From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, whether it's your first visit or your tenth you are treated like family. Jenny and Eugene are the most welcoming owners of anywhere I have ever been, such a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble....just ask. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with a drink and a toastie, then shown to our room. The hotel is very modern and boutique style with only 11 rooms. We were on the top floor and had views of the pool and the surrounding mountains. The room itself was super clean, large, airy and very bright, lots of plug sockets, full length mirror, proper iron, a safe in the wardrobe and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The air con was great and we had a full size fridge, toastie maker, microwave, electric hob, lavazza coffee m/c and all the utensils and crockery you could think of, even a tea towel, sponge and washing up liquid!! Plenty of hangers too. In the room waiting for us was complimentary water, orange juice, sweets, biscuits, tea bags and 2 coffee pods....lovely touches. Our pool towels were changed twice a week and our room towels nearly every day, bathrobes and slippers are also provided. Jenny's breakfasts are to die for, so much food, the good thing is you can take what you don't eat up to your room in a basket that she provides and have it for lunch, every day a treat, Jenny bakes and cooks and her food is delicious, every Sunday she does something for the guests, we had a lasagne and a moussaka, she also made cakes nearly every day and the salads are all home grown in Eugenes'garden. Expect visits from their family, she has 4 grandchildren and they often pop in which was lovely as they are so cute. Been such a small hotel it felt very intimate and sometimes we had the gorgeous pool to ourselves. So quiet and relaxing. The village is a 5 min walk away and all the locals are friendly, the tavernas are typically Greek but do the most amazing food at very reasonable prices. There are a few supermarkets, clothes shops, a fabulous bakery and ice cream shop, pharmacy's and a small gift shop. We usually keep ourselves to ourselves on holiday but we talked to most people here and made some new friends.... lovely Yvonne and Jeff who we sat next to by the pool each day till they left, Jo and Keeley who were funny, lovely, very friendly and great girls and also (famous) Trevor and his lovely wife Donna (who makes the most beautiful cards for any occasion) to name but a few, there were others but didn't catch all the names. You can see why people return year after year to this wonderful hotel. It was extremely hot while we were there and some wild fires occurred that caused a lot of damage and our hearts go out to all the people who lost their homes and the holiday makers who had to be evacuated due to their hotels been damaged, such devastation.and so so sad, but the army and helpers who flew the helicopters and sea planes are true heros.... constantly
