklären, als wir versuchten, Zimmerservice und bestellte etwas, aber wieder niemand spricht sogar Basis Englisch und sie machten uns auf dem Telefon zum Witz und lachten. Am Ende befassen wir uns, Caesar Salat und Tapioca bestellt, Salat kam nie, sie konnten es nicht (auch wenn es auf dem Menü) und Tapioca war über gefrierter, verbrannt und voller Öl, so konnten wir nicht essen!!! Da ich und mein Mann über 10 Jahre Gastarbeit haben, können wir ehrlich sagen, dass dieses Hotel ein Witz und sehr unprofessioneller ist!! Nicht empfehlen ALL !!! Airbnb wird bessere Arbeit machen als sie.

The most charming boutique hotel in the heart of Pelourinho! Both the room and bathroom were beautiful and spacious, with a mini fridge, safe (although ours was broken) and large cupboard. The rooms are named after Portuguese explorers rather than the more common room numbers, which was very fitting for the colonial style interiors of the hotel. Staff were so welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast is served at your table - tick sheet menu - and includes various cereals, drinks, bread, cakes as well as Bahian specialties. There is a small plunge pool, which we didn’t get a chance to use. We couldn’t have asked for a better location; we were able to walk through the historic centre, with both the funicular and elevator serving the lower city close by. Lots of eateries and fantastic musical entertainment right outside the hotel - music stops around 10-10.30pm. It is a short walk across the cobblestones to the main Pelourinho square, which pays homage to Michael Jackson who shot a music video there. A (steepish) walk past the church takes you to the rainbow street of San Antonio, with plenty more restaurant/bar options. Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Pros: * spacious clean room * good breakfast opening at 6:30am sharp (doors are locked before then), with lactose-free milk and gluten-free options * okay pool area (no greenery though) Cons: * the A/C was weak, but after running it for one day the room was sufficiently cool (you do need a card in the slot during that day...) * no ”Do not disturb” sign to hang onto the doorknob * the desk in the room was small and very annoying for laptop work (round, glass) * the chairs in the room were not comfortable at all * out of all the staff, only one front desk person spoke English * no laundry facilities * no business room * old slow elevator * window didn't insulate from the street noise that well, but I used 33 dB NRR earplugs to block the noise that came through; there are also many rooms that don't face the street * the front gate didn't open automatically with my key; had to wait for staff to open it; other times it was left open

Geralmente não fico em pousadas. Mas, buscava algo perto de um evento aonde estava, para descansar um pouco, antes de ter que retornar para ele a noite. Não me arrependi. A pousada é simples, mas muito limpa e arrumada. O quarto é bastante arejado e agradável.Ficamos num apto luxo no 2o andar. Não há elevadores, mas fui avisada antes. Sandra, a gerente, fez tudo e um pouco mais para atender as minhas necessidades. Super prestativa. Depois, conheci Natália, a proprietária. Super gentil, também. Voltarei com certeza. Numa proxima vez que tiver algo para fazer no Pelourinho, com certeza me hospedarei lá para passar a noite. Com certeza, facilitará bastante a minha vida. Falaram muito bem do café da manhã, mas não tomei. Não ha vagas para estacionar. Por isso, preferi ir e voltar de uber. Tem restaurantes ótimos proximos.

A beautiful colourful facade reveals an even more colourful, charming and cosy interior. Built in the style of a Mediterranean patio you'll find the rooms upstairs and the common areas with library, sofa lounges and restaurant on the ground floor. Our room faced the small cobblestone street and had everything we needed (bathroom, fridge, AC, wifi). It was calm at night. The breakfast was spectacular. A rich buffet with lots of delicious exotic surprises to the European taste. The view onto the bay was fantastic. Located on a narrow cobblestone street on the northern end of the old town, you'll find most sights within walking range. It's a 15 minutes walk to the escalator with small supermarkets and banks on the way. Down there by the harbour you'll find boats and tour operators to the beaches of Morro de Sao Paulo. If you want to leave the old town you should take a cab. We found the surrounding neighbourhoods pretty dangerous. Pousada de Arts recommends a very nice and reliable driver (Miró) We may want to come back:)
