Golflinks Hotel

Our stay at the signature room was wonderful. The view is so beautiful. We could see sunrise and sunset from the room. The room had everything we need. We particularly enjoyed the shower and the warm floor in the bathroom.

Dieses Hotel ist überhaupt nicht familienfreundlich. Am ersten Morgen beim Frühstück boten die Kinder knusprige Nuss, spezielles K oder Porridge als Müsli an. Wir fragten, ob sie sonst noch etwas sagen würden, "nur was ich dir gesagt habe". Am zweiten Morgen kauften wir Müsli und brachten es mit. Wir verbrachten den Freitagabend im Restaurant, das sehr schön war und das Essen war sehr gut. Am Samstag gingen zwei von uns und ein 15-Jähriger in die Bar, um etwas zu trinken, während die Mädchen sich fertig machten und den Fußball ansahen, den sie zeigten. Als wir ankamen, wurde uns gesagt, wir sollten in die öffentliche Bar gehen, was wir taten, um zu erfahren, dass es unter 18 nicht erlaubt ist. Wir gingen zurück zur Rezeption und gingen in Richtung der Bibliotheksbar, wo Fußball im Fernsehen lief und nicht eine Person dort war. Uns wurde gesagt, dass es nur zum Anziehen ist. Wir erklärten, dass wir nur etwas trinken wollten, während die Mädchen sich fertig machten, und sie waren fest davon überzeugt, dass wir nur erlaubten, wenn wir etwas zu essen hatten. Wir sagten ihnen, dass ihre öffentliche Bar keine Kinder unter 18 Jahren zulässt, wozu der Wachmann sagte, er könne nichts tun, und wir mussten Essen bestellen, da die Tische für die Öffentlichkeit bestimmt sind, und wir sagten, wir würden im Hotel übernachten. Dieser Sicherheitsmann war unhöflich und sehr autoritär. Mein Freund wandte sich an seinen 15-jährigen Sohn und sagte, komm schon, wir geben unser Geld woanders aus. Der Wachmann sagte dann, Sie brauchen diese Haltung nicht mit mir einzunehmen. Wir hielten an der Rezeption an und baten um eine Beschwerde, und das arme Empfangsmädchen sah verwirrt aus und sagte, sie wisse nichts über Beschwerden und gab uns eine Visitenkarte und eine E-Mail.

Unser Zimmer war um 3 Uhr noch nicht fertig zum Einchecken. Das Zimmer selbst war sauber, aber winzig. In einem Unterhaltungszelt unter unserem Fenster gab es am Samstagabend bis 23.00 Uhr sehr laute Live-Musik. Unser Zimmer wurde während unseres Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Keine sauberen Handtücher, Tee, Kaffee aufgefüllt usw.

Brilliant hotel and facilities for an event reception staff are fantastic Shannon and Chloe 10 out of 10 room nice clean and well stocked bar staff spot on ,we have stayed a few times now and everything the place gets bigger ,the new extension to Kelly's complex is great, would highly recommend for a short break or an event the normal staff make the place run fantastic well done #Bacon

Just back from a girls trip celebrating our friends 40th birthday. First time & won't be the last. Beautiful room & beautiful food. The service was exceptional. Every member of staff went above & beyond. Great time had by all. Many thanks ciara

We arrived slightly early but only had a short wait for our rooms. We stayed in room 1 for the 2nd time. Smell of fresh paint in the hallway and room and couldn't fault the decor. Complimentary tea, coffee (including coffee machine), biscuits, crisps and water. Bed and pillows comfortable to sleep on. You can hear other guests moving around upstairs but it didn't bother us or affect our sleep. Other family members had room 21. Not the best view but who goes away to look out a window anyway? It was a twin room and sufficient. Both safest didn't work and reported to reception. Was offered to use a safe in another room but just kept valuables with us in the end. Food was good with four of us opting for the pizza deal - 2 12inch pizzas, sides and drinks for £20. Pizzas are made in a wood fire oven and tasted good. On Friday night we opted for the steak deal. £20 for steak, side, sauce and drink. The wine with the deal wasn't the best but a slight improvement here could really make the deal perfect. Staff all work very hard and are very friendly - Brian was always flying around making sure everyone was happy. Barman worked his socks off. Lily took our food order for 6 people on Friday night and everything was spot on. It was the same at breakfast. Location is great too, just a short walk to Portrush town, beaches etc. Lovely stay overall, thanks guys. See you again.

From start to finish we could not fault this hotel. Shannen on reception was so pleasant and helpful as were all the staff throughout the hotel. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite which was lovely. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel the food was amazing and plenty of it and the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much bother for them. All in all an amazing stay in an excellent hotel which we will most definitely return to with or without the upgrade. Thank you

Two weeks ago, we spent five nights at Golflinks Hotel in Portrush. I recommend it highly. It’s a relatively small hotel, but beautifully appointed and it has a full restaurant and bar with excellent food and service. Rooms were clean and fresh, and the location is convenient and scenic. When we first arrived, Matthew greeted us and was so kind, funny, and helpful, that he quickly made us feel at home. Over the next five days, we continued to be impressed by the staff and facilities. Shannon was knowledgeable about the area, Lorraine was kind enough to drive us to see sheep :), and Stephen provided us with help and transportation a few times as well. The truly impressive part about the hotel is the staff teamwork that was shown. They all pitched in together - no job too big or too small - and it almost felt like we were staying with a big family. Grace, Faith, and Misha all showed us kindnesses, too, and we were grateful to them all. I don’t know when I’ve come away from a place having gotten to know so many staff members by name or feeling genuinely sorry to be leaving them. As I write this, I’m at the airport heading back to Florida, and of all the places we’ve been in the past three weeks, it is the folks at Golflinks that are standing out in my mind as those that I am so pleased that we had the opportunity to meet.
