We understand that you included a special request regarding your pet in your booking. A "request" in the context of hotel bookings is a note or a preference that guests can add to the reservation. However, requests are not guaranteed and do not automatically include additional fees or services unless specifically added to the reservation. When bookings are made through third-party platforms such as Trip.com, the rates are typically for room-only or bed and breakfast, and additional services cannot be added. It is also specified on the Trip.com website that for pets there is an additional charge, which cannot be added through the third-party and therefore must be paid at the hotel. The pet fee is a standard charge at our hotel to cover the extra cleaning and care required for guests travelling with their pets. In your case, since the pet fee was not included in the initial booking, it was requested upon your arrival. Our front desk team, understanding your situation after the long journey, made an exception by waiving the pet fee for your stay. We hope this gesture helped to alleviate some of your frustration. To ensure a smoother experience in the future, we recommend the guests to be aware that additional fees need to be paid directly at the hotel if they are not included in the rate being booked.
