Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain

Als ich das Zimmer buchte, wusste ich, dass es eher klein sein würde. Was ich nicht erwartet hatte, war ein Zimmer im Stil eines Dachbodenschranks mit Bad. Die Möbel waren in einem schrecklichen Zustand, alles sah abgenutzt aus. Die Rettung war, dass das Zimmer eine Klimaanlage hatte. Kein wirkliches 4-Sterne-Qualitätshotel, ja, sie bieten technisch gesehen die erforderlichen Dienstleistungen, aber das Hotel wurde nicht gut instandgehalten, und das muss der Grund sein, warum die Lobby und die Flure so dunkel bleiben. Was auch immer Sie tun, buchen Sie nicht das Einzel-/Businesszimmer. Der Aufenthalt lohnt sich nicht.

The picture shown here on the main page does not resemble the room we received. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, it was dark inside and outside. The receptionist escorted us to our room on the second floor, we went up the stairs to the first floor and from there we squeezed into the most crowded elevator in the universe to go up one floor.. Of course we didn't use it anymore and always went up on foot. The room is small,bathroom is small , crowded, dark, carpets, heavy curtains... Those who are allergic or looking for modern and pleasant design is not the place for them (like me). In the morning the small lobby turns into a dining room, a nice little breakfast. And the biggest advantage is the fantastic location of the hotel. Close to the Luxembourg Gardens, St. Germain Street in the center of the Latin Quarter.. but in my opinion not a 4 star hotel at all. There is no coffee machine or bottle of water in the room.. there is barely room for one suitcase. A really small closet. The hotel has only 25 rooms. And on the last day we had to take the luggage down the stairs ourselves. We chose this hotel based on recommendations we saw about the hotel and the high rating of the reviews, but unfortunately I cannot recommend the hotel except for the great location

I won’t recommend this hotel at all. For the price paid, almost 330 EUR per night, it’s not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are one of the smallest I have ever seen, we have been assigned a room where at 30C degrees outside, there was no air conditioning working. In summer. (We learned later at the check-In other guests had the same trouble in other rooms). After my complain, the reception guy told us they also gave us an upgrade. Thanks ! But we can not sleep in a room in summer with no working air conditioning. They told us to check another room which was exactly with no air condition and even smaller. The third room assigned, after almost 4 hours, finally was working. The room are quite dark and small as I said. We staid 3 nights and the sleepers we used given from another hotel were white and become black. Imagine the cleanness of the floors in the rooms… The breakfast is an insult. Cornflakes (1 TYPE ONLY) in small packed mini boxes. 1 bowl of fruit. (go early or it will end soon.) Eggs only boiled by yourself. I asked for scrambled eggs and they told me I had to pay an extra to get them….(WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A 4 STAR HOTEL WHICH COSTS 330 EUR PER NIGHT…) 1 coffe. Croissants empties. BREAD, SOME MARMELADE , Yogurt. That’s it. Tables so small you have to use the chairs nearby to put the cornflakes packages and the empty plates cause NONE will ever come to ask for anything. They won't assist you. We had to leave early on the last day and we asked if we could have a bag from the breakfast we paid anyway. The result: two MINI croissants for me and my partner, wrapped in a paper towel. Embarassing. Go somewhere else !

This is a sweet hotel in the middle of St. Germaine. The room size is typical of most Paris hotels. But they utilize the space perfectly. Staff is top notch. I felt safe and secure which is what I needed most.

The Odeon is a very pleasant place to stay in the heart of the Left Bank just steps from Boulevard St Germain, the Odeon, Luxembourg Palace and St Sulpice. Loads of great restaurants, shops and galleries nearby. The rooms are slightly small by US standards but are comfortable and nicely appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This lovely hotel ticks so many boxes and oozes charm, warmth and friendliness. I chose a single room for my stay which was perfect as a solo traveller and which was very comfortable and quiet. There was an incident with the bathroom which the staff dealt with very professionally and they very kindly moved me to a bigger room for the remainder of my stay. Thank you to the staff for the top service. I had a very pleasant experience and hope to be back for another stay.

I enjoyed staying at the Hotel Odeon St Germain. Very friendly staff and room are very confortable. Very clean and excellent services. One thing I even suggested to see if it can be fixed is the light in the room. The daylight does not enter the room, as a result, you have to have the light on to be able to see.
