Die Gastgeberin Catthya bietet hervorragenden Service und große Gastfreundschaft. Frühstück und Abendessen sind wunderbar. Das gepflegte dschungelartige Areal bietet Natur pur und hier im oft regnerischen Hochland von Santa Cruz beste Bedingungen für unzählige Landschildköten. Die Zimmer sind "rural" aber komfortabel und für hiesige Verhältnisse in gewisser Weise luxuriös.

If you want to be pampered, eat delicious food, enjoy tortoises strolling past your window and expert help arranging day trips THIS IS THE PLACE. Gracious surroundings, service provided with love and a smile and better food than we found anywhere in town. Beautiful yoga studio, too!

Our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel was exceptional. Having read positive reviews about it, our expectations were high, but they were exceeded in every way. Our room had a magnificent view over a canopy of trees, with the sea in the distance. It was tastefully furnished and large. Breakfasts were delicious and served in an airy, light restaurant- again with lovely views. We took several walks around the spacious grounds during which we saw many tortoises. The trip into town took less than 15 minutes and cost just $7. Cattya was the perfect host and was always on hand to offer suggestions for trips.

Right in the middle of the mountain there is a small place to calm down and to get close to the wonders of nature - there are many big turtles on the property which you can go close to- the rooms are very nice - breakfast and lunch very tasty - bedding super cosy - nice view from the rooms into the garden - interior like a treasure case - absolutely recomandebal

Semilla Verde was our home away from home while we visited the Galapagos islands. From the moment we arrived Isidro was there to welcome us with a smile. Cattya and the ladies at the hotel took care of our every need. The food was delicious and the rooms spacious and the deck with the hammock was perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. Robert was so helpful and booked all of our tours in advance. Also, I can't say enough about our trip to Bartholome Island with Stefanie and the crew of the Sea Finch. We got to see hawks, penguins, sea lions, and every fish imaginable. Stefanie is so knowlegeable and engaging. The hotel is an easy 10-15 from town and we are so happy we stayed here vs. town. We look forward to returning one day to this little piece of heaven.

Lovely highland hotel. Tortoises were on the grounds but surprisingly elusive here one Monte and gone the next. Rooms are nice with a lovely balcony. Beds comfy. We had lunch and dinner which was quite expensive in comparison to meals we ate in really nice restaurants in town but it was very good. Beautifully cooked fish. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Semilla Verde was wonderful. It was much more than we expected. Cattya and her staff accommodated all our needs. They were great. We were always greeted with a smile. It was neat to walk the property looking for the giant tortoises. Of course, Saba, the resident dog, knew the property well and accompanied us on our walks. We purchased a package which worked well. From being met outside the luggage pick-up at the airport, all our day trips to escorting us back to the airport at our departure. Never having to worry about anything. The food was very good. We looked forward to the fresh fruit/juice to the local products that were served. It was nice to know that some of the items were grown on the property, like the coffee. Our room was spacious and serviced daily. It was very nice. I hope to return to Semilla Verde and can highly recommend a stay there.

Semilla Verde was SO much more than a wonderful hotel. Yes, it offered comfort, beauty and space to relax at the end of the day and the grounds are magnificent. The breakfasts were large and beautifully served. We met others and were able to compare Galapagos activities. Yet, what I was most thankful for was the advice that Robert (the owner) offered before our trip and the help Cattya (the manager) provided when we were there. Robert recommended and arranged booked top-notch boat and land excursions for us. His knowledge made our stay in the Galapagos so much more enjoyable and smooth going. Cattya helped us with great advice on things to see (and how to get there) and even woke up at 5am to ensure we had coffee before our trip to another island. I was skeptical when I read the glowing reviews, but they were true!

Cattya made the stay very special. She was very involved in making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel gave you the feel of living in nature. Her staff was very attentive. As a person that has to eat gluten free, I was well taken care of. Her staff even made me a gf muffin for breakfast the morning we left.
