Min datter og jeg havde en hyggelig overnatning.
Pool, mini golf og en gå tur i parken, hvor vi så karper.
Fin morgenmads buffet.

En fin herrgård med trevliga omgivningar. Det som drar ner betyget är standarden på rummet. Gammal heltäckningsmatta som luktade illa. Fin restaurang men begränsad meny. Ett bra ställe om man vill ha lugn och avkoppling men inte har så höga krav på rummets standard.

Upon arrival I was disappointed by the state of the room I was given. Everything looks and feels so tired and worn, even the paint on the walls seems overdue for a refresher. The first night I booked a table at the restaurant at the reception and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal I ate there - it was excellent. The next day I was surprised to learn that as a staying guest you are not necessarily guaranteed a table at the restaurant. They simply couldn't accommodate me that evening. Why wasn't I told this could be an issue the first night, then I could at least have made reservations in advance or found an alternative place to dine. Now I sit here, at a four star hotel, writing this review, instead of having dinner, and when I finish this I have no choice but to drive into town for a pizza, all the while wondering if I should just go ahead and find another hotel near by for the last night of my stay in Ringsted. Thank you for that experience Soerup Herreegaard.

Not as expected and certainly not like in the "old days" Has turned more into a conference site Rooms not updated and cleaning below average Great surroundings though for a nice walk Food was average but would have benefitted from being served on a hot plate main course)

We stayed in two rooms as the first one was at the end of the corridor and you got disturbed by people using the stairs which were right on the other side of the wall.
It was obvious the rooms were in older buildings which meant you could hear the other guests in corridor.
There was no kettle or tea/coffee things in the room something I would expect 4 star accomodation to have. Reception did lend us a kettle once we mentioned this.
The restaurant serves excellent food at a 4 star accomodation price. HOWEVER there were sooo many flies. I have never seen so many or been so disturbed by them. At both dinner and breakfast within the first 24 hours I had them land in my food. we even found a small fly in the water which the waitress changed for us. Disgusting! I asked reception what they did to limit them as I know it's situated in the countryside. Was informed as they had cows and they couldn't really do anything. They didn't want to keep the doors and windows closed all the time. Poor service and not true. There weren't any fly traps seen anywhere.
