My friend and I stayed two days at the Murieta and enjoyed ourselves. The drinks from The Gate were strong and the food was exquisite. I ordered the French Dip and The Filet Mignon, the Filet Mignon was so unbelievable good that I would have ordered it again for breakfast. 🤣 The entire hotel had a very musty smell. It wasn’t bad enough to complain about but it was definitely odd. We had a facial and massage done at the spa by Brooke and Chantal and really enjoyed both. The girls were very sweet. We did have issues with the front desk staff and the restaurant staff. Everyone seems either very new or like they just genuinely don’t want to help you. I lost my credit card and wasn’t sure if I had dropped it in the lobby or shoved it in a bag somewhere so I asked the front desk to check their video footage and they refused, which I found very odd. The restaurant staff just seemed to make things difficult, we had ordered room service and had coupons for free appetizers and they made us come down to the restaurant to show them each time and then return to our room to have the food delivered. The next morning I asked if I ordered food could I pick it up and take it the pool and they said yes. So I ordered, went to the pool, came back 20 minutes later to pick it up, and returned to the pool. No one thought to tell me they had poolside service? The next day while at the pool a man walked by to take orders and asked if we needed anything and my friend asked for a menu. He said sure I’ll be right back, and then we didn’t see him again for another 30 minutes when he was talking to other guests. Overall it was a good stay but if you have any issues I couldn’t expect to rely on the staff.
