Hunton Park Hotel

Very basic, no toiletries as described in the booking. Window ledge inside and outside dirty and bugs so couldn't open the window. Shower was good and powerful. Breakfast was good hot buffet breakfast but fruits were tinned and only one type of pastries available and when they ran out no more replaced them. Location great for getting to watford junction and train to london, car park at Watford junction only £6 for the day.

Front desk and staff where friendly however the food had a hair, the room had snot on the wall, nails on the floor and hair all over, room seemed like it had not been cleaned, very disappointed for the money

Nice room, nice food, nice breakfast, nice staff, nice bar, decent pool (heated and clean but needs revamping) and nice grounds. It was very quiet as it was New Year’s Day but they still charged £10 for an extra hour at checkout.. otherwise perfect stay.

The women behind the desk when we checked in wasn't very welcoming. Didnt even smile or say anything except ask for our name and told us when last orders for dinner was. Didn't ask us if we wanted to book a table or anything which we would have if we had know how terrible it was later on. Went down for dinner at 6.30pm to be told there was no table and restaurant was fully booked. There is only 5 tables in the restaurant and up to 50 rooms if not more. Wheb we asked at bar about table for dinner the guy behind didnt have a clue pretty much told us tough luck and we would have to wait. Luckily a gentlemen was just leaving at the time and gave us his table. We got drinks and ordered food. Food took ages to come, i had a burger that tasted burnt, asked for mayo with it and im still waiting for it to come. My partner has pasta that was average that just had smoked salmon placed on top. The service was just terrible, there was no customer service or anything from employees. The 2 behind the bar was under pressure and didn't really know what to do. The receptionist was just coming down to have a talk to the bar staff rather then helping and ignoring everyone. The other male that eas on in a suit (must be a duty manager) was slow and just couldnt be bothered. Place was ok if your just wanting a place to sleep but if your looking for good service and good food try somewhere else.

...everything looked not fresh, very dirty carpeting of the stairs leading to the pool and an unpleasant smell, completely discouraged from swimming - but very good breakfast :)

Upon arrival the place looked wonderful! Beautiful grounds set in acquaint little English town, it was also close to the Harry Potter tour which was why we decided to stay there. We checked in and went to the room appointed to us to find out that our key didn't work. We had to go back to the front desk and they had to unlock the door using a metal key. We then went into the room to be greeted with a horrific sewage smell and some kind of flying bugs that were all over the windows and walls. We then had to go back to the front desk where we told them of the situation and they said that their receptionist would be in in about 45 minutes and we could wait for them and they could see what rooms were available to change to. I mentioned that we had the studio tour to go to in about an hour so it was cutting it close. We then waited in the bar area and when the receptionist came in about 30 minutes later, she appointed us a different room. By that time we were cutting it so close to our tour time that we threw our bags in the new room-- which was lacking of bugs and smell but was very run down and old feeling, paint chipping and the plugs by the beds did not work and our phones did not get charged overnight like we were expecting which was a little bit of an issue because we were leaving for the airport the next morning-- We then ordered an Uber and left. I was so disgusted by the first room that the first half of our tour was a little bit spoiled. I would not recommend staying here

Terrible, staff very unhelpful and l apparently had a superior room. If that's the case would of hated to see a standard room. Very disappointed as l had taken my young daughter away for a special weekend and was disgusted with the hotel and cost for such a poor hotel. I stay in hotels every week with work and this hotel is the worst by far

The room was really clean and well presented. The staff were all very friendly and the service was very good. The hotel had some pretty views and gardens, but our room didn’t have the best view. I would recommend it to anyone to visit, but the bed was a little hard for my liking :)

Most of the staff were nice some ignorant and rude, the shower was great and the breakfast was lovely. The hotel wasn’t as expected from the pictures on the website, it was only warm in your room, freezing in the corridors, had to wear a coat to go for breakfast, reception staff even had there coats on. Drinks at the bar and food were quiet expensive that we ended up going somewhere else for drinks and food. The bedsheets and towels were dirty and the toilet very rarely flushed! The hotel is a distance away from anything which was a massive pain so was always paying for Ubers. Overall it was ok but won’t be returning.
