Le Troncais

Location of the property in a forest and its setting is good. The room was spacious and well fitted out - it had been refurbished since we last stayed in it. We were made very welcome. Our only comment would be the menu was a bit limited.

It's difficult to write a review that accurately describes this hotel. I'll start with the good news - the restaurant is outstanding in every way, truly first-class. It's expensive, but the food is well worth the price paid. Gracious service, and an elegant dining room. As for the hotel - be well-informed if you make a booking. The lowest-priced rooms are in a small building (an old coach-house) adjacent to the main building. These rooms are very small, and relative to the size, they are overpriced by about 25%. I understand that the rooms in the main building are larger, but be aware that they are significantly more expensive than the price you will see advertised on sites such as ***********, etc. That price is for the very small rooms in the coach house. But, although these rooms are very small, they are comfortable and well-equipped. If you only want a place to sleep and don't intend to eat at the restaurant, this is probably not the best hotel choice in the area, even though it is on a very quiet and peaceful estate with beautiful grounds. But, wow, is the restaurant ever good! Elegant French dining at its best.

This really is a delightful peaceful hotel, situated in woodland by the side of a lake. Very comfortable with the rooms furnished to a good standard and a lovely garden to relax in. The restaurant is excellent, a good menu and very good cuisine and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The owner M. Malnou is very helpful and accommodating - and speaks good English. We stayed here in 2019 and were very much looking forward to staying again, although our return was delayed. We look forward to staying again in the future

Most travellers know the story of the German bishop who, on his way to Rome, sent his servant ahead to scout for good places to have dinner, drink wine and sleep. The servant found an exceptionally good inn which he marked with the words Est! Est!! Est!!!. One more "Est" than agreed. Hotel le Troncais is such an excellent stop for anyone who travels through France. Located close to the A71, the hotel offers simple, but clean rooms. After a long day in the car, a clearly marked 5 km walking trail around a small lake allows you to stretch your legs. And the highlight of the stay is the restaurant, serving delicious local dishes prepared to a very high standard. We certainly return when we next travel to Spain

Le cadre est très sympa, de jolies balades, le chef était de repos mais le repas unique un peu cher était correct . Nous avons pu amener notre chien, ce qui est appréciable. La chambre mansardée au troisième étage était bien mais à déconseiller aux personnes âgées car il n’y a pas d’ascenseur.

Hôtel magnifique avec une belle et grande chambre très confortable et joliment décorée avec un très grand lit qui vous permet de passer une douce et agréable nuit. Egalement grande salle de bain avec douche à l'italienne. Petit déjeuner copieux . Quant au restaurant le chef est parfait, il maîtrise parfaitement les cuissons, le goût est là et la présentation aussi, nous avons donc passé un excellent moment dans ce joli restaurant. Tout était top de l'entrée au dessert, alors bravo au chef cuisinier. D'ailleurs tellement satisfaits que nous avons déjà réservé pour un autre séjour . Le patron est également très agréable , c'est ce que l'on attend d'un responsable d' hôtel restaurant mais ce n'est pas toujours le cas. Je vous recommande cet hôtel et ce restaurant sans aucune réserve.

Bonjour, Rapport qualité prix discutable Chambre à 90€ : vue de la fenêtre médiocre, toilette avec des traces, chambre trop petite, finitions passables de la salle de bains comme de la chambre. Petit déjeuner 13€ : vienoiserie, pain, beurre, confiture.. nous nous attendions à mieux. Orange pressée ok, salle agréable. Heureusement la forêt de Tronçais est toujours aussi belle 😎 NB Arrivée tardive possible

Nous n'étions pas revenus au Tronçais depuis quelque temps et c'est avec bonheur que nous y avons séjourné 2 jours et surtout dîné 😋 les 2 menus proposés étaient délicieux, le plat de tajine au poulet succulent, délicatement parfumé d'épices, bref nous nous sommes régalés et remercions le chef pour sa cuisine savoureuse. Juste un commentaire sur le petit déjeuner : invariable depuis que nous venons, pas de produits laitiers ni de salé et de fruits (dommage) mais les petits pains et viennoiseries sont parfaits ! C'est une belle adresse 🤗
