The historical structure, with its classic Jiangnan water town architecture, has been converted with the utmost respect and sophistication. Inside, however, every modern amenity is thoughtfully integrated—plush bedding, a stunning rain shower, and elegant tech touches—creating a sanctuary of comfort that honors the past without sacrificing a single present-day pleasure. A crowning jewel of each day was the made-to-order breakfast. It was nothing short of spectacular—perfectly balanced, fresh, and beautifully presented. It provided the ideal, energizing start, especially because this clubhouse offers a golden key to Wuzhen: the privilege of exploring the ancient canals and lanes in the serene morning hours, blissfully free from the crowds. To have the misty, poetic beauty of Wuzhen almost to oneself is an unforgettable luxury, and it’s an advantage that truly sets this property apart. KKaren YueZhangSplendid Clubhouse is rated the topmost scenic hotel in Wuzhen, and guests are allocated a butler to assist on arrival at the ancient water town's tourist centre. Our butler was JiaJia, a very attentive lady who got in touch with us on WeChat even before our arrival. She coordinated with our precious hotel to ensure we wouldn't get lost after reaching Wuzhen's tourist entrance. We were brought to our hotel on a traditional river boat. Along the way we had our breath taken away by awesome views we could only once imagine. The hotel occupies a building that was once home to a wealthy shipbuilder. His main hall is conserved as a showcase and photo site for hotel guests. There are quiet and shaded courtyards on hotel grounds for tea, rest, and reflection. I packed my family into a 2-bedroom unit that overlooks a public garden. I was told that this garden is covered in flowers in spring and summer. It is barren now in winter, but still pretty to me. We got to pre-order breakfast in the hotel, as well as a room fragrance (I picked rose!). Location is splendid. Many top food stalls and restaurants are just one either side of the hotel entrance, and one can easily get to all of Wuzhen's top sights on foot. Be sure to eat a meal at the hotel's restaurant, where the Osmanthus roasted duck is so delicious and memorable!

GGastnutzerDas Shengting ist die erste Wahl für den Aufenthalt in Wuzhen. Es ist ein ruhiges und friedliches Hotel mit herzlichen Butlern, die sich um alles kümmern, von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise – super bequem und stressfrei. Es ist auch ideal für Familien mit Kindern, da es sich mitten im Zentrum des Touristenviertels befindet. Wenn man müde ist, kann man einfach ins Hotel zurückkehren und sich ausruhen. Sobald man wieder Energie getankt hat, kann man direkt wieder losziehen und weiter erkunden. Morgens kann man früh aufstehen und Wuzhen erleben, bevor die Massen kommen. Zum Frühstück empfehle ich die saure Kraut-Nudelsuppe mit Schweinefleischstreifen. Das „Early Tea Guest“ Frühstück ist relativ ölig, daher ist das Hotelfrühstück besser. Beim nächsten Mal werde ich wieder das Shengting wählen.

Die gesamte Erfahrung war sehr professionell, während immer noch warm und persönlich berührt. Das Zimmer war spotless, sehr geräumig und mit Gemütlichkeit ausgestattet, einschließlich einem Kühlschrank mit ergänzenden Getränken. Bei der Ankunft wurde der Szenenbereich und der Park klar erläutert, und während meiner Aufenthaltszeit war der Personal fast vor meiner Ausführung voraussichtlich Bedürfnisse. Was wirklich herauskam, war der außergewöhnliche Service. Das Team war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Während Englisch grundlegend war, bearbeiteten sie die Kommunikation schwach mit mobilen Übersetzern, um sicherzustellen, dass alles reibungslos und effizient war. Ein besonderes Augenmerk war der komplimentäre Bootsfahrt vom Hotel entlang des Hauptkanals bis zum Empfangsbereich eine schöne und erinnerebare Erfahrung. Die Szene ist selbst erstaunlich: charmant während des Tageslichts und absolut magisch bei Nacht, wenn er beleuchtet wird. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal nur wenige Schritte vom Fluss entfernt, zentral im Park gelegen, und sehr nahe den meisten ikonischen Brücken. Ich kann sowohl die Szene als auch dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen.

Service in der Paulaner Bar war langsam mit nur einem Server am Abend, den wir versucht haben. Es ist nicht billig, aber es ist sehr gut für das, was Sie erhalten. Ich habe zweimal geblieben und würde sicherlich wieder bleiben. Empfehlen, wenn Sie in der Nähe der Bahnhof sein wollen.

Da die Unterkunft direkt im malerischen Gebiet liegt, ist es während der Sommerferien-Hochsaison in Wuzhen absolut empfehlenswert, auch dort zu übernachten. Nur wenn man Wuzhen vor 9 Uhr morgens, bevor es für die Touristenmassen öffnet, erkundet, kann man die wahre Urlaubsatmosphäre genießen. Zu anderen Zeiten ist es einfach viel zu voll. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der exzellente Service hier. Xiao Dang (小党) hat mich bereits einen Tag im Voraus über WeChat kontaktiert und uns als persönlicher Service-Guide betreut. Bei der Ankunft erwartete er uns am Besucherzentrum, begleitete uns zum Check-in und half uns mit dem Gepäck. Auch beim Check-out brachte er uns persönlich zum Besucherzentrum zurück. Wenn man mit älteren Menschen und kleinen Kindern reist, ist ein solcher Service von unschätzbarem Wert und macht einen riesigen Unterschied. So etwas habe ich bisher in keinem anderen Hotel erlebt.

MMichael Exploring China and BeyondWe booked our stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Jiaxing, to celebrate my wife's Birthday, and to enjoy Dragon Boat Festival. The initial impact when entering the Hotel is good, the fragrance is pleasant, and the decor is modern and sleek. During the online booking process, I had some Special Requests ”Romantic Theme” for the room, the request, was promptly approved. Upon entering the Hotel, we were greeted by Sandy, at the front of House / Reception area. Her service was prompt and professional. She was friendly and informed us, that my wife would be receiving a cake for her Birthday. The check in process was efficient. We had the opportunity to briefly meet Edith, the Manager on duty. She was friendly and welcoming. The Birthday Cake and Fruit Platter, was delivered to our room, shortly after we checked in. In my experience, the ”Restaurant” is the ”heartbeat” of any successful Hotel. A restaurant with poor service and / or bad food, will surely lead to the demise of the business. Fortunately, that's not the case for the ”Eatery Restaurant” at the ”Four Points by Sheraton” in Jiaxing. The Restaurant's Staff are all very professional, and take pride in what they do. The Buffet Dinner is available, during the weekends, and is very reasonably priced (great value for money). The variety and quality of the cusine, is on International standard. Western and Chinese dishes, are professionally prepared, and served at this Restaurant. If I were to single out on special dish, it would most definitely be the ”Beef Wellington”, it was perfectly cooked and presented (the Best I have eaten, to date). Compliments to the chef/s in this regard. Special thanks to Tina, whom is always courteous, when I / we, visit the Restaurant. Infact, Tina is the reason for my return and stay at the Hotel, this time around. As she was most courteous and professional, during another visit to the Restaurant some time back. Thank you again, Tina. We would also like to thank Gary, whom provided superb service and courtesy, during the Dinner service. I could not help but notice, that Housekeeping were cleaning the rooms thoroughly. Their service should not be overlooked, as their hard work, ensure that the facilities remain on standard. Breakfast was excellent, with a superior variety of quality dishes and ingredients available. We can recommend the ”Four Points by Sheraton” Jiaxing, to all guests, foreign and domestic. We look forward to our next stay, and hope to enjoy many more special moments at this Hotel. See you soon.
