I am writing this review to make future visitors aware that the JW Marriot in Riyadh lied to me about laundry charges, removed them from my bill, then went back and charged my credit card without even consulting me. I recently stayed in JW in Riyadh for a business trip in September 2023. I have stayed there in the past with no issues. The hotel is okay in the sense that the rooms are modern and nice, but the service is always below par for Marriot. The reception is not always staffed or there is always a long line (even at hours when there isn't a checkout rush). The staff almost never understands what is going on or how to fix a problem. When you call for room service or anything, it always takes forever or no one responds sometimes. Most recently, I stayed there and got suspicious that my company laundry allowance was not being recorded in my bill (this is before check out). My company prenegotiated rates for my stay at Marriot, so I get two pieces a day for free. I went to discuss the matter of my laundry with someone in the front desk. After the typical waiting and being told they will review it and get back to me (the front desk person just candidly told me he didnt even know how to check in the system), I go back to the front desk and they assure me everything is fine. The guy tells me he verified in the system that I am receiving my company rate and that I will not be charged. Upon check out, there are all these laundry bills and I complain. They go into the system and assure me that they will remove them from the bill. They do so and I pay my bill without the charges and leave, thinking everything is fine. On my flight out of town, I get a random email from the hotel management saying that I owe a laundry balance and so they charged my credit card! I emailed them back explaining the situation, and that I have stayed there before. They said that at the time of booking they put it in the system not as a company rate but personal, and so I had to pay a week's worth of laundry. Without informing me, they just charged my credit card the full amount. No request, nothing, just auto charged it. Obviously I am going to contest it with my bank. Absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't even just go back and fix it; I've literally stayed there a number of times. Not going back again...

Ich vermisse die Sachen, wenn ich aus dem Laden ging, ging zurück und fand sie zurück. Die Erfahrung ist immer noch gut, es gibt Lärm am Rande der Bauarbeiten, die anderen sind gut. Die Höhenspiegel sehen die Landschaft von Riyadh gut. Bitte beachten Sie, dass das saudische Hotel heute Abend warm genug ist, es gibt kein warmes Wasser am Morgen und es ist alles, was drei Familien tun.

Die Lage ist gut und war nahe meiner Arbeitsstelle, schön und sauber Platz Riyadh ist eine schöne Stadt, wo Sie irgendwo zu besuchen finden, war dieser zweite Aufenthalt und ich kann einige Verbesserung sehen, Frühstück war besser und Hotelreinigung auch ich empfehle den Ort für diejenigen, die lange Zeit mit einem guten Preis zu bleiben brauchen

Ich habe gerade um 7:30 Uhr mit einer voll bezahlten Buchung geprüft, die Dame am Rezeption sagte mir entschuldigt, wir haben nur ein Zimmer zur Verfügung und es (Rauchen) , ich sagte ihr, aber ich rauche nicht , Ich habe keine Ahnung, solange das Zimmer nicht wie Rauch stinkt, wenn es tut, ich will es ändern, sagte sie (auch wenn Sie es ändern wollen, es ist egal, weil das hier das einzige Zimmer zur Verfügung ist) . Ich ging zum Zimmer, weil ich müde bin und es riecht sehr schlecht , keine Fenster oder Balkon. Ich habe sie angerufen und sie schickten jemanden mit Luftfrischmacher. So bin ich buchstäblich gezwungen, in diesem Zimmer zu bleiben ohne weitere Optionen und ohne Güte oder Behutsamkeit meiner Präferenzen. Sehr schlechte Erfahrung seit den ersten 5 Minuten, die ich im Hotel stieg.

I spent 2 nights here. When I first arrived, they gave me a free upgrade, which was nice. However, the location is very noisy. There is a lot of traffic noise. But is also a large construction site next door which had digging noises from sunrise to sunset every day. My room was ok, but the wifi signal was quite poor, and dropped often. On the 2nd day, I returned from dinner to find housekeeping cleaning my room after 7 pm, which is ridiculous. In their rush to finish, they forgot to replace the bath towels that they removed, and left their master keycard in my room. A half hour later, they were knocking on my door to retrieve the key card. This was a minor annoyance, more than anything. The issue that was not minor was how they treated me when I asked if they could print my departure COVID19 test result. At first they agreed, but the print out was extremely poor quality (it looked like a bad photo copy). When I requested that they try a different printer, they insisted that there wasn't one. When I asked where I could go to print myself, they called their manager. He agreed to print in his office (clearly the claim that there were no other printers in the hotel was a blatant lie). I waited in the lobby for the manager to return. After waiting 20 minutes I gave up, and returned to my room. Thirty minutes later they brought a good printing up to my room. This process should not have been so difficult. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked well. The underground parking garage was nice too. I doubt that I will return, when there are so many other options in Riyadh.

Das Zimmer ist ziemlich anständig, schöne Kuchen. Aber der schlimmste Zimmerservice, den ich je erlebt habe. Verbleibt seit mehr als einer Woche und sie ändern nicht Toiletten. Am dritten Tag aus Gewebe laufen und ich musste meinen eigenen Gewebebox kaufen. Auch ist ihr In-Room-Essen-Menü immer nicht verfügbar. Und wirklich schlechtes WLAN, hatte mehrere Male angerufen und konnten es nicht reparieren.
