We were a family of 10 (6 "youngins" in their late 20's/early 30's, and four of us in our 60's). We were visiting Athens & 3 Greek islands (Mykonos, Naxos, & Santorini, in that order). I will definitely be returning to Naxos, and without a doubt, I'll be staying in Villa Paradise, because that's exactly what it is!! Just read the other reviews. Stephanos is a great host, just as the other reviews say .... He will do whatever it takes to make your stay as enjoyable as possible - more about him later. We stayed in "Villa Blue" - a spotless, spacious, well appointed 5 bedroom/4 bath villa with private pool, and a number of furnished, private, outside areas to gather, play cards, enjoy a few drinks, or just to take in some amazing views! The beach was also fantastic. 20 steps from our villa was a short path leading to Plaka beach (we were touching sand from our villa in less than a minute). Google "best beaches in Greek islands", & Naxos will pop up. Then google best beaches in Naxos, & Plaka beach will be on the top of the list. Plaka beach is about 3.5 miles long. It's a U-shaped beach with crystal clear water, & soft powder sand. With protection from the island of Paros the water is calm. Because of the size, it cannot get crowded, and as a bonus, Villa Paradise leases the 1st section, which basically privatizes 40 yards of the beach just for their guests of Villa Paradise (even though it's not necessary). That section is furnished with a dozen or so soft, comfortable beach lounges, & neat little wood tables for each lounge. Also, at the top of the 10 steps leading down to the beach is an area with nice wooden chairs & tables to sit & watch the sun hit the sea. If you're looking for more activity, just walk 10 miutes down the beach to some beach bars. Further (20 minute walk), at the far end is a beach nite club. Now to Sephanos - you can tell he loves his job. Whatever you need - just ask him. From last minute dinner reservations, to a private boat charter, rental cars, or quaint villages to visit, short amazing hikes to longer hikes (for the youngins), he will set it up! He knows everyone in Naxos. We only stayed 3 nights - but if i had to re-plan our trip, I would definitely stay longer in Naxos. From quiet beaching, to nite life, to nice restaurants & shopping. Whatever secret is left, it will get out. There is currently some development happening here & there, but the island is large & hopefully it won't get carried away. Bottom line - Villa Paradise is a great place to stay, on a great island, with a great host!!
