If you are looking for a place in Gorkhi Terelj National Park that perfectly balances modern luxury, endless entertainment, and untouched natural beauty, Imperial Mount Resort is the ultimate choice.
The Ultimate Host: The biggest highlight of our stay was the resort owner, who is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and speaks fluent English. Having a host you can communicate with easily in the wilderness is a game-changer. There is absolutely no need to join a rigid group tour; the owner quickly arranged a private driver for us (at our own expense) to visit nearby attractions like Turtle Rock and the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex. It allowed us to customize our own itinerary and enjoy total freedom.
The Vibe & Accommodation: The resort is beautifully designed with a sleek, modern wooden main building. We stayed in a Duplex Dome, which offered incredible space and a skylight for stargazing. The biggest luxury was the private, clean bathroom with excellent hot water and separate wet/dry areas—a rare find that completely redefines the typical Mongolian camping experience! The resort sits in a peaceful valley surrounded by majestic rock formations and roaming horses, giving it a dreamy, ”Little Switzerland” feel.
Top-Notch Amenities (All Free!): Unlike other remote camps, this place keeps you entertained. Inside the main building, there is a designated Ping Pong room, a billiards table, and Karaoke rooms—all completely free to use! Outside, they have basketball court, volleyball court, a colorful children's playground, and BBQ pits.
Incredible Food: The dining here blew us away. The included breakfast was fresh and relaxing. However, I highly recommend ordering their ala carte dinner. They serve a fantastic mix of Western and traditional Mongolian dishes. We ordered the grilled meat skewers with fries, a massive chicken Caesar salad, a comforting hot vegetable and meat stew, and traditional Mongolian Huushuur (deep-fried meat pastries) and Buuz (steamed dumplings). Everything was incredibly flavorful and hearty!
Horseback Riding Nearby: There is a professional horse ranch run by a neighbor just 100 meters away. It costs 30,000 MNT per hour, which is very reasonable. Tip: If it's your first time riding, I highly recommend hiring a coach to guide you for safety.
Verdict: 10/10. An unforgettable stay with amazing hospitality. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Komfortable, willkommen und schön gestaltet. Jedes Zimmer hat seinen eigenen Detail: großes TV, starkes Internet, saubere Dusche und sogar ein Küchenbereich, wo Sie kochen können. Es fühlt sich wirklich wie zu Hause.
Der Landbesitzer ist unglaublich gut zu Hause und spricht Englisch gut. Er ist freundlich, leicht zu sprechen und kann heiße Orte empfehlen, um in Ulaanbaatar zu besuchen. Seine Gastfreundschaft macht den Aufenthalt noch besser.
Das Hotel liegt sehr nahe dem großen lokalen Markt, so dass es günstig zu erkunden, essenzielle kaufen oder genießen Sie lokale Lebensmittel. Das Gebiet fühlt sich lebendig noch sicher.

Our three-night stay at Hunnu Tourist Camp completely exceeded our expectations. It offers insane value for money and is the ultimate choice if you want to escape overcrowded commercial traps and experience the true harmony of Mongolian nature and genuine human connection.
Pure Hospitality with Zero Hassle (Our Deepest Impression): The best part about this camp is the vibe. The hosts give you complete peace and space—there is absolutely none of the aggressive upselling or tourist hassle you often find elsewhere. They might seem quiet, but they are deeply attentive, showing their warmth through thoughtful actions rather than loud words.
July Summer Comfort & Cozy Bedding: We visited in early July. Even though the daytime temperature reached 30°C outside, the inside of the ger remained surprisingly cool, airy, and refreshed without any air conditioning. However, summer nights on the steppe can plunge to single digits. To our delight, the beds were equipped with electric blankets, and the hosts even proactively brought us an electric heater because they were worried we might get cold. We slept incredibly warm and soundly!
Wonderful Included Breakfast & Great Dining Options:
Complimentary Breakfast: A delicious buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. It was a wonderful surprise to have a varied spread of fresh vegetables, meat, fruits, and boiled eggs on the steppe, along with comforting Korean seaweed soup and traditional Mongolian hot broth.
Dinner Recommendation (Khorkhog): We highly recommend pre-ordering the traditional Mongolian stone-roasted meat (Khorkhog). It takes about 2 hours to prepare, so we usually ordered it during breakfast for our dinner. The portions are huge and come with a great variety of side dishes.
Paid À La Carte Options: For other meals, the restaurant offers an excellent and affordable daily menu of Mongolian and Korean dishes that are freshly made to order. We loved the Kimchi tofu soup with rice, stir-fried spicy pork belly, handmade mutton fried noodles (Tsuivan), and crispy Khuushuur. Everything was satisfying and very well-priced!
The Sweetest Check-out Gesture: On our final day, we had to catch a chartered car back to Ulaanbaatar Airport (UBN) at 7:00 AM, long before breakfast hours. We went to say goodbye to the host the night before and mentioned we would leave our ger door open upon departure. Hearing this, the host immediately went to pack a breakfast box for us for the next morning, filled with boiled eggs, fresh cucumbers, and mandarins. Receiving this thoughtful, handmade meal in the chilling steppe air deeply moved and healed us.
Facilities & Activities: Shared bathrooms were kept spotless with abundant hot water. The surrounding nature is stunning for hiking, featuring lush meadow wetlands, unique gully erosion, and roaming livestock. You can even spot the Genghis Khan Statue Complex in the distance. The camp has its own stables where you can pay to ride horses directly to the Tuul River. They even provide traditional Mongolian costumes (Deel) in the lobby for guests to try on for free.
Final Thoughts on Mongolian Culture: Throughout this journey, I deeply felt the spirit of the Mongolian nomads, who have coexisted alongside horses, sheep, wolves, and harsh blizzards for thousands of years. They hold a profound reverence for nature, viewing humans and animals not in a hierarchy, but as equal living beings nurtured by the same earth. This dignified, grounded, and unpretentious attitude is worlds apart from modern commercial societies, and it is precisely what made this journey so rare and precious to us. A perfect 10/10!

TTomFraenkHotel mit guter Lage und schöner Aussicht auf die Stadt. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und sehr sauber. Leider funktionierte das WLAN kaum überall in unserem Zimmer, nur sporadisch und mit schlechter Geschwindigkeit. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und das Englische war gut. Meine Vorausposten, die den Flughafen Pickup beantragten, wurden nicht beantwortet. Das Frühstück war einfach und etwas unausgewogen. Kaffee wurde von einem Kupfer serviert, aber leider gab es keinen Service von der Kaffeemaschine. Es befindet sich in einem Innenraum, wodurch es sehr bequem ist.

AAayush Singh ChopraThe hotel was located right across Sukhbataar square and 1 km from State department store which made it really convenient to go around walking. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and the breakfast Buffet had a nice spread of local Mongolian cuisines as well as western options. The Hotel also features 3 bars and a lounge on 23/F with amazing views of the city and nice food.
Highly recommended for stay in Ulaanbaatar.

AAnonymer BenutzerDas Hotel befindet sich in einem mehrstöckigen Bürogebäude. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es einen Supermarkt und ein Café.
Der Check-in war super! Der erste Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sprach etwas Englisch und checkte mich problemlos um 7:30 Uhr morgens ein. Mein Zimmer war geräumig, das Bett groß, wenn auch etwas hart. Damit endeten die positiven Aspekte des Hotels.
Leider ist alles andere ziemlich schlecht. Die Beleuchtung ist kaputt, und man kann das Licht über dem Bett nur mit der Schlüsselkarte ausschalten. Dann fallen aber auch die Steckdosen aus, sodass man nicht schlafen und gleichzeitig sein Handy laden kann. Die Möbelknöpfe fallen auseinander, ebenso der Duschknopf. Das WLAN war während meines Aufenthalts zweimal ausgefallen, darunter ein sehr frustrierender Ausfall von über 12 Stunden. Das Housekeeping scheint nicht zu wissen, was ein „Bitte nicht stören“-Schild bedeutet, und betritt trotzdem das Zimmer. Die Toilettenartikel sind so billig wie möglich und entsprechen nicht dem Hotelnamen (z. B. Premium), lol.
Alles in allem war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gerade überwältigend. Ich werde hier nicht wieder übernachten.

HHolliLASSEN SIE SICH NICHT WIE ICH TÄUSCHEN
In der Auflistung steht, dass es 6 Autominuten vom Flughafen Chinggis Khan entfernt ist, aber in Wirklichkeit sind es 30 Autominuten. Es liegt ganz in der Nähe des ALTEN Flughafens, der nicht mehr in Betrieb ist. Sie bieten eine kostenlose Abholung vom Flughafen an, aber wir haben die Nacht vor unserem Flug hier verbracht, also brauchten wir keine Abholung, sondern einen Bringservice. Obwohl wir den kostenlosen Abholservice nicht genutzt haben, mussten wir trotzdem 25 USD für den Bringservice zum Flughafen bezahlen. Ich hatte der Unterkunft in der Woche vor unserem Aufenthalt zweimal eine E-Mail geschickt, um nach dem Bringservice zu fragen, und nie eine Antwort erhalten. Außerdem fehlt die Kommunikation zwischen den Mitarbeitern – als wir in der Unterkunft ankamen, mussten wir dreimal anrufen, bevor sie uns endlich abholten, um unser Gepäck abzuholen, dann herrschte Verwirrung darüber, welches Zimmer wir bekommen sollten, und wir wurden in 3 verschiedene Zimmer gebracht, bevor es das richtige war. Im zweiten hatten wir uns bereits eingerichtet und geduscht, bevor sie kamen und uns sagten, es sei das falsche Zimmer. Wir hatten kein Auto, also gingen wir zu Fuß in der Gegend umher, um etwas zu essen zu finden, und es gab kaum oder gar keine Restaurants und nur ein paar sehr kleine Märkte, sodass wir schließlich Essen im Restaurant der Anlage bestellen mussten. Jedes Zimmer ist anders, wie wir feststellten, als wir in drei verschiedene Zimmer gebracht wurden. Sie sind seeeeehr geräumig, aber manche sind definitiv in besserem Zustand als andere. Glücklicherweise war unser letztes Zimmer das beste, es gab jedoch eine Küche mit Töpfen, Pfannen, Reiskocher, Kochfeld und Tellern, aber kein Besteck, keine Mikrowelle und keinen Kühlschrank. Warum sollte man einen Küchenbereich haben, aber keinen Kühlschrank und kein Besteck? Es gab auch eine Waschmaschine in der Einheit, aber keinen Trockner. Wir hatten während unseres eintägigen Aufenthalts keine Zeit, darauf zu warten, dass unsere Kleidung an der Luft trocknete, also war das auch nutzlos.
Insgesamt war es ein günstiger Aufenthalt, aber man bekommt, wofür man bezahlt.
