Die Lage des Hotels für Ausflüge ist perfekt. Aber man braucht dringend ein Auto. Parkplätze sind vor dem Hotel genug vorhanden. Das Zimmer war sauber und groß. Das Bad hat ein großes Fenster ins Zimmer, dass man mit einem Rollo aber auch verschließen kann. Das Frühstück war lecker. Abendessen würde ich nicht empfehlen, hier gibt es deutlich bessere nicht weit entfernt. Der Pool draußen ist nicht beheizt und daher kalt. Drinnen ist es eher ein Kinderpool von der Tiefe her. Es gibt noch eine kleine Sauna und Dampfbad im Poolbereich. Die Massagen im SPA waren angenehm.

Es war erstaunlich! Die besten Ansichten und auch ein großer Service. Das Personal war wunderbar sie waren so hilfreich in den vielen Fragen, die ich hatte. Wir haben das Restaurant nicht versucht, weil wir den ganzen Tag aus waren, aber das Rückkommen war schön. Es ist so schön dekoriert und fühlt sich sehr sauber. Wir schliefen jeden Abend gut. Sie hatten auch eine Wasserflasche füllbar für alle Gäste, was hilfreich war, weil wir dann nicht überall Wasser kaufen mussten.

This apart-hotel complex is absolutely beautiful, flowering bushes everywhere with a lovely scent. Our apartment was large and airy and had a great private terrace on the first floor (2nd floor if you’re North American). It really was a home from home with a full dining area with table and chairs and lounge area with sofa, soft rug and tv. The main double bedroom was upstairs with an anteroom having a sofa/pull out bed for children or guests 3&4. Lots of storage in the bedroom but there was a distinct lack of hangers in the wardrobe but loads of drawer space. The kitchen is adequate enough for simple meals (no oven) with a twin hob and microwave, kettle and toaster, and a selection of pots and pans. We managed really well. The hotel provides breakfast 8am - 10am if you want it at 12euros per person. We didn’t try this option. Housekeeping are amazing and come every day! Everything is clean and beds are made. Towels can be changed daily if you like. For a self-catering holiday we found that a lot was provided in the apartment for us: washing up liquid, washing up sponge, washing up cloth and a tea towel. These are replenished and changed as needed. There is also toilet roll, shower gel and hand wash provided in the bathroom which was lovely - again, replenished when needed or on request. The complex gardens are beautiful and well-tended. The pool looked lovely and well-cared for, however we didn’t try it out. There seems to be a hot tub in a wooden building off the pool area - we took a look but it was grubby and the water had floating debris. I’m sure they would have sorted it out if we had asked, but we were out and about discovering the island every day. You definitely need to hire a car for the duration of your stay here as there isn’t any bus route nearby and taxis would be very expensive to get around the island. HANDY TIP: If you’re picking up your hire car on landing at the airport and driving to Quinta da Santana - to get into the complex there is an electronic gate that requires a remote control. When you first arrive, drive past the big metal gate and find the next smaller (pedestrian) gate. Put the hazard lights on in the car and get out to ring the bell. This alerts reception who will come and open the gate for you or just give you a remote straight away so you can drive into the complex. We had a horrendous time of looking and looking and going around and around the roads trying to find the entrance!! We didn’t know about the need to ring the pedestrian gate bell (face palm!) The reception staff are lovely and very accommodating and speak English very well. I’m not sure what other languages they can speak. The area that Quinta da Santana is situated in is the one fly in the ointment….it seems really run down and the road they are situated on is all full of industrial buildings and commercial businesses. Further exploration within Santana uncovers the grubbier side of agricultural life with its local working class community.

Wir haben 5 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht. Gehen wir eins nach dem anderen. Zimmer: Es gab keine Abgasanlage in der Toilette. Der Geruch der Bettwäsche war seit dem ersten Tag schrecklich. Das Design war schön. Reinigungsservice war ein Witz... Wir mussten bis zu dreimal nachfragen, um das Zimmer zu machen... Jeder Tag war ein Drama, wenn man wusste, wann es fertig war. Frühstück: Ein 5 Sterne Hotel hat ein so schlechtes Frühstück nicht verdient. Orangensaft war nicht einmal frisch. Spanischer Schinken war schrecklich (wirklich schlechte Qualität und Bäckerei ... einfach sprachlos) Restaurant: Extrem kurze Auswahl an Gerichten. Auch hier nicht auf dem erwarteten Niveau eines 5-Sterne-Hotels. Ausstattung: Viele Zimmer waren noch nicht fertig und noch nicht fertig gebaut. Umgebung ist echt hässlich.... Zusätzliche Kommentare: Wir haben viele Paare und Familien gesehen, die an der Rezeption gebucht hatten und kein Zimmer verfügbar war ... Das Hotel bot andere Zimmer in anderen Hotels in 17 km Entfernung an! ! Wir gingen zum Pool (Billard) und es gab eine Undichtigkeit an der Decke... Ein neues Hotel mit Undichtigkeit??? Zusammenfassend, das Beste an diesem Hotel war das Personal. . . Die Armen, die versucht haben, alle Brände zu ”löschen”, die vom Hotel- und Hotelmanagement verursacht wurden. Besonders das Personal an der Rezeption: Thx für Ihr Bestes! Ich biete 3/5 Sterne, weil ich glauben möchte, dass sie all diese Probleme in kurzer Zeit beheben werden und bis dahin gut sein wird.

I just returned from a three night stay at this hotel with my girlfriend and our teenage daughter. We have been countless times in S. Miguel as we consider it such a pleasant and beautiful island. This time we opted for a hotel outside the main towns and in fact we managed to do just that. At the same time it is only 20 minutes away from the airport and 15 minutes away from Ponta Delgada or Ribeira Grande, the two main towns. We already visited the nine islands of the Azores archipelago and always get a rental car at the airport (exception at Corvo Island). If you are staying in this hotel, it is paramount that you do the same. As to the hotel itself, we booked it only four weeks in advance on high season, thus we had to pay the full rate of the stay at that moment. Upon check-in on room 206, we were given two identical cards without any distinctive element, one to open the door and the other to insert into the slot for lightening. That is odd, generally, hotels give two identical keys to open the door and one of them, if necessary can be left on the slot when we are out. We were assigned a spacious accommodation with living room, bedroom and bathroom. We did not have sea view and the living room had lots of glass walls overlooking the adjacent condo. All those glasses made it very hot on the sun shining days and we had to keep the AC on during the day. The décor of the room was unstylish and lacking attention to details. The bedroom had a big closet but no clothes rail or hangers. Besides that, one of the doors of the closet could not be opened fully, because it bumped into the shelves that are installed as bedside tables. The safe was old style, that is to say, it closes with a key that we had to ask for at the reception at no charge, along with a cumbersome key ring that we had to take with us whenever we were out of the room. The living room had a well equipped kitchen, that we did not use but it was constantly patrolled by half a dozen ants. We had bought previously some good looking fruits and had to fill a big dish with water and in the middle of it we put a small dish with our fruit so that the ants weren’t able to cross the water in order to get to fruit island. The bathroom was very spacious and pleasant looking even if the washbasin was more stylish than efficient. This room lacked tremendously of a place to put one´s belongings (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, electrical razor and so on). Amazingly no one foresaw the installation of a shelf. The social areas of the hotel such as the lobby are, again, unstylish, corridors have shabby carpeting. The room where breakfast is served has a view to an outside wall and lacks natural lightening. Breakfast itself has a reasonable variety of items, but by no means is it worth 12 euro per person per day, that in our case we were asked to paid in advance, precisely at the same moment we made the reservation. Schön, sehr ruhig gelegenes Komplex mit Apartments und Hotelzimmern. Das Komplex befindet sich im ruhigen Dorf Capela, 15 km vom Hauptstadt und Flughafen. Ein Auto ist ein Muss, aber Sie brauchen es immer noch, um diese wunderschöne Insel zu besuchen. Unsere 2-kamerappartement war sehr geräumig und sauber. Die Betten waren gut mit einer Auswahl aus zwei Schranken. Die Küche ist sehr komplett mit Backofen, Mikrowelle, Nespresso-Gerät (Kopf-Zahlungs-) und Wasserkocher mit kostenlosem Tee vorhanden. Das Hotel möchte die Gäste aufgrund der Umwelt zu weniger Reinigungsdienst anregen. Bei keiner Reinigung erhalten Sie täglich einen Gutschein von €3, um im Restaurant zu verbringen. Aber €3 in diesem Restaurant ist nicht viel wert, da die Preise sind riesig: ein Cappuccino kostet hier €3,50, während auf der ganzen Insel die Kaffeepreise um €1, 20 liegen Sie müssen die Gutscheine selbst fragen, Ich fand es kein handliches System und die Ausgleichszahlung ist natürlich absolut nicht proportional (€3 versus keine Reinigung, Handtücher, geformte Bett, Teezusatz und Flasche Wasser). Das Restaurant, wo wir Kaffee getrunken mit den Gutscheinen, fanden wir uns unfreundlich. Der Sauna, Fitnessraum und der Innen- und Außenpool wurden nicht genutzt, so kann ich auch nicht bewerten. ausreichender Parkplatz. Gemütliche Kaffee zwischen den lokalen in der Cafeteria Moby Dick im Dorf trinken. Supermärkte Pingo Doce und Continentale in der Nähe von Auto entfernt. Alles mit einem guten Aufenthalt.

Ein fabelhaftes Hotel, das bei meinem Aufenthalt Besitzerwechsel durchmachte, da einige Funktionen unvollendet sind, aber keine Beschwerden. Die Aussicht von jedem Teil des Hotels ist wunderschön. Das Schlafzimmer war hervorragend, der Pool war sehr schön und das Frühstück war unglaublich. Das Abendessen war gut, aber aufgrund des Besitzerwechsels minimal im Angebot. Dies wird ein sehr, sehr schönes Hotel sein, sobald es vollständig fertiggestellt und gepflegt ist ... es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, in Zukunft wieder dorthin zu fahren. Das Personal an der Rezeption, im Restaurant und in der Bar war sehr freundlich und machte meinen Aufenthalt sehr einladend.

Wir waren für fünf Nächte in diesem Hotel. Beim Check in waren wir etwas enttäuscht, dass wir kein Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten erhalten haben, trotz Anfrage via Mail. Aber das Bett im Zimmer war groß genug für uns zwei und deshalb war alles gut. Sehr schöne Lage am Hafen mit toller Aussicht vom Balkon. Bei regnerischen Tagen ist auch das SPA mit Pool, jacuzzi und Türkischem Bad zu empfehlen. Besonders Maria von den Guest Relations war sehr hilfreich mit tollen Tipps.

Schöne ruhige Lage (Sie brauchen ein Auto), gute Mittelwerte plus Qualitätshotel, freundliches Personal. Satnav bei der ersten Ankunft kann verwirrt werden (Ich meine satnav Benutzer, natürlich) von zwei engen, aber unverbundenen Straßengrenzstellen mit dem gleichen Namen – Sie wurden gewarnt ! Ein wenig uninspiriertes Essen (Sie können hier Abendessen einschließlich Samstagsbuffet haben, aber es gibt bessere Restaurants in kurzer Fahrt. Weinauswahl sehr schlecht). Frühstücksbuffet typisch - gutes Obst, arme ‚Fruchtsaft‘, bestes Bacon hatte ich in einer halben Dutzend Hotels der Azoren ... wenn Sie einen richtigen Kaffee anstatt einen Moment brauchen, um ihn zu bitten. Restaurant hat Außensitz für Raucher. Ich würde insgesamt empfehlen.
