The Reef at Atlantis

Paradise Island|1.54km vom Stadtzentrum
We had a beautiful ocean view room with a lovely view. Housekeeping did a fantastic job! Sheets were soft and the bed was pretty comfortable. Towels were generously sized and you do not need to pack any beach towels from home. I loved that they had pool and beach towels available since that saves space in your suitcase for packing! The lounge chairs at the pool and beach were the most comfortable I've ever used! I cannot recommend the Trainer for a Day program more highly. I thought it was very well run by very friendly associates and a great value since it came with all of the animal experiences (dolphins, sea lions, sting rays, nurse sharks) and a photographer for the day. It was expensive, but I felt it was really worth the price we paid! The two trainers who led us were the most friendly and helpful of all the Atlantis employees we met. Overall, I am glad we came to Atlantis. It was beautiful and a really neat experience for my family, but you need to be prepared for the expense beyond the cost of the room. Gratuity and VAT taxes are required on each item you purchase and it really adds up. Costs in the sundries store are really high too. A box with 3 ice cream bars was $16. Bottled water is $5 for a regular size and $11 for a quart size. Make sure you look at the menus ahead of time because the cost of food is really high and the food quality was just okay, for the most part. The best value and taste was at Carmines Italian restaurant. Be sure to look at the portion sizes there; they are HUGE!! 5 adults ate their fill on 2 entrees (and really probably could have just had one entree since they bring you delicious bread too.) There is a way to prepay for credits toward food purchased, but you have to buy 4 days before check-in and cannot get those once you are on property. The same is true for credits to use toward the dolphin experiences and some excursions. I wish I'd paid more attention to that because it would have been some savings.

The Cove at Atlantis

The Royal at Atlantis
